Part 16

Three weeks had passed since Rashi and Mikhail's face off. Rashi had started attending office from the next day itself. She was not interested in her family business but she wanted to learn how to operate a business and what it takes to start afresh. She was lucky enough to have a readymade mould to study, to learn from, something that she had ignored all these years. But now was the time to do something for herself, even if it means using her family resources to start with. She spoke to people in every department, trying to understand the working and the challenges faced. Arjun and Billu helped her all that she asked for. She was also given a cabin of her own to work out of.

Arjun was secretly very proud of his sister. Secretly, because he was not used to expressing himself so well in words. Arohi had definitely taught him to talk but certain emotions, he was still better off exhibiting with his eyes. And that's the best language that Rashi could understand when it came to Arjun. Her brothers eyes gave away more of him than he wanted to, but only she could read it. Another reason for her to come to office was spend time with Arjun and keep an eye on him. His i-don't-care fake attitude did not work with her. She knew he was tensed about something, and that was what she wanted to investigate.

Mikhail was an integral part of every meeting from that day. Although he had bagged a major deal, he could not contribute anything beyond that. Even though Rudra knew that, he continued keeping Mikhail in charge of the Khurana project. He needed to keep Arjun in check, he could not take any chances anymore.

Fortunately Gauris father had decided to stay out of the deal completely. He was only interested in his daughters bail looks like, thought Arjun. No matter what Gauri had done, she was still his daughter and it was not wrong if her father wanted to get her back. That's what parents did for their children. Forgive them. But Arjun would never forgive Gauri. That was one of the reasons he was glad that she had not been around. Because if he sees her again, noone could save her from his wrath.

"Kitna achha lagta haina inn dono ko saath dekhke?" Lovedeep spoke to Rashi as her eyes followed Arohi, who was running behind Raj trying to catch him.

The new wedding that Love had taken up was scheduled for tomorrow and the decorations were in full swing. Raj was having a ball playing with the flowers and hiding behind the semi transparent curtains and make Arohi look for him. This was the safest place to meet, unlike the caf, where Rajveer had interrupted and Mikhail had seen them.

"Ye lo' Tumhare kal ke kapde." Rashi handed a bag to Lovedeep.

"Thanks yaa Rashi. Lekin tu merese inke paise kyu nahi lena chahti?"

"Lovedeep, ye mera sabse pehla design hai jo maine actual mein stitch karvaya hai, wo bhi tumhare zid ki wajah se. Agar tum ye kal shaadi mein pehenti ho to tum mere liye free mein marketing karrahi ho. Kya tum usske paise mujhse nahi logi???"

Lovedeep smiled. They had really grown thick of friends in the last three weeks. When Love found out about Rashi's passion and how she was aspiring to fulfill it, she encouraged her to make something for her, pretending that she needed a costume for this prestigious wedding. She knew how important it was to be independent in todays world, and she wanted to help her friend in achieving her dreams.

"Thik hai. Lekin agar tujhe iss ress ki wajah se clients miley to commission to mein jaroor loongi!" Lovedeep winked at her as they both laughed. Soon they joined Raj and Arohi in their games till lunch break was over and Rashi and Raj headed back home.

"Hi Arjun'"

Arjun felt a hand on his shoulder, caressing him like light breeze. His fingers stilled on the laptop. He was tired of avoiding this woman, yet she found out new ways to run into him. He could neither be rude to her nor sweet. He was just not interested, but clearly she could not see that.

"Hi Natasha. Im a bit busy now. I'll catch up with you in sometime."

Natasha closed his laptop and perched herself on the corner of his desk. "Kya iss office mein tum akele kaam karte ho? Jab dekho busy busy busy. I admit that workaholic men turn me on, lekin tum kuch jyada karrahe ho. Aise tum mujhe impress nahi kar paoge."

Arjun stared at her. "Arjun Singhania ko kisi ko impress karne ki jarurat nahi hai. Maine kaha na, Im busy." He opened his laptop again and resumed working.

"Fine. Karo apna kaam. Waise tumhari woh over possessive biwi kaha hai? Agar maine tumse baat ki toh suddenly appear nahi hogi na kahise!" Natasha chuckled to herself while Arjun ignored her. He was getting on her nerves now. Noone ignored Natasha Kapoor, and she knew how to get him to react.

"Ab toh sirf 5 mahine bache hain tumhare divorce mein. Usske baad sirf tum' aur mein." Natasha bend towards Arjun to whisper in his ears. "Aur humey disturb karne waala koi nahi. I cant wait Arjun Singhania. I just cant wait to make you mine."

Arjun froze. Kissing him softly on his cheek, Natasha moved out of his cabin.

Arjun shut his laptop. 5 months. He was too busy worrying about the whole Khurana deal and Rashi and had completely neglected this fact. And something else. Lifting up the phone, he called Billu in the cabin.

Arjun left her one arm and moved his hand to hold the back of her head. He stared at Arohis lips the same way that she was staring at his. Arohi gulped and unknowingly licked her suddenly dry lips.

That was it.

Arjun grabbed the back of her head and dragged her down to crash his lips on hers. Arohi jerked at the sudden contact, and her hands scrunched up his vest in her fists. Arjun held her lips between his to give her a moment to familiarize. As soon as she relaxed, he started moving his lips against hers. Their hot breath on each other was getting mixed up as Arohi tried to catch up with the rhythm. He dragged his tongue between her lips, indicating her to open her mouth. She gasped at the wet touch and Arjun took the opportunity to push his tongue inside her mouth and find hers. The fire crackling away in the fireplace was competing with the fire ignited by these two hungry souls.

Arohis hands slowly made their way upwards towards Arjuns neck. Arjuns other hand went around Arohis waist as he held her firