Update
Padma (Mrs Mitthal) cannot believe this is happening (re: Salil's choice/Mr Mitthal's consent), and Padma (Mrs Mitthal) cannot believe this is happening (re: Salil's choice/Mr Mitthal's consent), and asks DK to convince Mr Mitthal otherwise. However, DK likens to the idea, and declares that they need to hold the engagement soon. He explains that by doing this, they can ensure that Hari Prasad's signs the papers (re: land); after which, they can create misunderstandings between the couple and call off the engagement. And once things settle, they can arrange for Salil to marry whomever they deem fit. Mr Mitthal agrees to the *whole* idea!
Hari Prasad is talking to his daughter-in-law, asking her to not tell the girls about yesterday. Poorvi interrupts them with her father's breakfast; he tells her he will join her downstairs. As he leaves, his daughter-in-law tells him she will keep quiet.
Arohi tells Saloni that she has told Arjun about last night's incident. Saloni panics, saying that Arjun doesn't trust women, so he will probably kick her out of her job; after which, she will struggle to keep her family's livelihood going. Arohi tries to calm her down and asks her to reiterate last night's events. Saloni explains that she had received a call from someone, asking her to meet with her boss in the store-room on the 5th floor, however, as she got there, she was dragged into the room. When she tried to escape, she banged her head against the cupboard and hurt herself. In that time, the power returned and Arohi arrived. Saloni continues to worry about her job, but Arohi reassures that all will be ok - her dad has always taught her never to hide the truth.
Vikas denies the "allegations" claiming that it is all the doings of the "new"-girl, Arohi. And as for Saloni, she's a characterless girl; but if Arjun is still not convinced by all this, he will resign, and stands-up to hand his resignation-letter. Arjun tells him to relax, he doesn't trust any woman, and nor does he intend to start doing so now. He tells Vikas to call Saloni and Arohi inside.
Arjun asks Saloni of the incident. She begins to explain how she received a call to head to the 5th-floor store-room to collect some files. Arjun stops her and questions why she would be needing to go to the 5th-floor when she is based on the ground-floor? If she was a decent girl she would have known something was amiss. Arohi tries to intervene, but Arjun stops her. He fires Saloni - who runs out crying.
Arohi calls after Saloni, but Arjun stops her from leaving too. He tells her to concentrate on her work - and turns towards Vikas, stating that he promotes him to senior-manager as of today, and orders Arohi to make arrangements for his new nameplate. Vikas gives her a devious smile.
Arohi tries to argue with Arjun, attempting to defend Saloni. However, Arjun is adamant that Saloni was lying otherwise she would have stood her ground. Arohi tries to make him see reason, but he simply leaves.
Salil asks the driver to wait whilst he heads out to buy a bottle of mineral water. As he heads back to the car, he spots Poorvi walking with her dad. He panics, and attempts to avoid being seen by her, esp as he's trying to get his parents to resolve their misunderstanding. However, as they near him, his driver begins to shout after him! (this guy is SO adorable!😳). He thinks they have passed without noticing him, but he is called from behind, and as he turns to look, it's Hari Prasad and Poorvi!
Hari Prasad explains to Poorvi that Salil used to be one of his students many years ago, and is now a successful singer. Hari Prasad states his disappointment over the fact that he has been in the city for so many days, but has not once has he come over to see him. Salil explains that he did, but he wasn't around. They are interrupted by a friend of Hari Prasad's; and so, Hari Prasad heads to speak with him, leaving Salil and Poorvi alone together ...but Poorvi storms off from there!
Saloni tells Arohi that this was exactly what she had feared - Vikas is Arjun's right-hand man. She has lost her job and will now be humiliated too. Vikas interrupts them, telling them that he had warned them both to keep quiet, and so now they have the results of not listening to him before them. He warns Arohi to back off, as otherwise she too will lose her job. As he leaves, Arohi devises a plan to catch Vikas out. Saloni tries to warn her, but she's determined to prove her convictions to Arjun.
Salil tells Arjun the "breaking news" - his parents have agreed to arrange his engagement with the "thappar-wali ladki"! Arjun is bemused by the fact that he hardly knows her. Salil tells him that as far as he's concerned "ek pal ke liye zindagi dhe di ..ek dil ke liye duniya" and predicts that Arjun will himself change these lines, by living them himself. Arjun says that will never happen, however, Salil isn't convinced. Arjun receives a call and leaves. (uh-oh!)
Outside the office gates, Arohi stops Vikas and begins to coax him. Vikas tells her to meet him at his place once her overtime is done, as his wife and kids are away ..so he could do with the company! Saloni tries to warn Arohi - but she won't hear any of it! 😡
Arohi turns up at Vikas's house. As Vikas heads to make them a drink, she puts her recorder on - with a lil prayer. However, as she tries to get him to admit his "true colours", Vikas turns the tables on her. He tells her that he knew she and her friend would try and do something like this, esp as his wife was away, for which reason he had already called the other workers over to witness her real "charachter".
The other employess come out, and Arohi opens her bag, bringing out the dictation-machine, explaining that it was she who was trying to bring out his "true colours" and for that reason she had come here. Vikas dismisses her claims, and says that the boss has also been informed and will be arriving shortly - Arjun appears.
Arohi attempts to explain but Arjun refuses to listen - simply stating that she is fired. (however, he didn't look at her when he was saying this 😉😳😃)
PRECAP – DK, and Mr and Mrs Mitthal arrive outside Hari Prasad's house for the "rishta". Padma is least pleased by their "mahal" ..DK and Mr Mitthal remind her it's all a farce, they are only "acting" not performing real relations.
