Part 21

The night was sleepless for him. He has to prove himself but how? He couldn't understand how to start, what should he do for making change. He was not even good in studies. But I have to start from somewhere. The whole night arjun was planning what to do.

next day he woke up early, in fact he barely slept at night. So many things were running in his mind. Rudra was happy to see him early on the table of breakfast.

Arjun smiled to him : good morning dad.

Good morning my boy. How r u feeling?

Much better dad.

Rudra patted seat beside him to sit. When he took seat Rudra was pouring juice in a glass for him.

Kumud angrily watching this father - son loving act. This change in both of them making her restless. She doesn't want her biggest fear to come true.

Arjun gulped the juice and said : dad I want to talk to u about...

What son? Just say it. Do u want something?

No dad, actually I want to join business.

Kumud choked on her own food and coughed. She apologized quickly and left the table to hide her displeasure.

Rudra ignored her because he was more focused on the words Arjun just said. He was pleasantly surprised but still couldn't believe, he asked to make sure : are u serious?

Yes dad I am serious. I know I have never done anything to make u proud. I am not even capable for this but I want to make myself. I need your help and I m sure if you will guide me, I'll learn everything soon.

Rudra's happiness has no limit, this is the thing he wanted from the day his son born, one day his elder son Arjun run his whole business. He still couldn't believe to see this spoilt boy's interest in work. He laughed and replied I hope your head is not hurt.

Dad Plz I m not kidding, I really want to prove myself.

Sure son, I m very happy to see your interest in something significant, Seems like you are finally growing up. I would love to train you but before that you have to score good in studies.

Arjun finished his breakfast and moved to his room.

Rudra stopped him: Arjun I m happy to see your efforts but don't ignore your health, you have to look after yourself first.

He nodded before going. Arjun was putting his course books at their appropriate place. He has not even touched them before that's why all were looking in new condition.

To see those thick page books he gulped his own saliva in nervousness and continuously biting nails, Oh god! beta Arjun this is not going to be easy, bohot mehnat karni padegi, he took out his mobile phone and kissed Arohi's smiling pic...But anything for you Arohi. I know you are not completely wrong, every girl wants a guys with whom she can introduce his parents, and proudly say this is my choice, but I m definitely not like that.

He was stumbling with the books, Haah so which one is going to be my first book for today. He chooses accounts first, in only 15 minutes he started feeling sleepy. He shook his head and turned the page, Arjun has always scored good when he was in middle school; he has inherited intelligence but never used it in any good thing. He doesn't have goal, unaware what he wants to do, just living an aimless life. He never understood value of education; study was a waste of time for him.

Everyone surprisingly starring at Arjun with wide eyes when he entered in class with books in hand. He rolled his eyes on their facial expressions and took his seat; he noticed Arohi was not in the class which made him fidgety. Some students were asking about his health in fear but when he replied to one politely that he is fine now, others also came forward to ask. Teacher entered and started his lecture, Arjun was listing everything with full concentration, in between he cross questioned him also, which was another surprise for all the students. Before answering professor was looking at him with shocking expression, he had a doubt was that any kind of a prank? Arjun asked the same question again and as per his job he has to answer because being professor he can't ignore his student's queries.

Whole gang were having fun in canteen, Billy glanced at his watch : guys where is Arjun he told me to come?

May be he skipped college cause of not feeling healthy. Replied Mac.

Yeah may be.

When the period bell rang some other students from first lecture walked in, all were talking about Arjun's strange change. Vick heard them, he ordered one boy to come near and asked what you guys were talking about?

Arjun was in class, with books and he never commented or made fun of the professor even once. He was seriously studying.

All stood up and asked in union : really??

He nodded.

Ok go now.

Romit sat back, I think he got a bad hit on head.

Vick: Yeah I think you are right.

Lets go in, we should take him here, suggested Billy.

Romit: No guys we can't go in, we goes in class only once in week and this week we already visited so we can't go there before next week.

Billy: Yeah right, akhir hamari image ka sawal hai.

Mac: guys lekin Arjun kyon hum sabki image ki ma bahan kar raha hai?

All turned their heads and found Arjun standing front of their faces with backpack on his shoulder.

Arjun? Are you ok buddy? Billy checked his forehead.

He wiped his hand, I m fine, what happened to you?

No what happened to you? You were in class aur vo bhi first period? No man, that's not you.

Arjun pulled a chair and seated himself, all sat around him with eager faces and waiting for his answer, as if they were kids and Arjun was going to tell them story.

Arjun looked at them with raised eye brows, what??

They all asked together, what??

Arjun took a deep breath, he kept his bag on the table and asked, what do you think guys, what is our future?

Future?

Yes, future, have u ever thought what u guys gonna do after all this fun in the college? Life long this gang wars, putting our own lives in danger? Guys hum akhir life se chahte kya hain? Listen don't take me wrong, we are rich kids, we can have everything by snap of a finger, because of our parent's money, but can we say it ours? No! because we didn't own it, so basically we have nothing which we can call ours? Not even a single penny. Without them we are nothing, do we have our own identity, if yes then only a bad boy's image. This was also somewhere linked up by our parent's money, power and connections.

Arjun's words hit their brains badly, they all were silent because they know Arjun was right that time.

Arjun continued so I decided I will make my own money, my own reputation and make my parents proudly say this is my son, I want to make my image as a good person, not a bad boy anymore, guys we are grown ups, this is the time to comprehend what turn we can give to our lives, it's now or never.

You know I always asked to my dad what has he done for me, he never gave me the love and attention I wanted but then I realized what I have done for him, for his happiness. Guys I said what I wanted to say, but I can't force any of you, you can decide what you wanna do?

Oye aise kaise bol diya, jab sare bure kaam sath kiye toh achche kam tujhe akele kaise karne dein? Replied Billy.

Mac: he is right, Arjun how we never realized it before. Ok so if you gave us this light, you have to guide us further...

Arjun glanced at his watch, ok guys its 10 minutes for the next class, come with me?

Class? Their faces turned pale.

Vick gulped his saliva and asked? Kal se start Karein toh?

Arjun narrowed his eyes.

Vo actually meri tabiyat kuchh thik nahi hai?

Oh haan I have a headache too said Romit holding his head.

Arjun rolled his eyes and grabbed them all by collar, I m still boss of this gang now come, he dragged them all in the class.

First day was definitely tough for them, four of them spent the period by sleeping, Arjun was shaking them time to time. Diya and Simi were also throwing paper balls on them but they were deep in sleep. Then they decided not to waste more time, its better to concentrate on the lectures.

Arohi was silently starring at the window, she knows skipping classes everyday won't help, it will only affect her studies. But she has no courage to face him, neither any of them, she feels guilty to see them, she feels like a cheater. They were all her friends and now she can't handle their questioning and blaming eyes.

But having no other option she decided to go today, she changed in a simple suit and walked out. She was going alone because of avoiding meeting shefali also, shefali cant help herself talking or mentioning about Arjun, No matter how many times Arohi warned her.

When Arohi reached College she was expecting everyone's anger on her but instead of that, whole gang normally talking to her as nothing happened? Same things with Diya, Simi and Shafali, to see that Arohi was feeling more guilty, that here her friends trying not to make her uncomfortable and she was hurting them all, but somewhere she has another thought too, may be she was right, may be they weren't affected by this, what if Arjun also trying to forget her and move on, this single thought hammering her heart but she hated this, she was the one who wants this then now why she is feeling this way. Ok guys I m going to class bye...

Why bye, we all are also coming.

Yes, and they all followed her.

Arohi was surprised to found Arjun already in class with opened book, she was blinking her eyes to clear the vision but again and again same view, he looked at her and waved his hand to her, hii Arohi, then back to his book.

Everyone settled but she was still standing there, teacher came and cleared his throat to get an attention from the class, to see him she also quickly took seat.

In the whole class Arohi was shockingly watching them seriously studying, none of them making fun of the professor, no jokes, no paper ball fighting, no massage passing and no masti. But which thing surprised her most were Arjun's questions, only an intelligent boy can catch these queries, which was making her opening mouth like a fish...

What is happening? Firstly they all were behaving normally and now abnormally studying, they can't be them...they all hate study and attending class, I know I m dreaming? She rubbed her eyes and looked again at them, Simi and Shefali were giggling to see Arohi's reaction because first day same condition was theirs.
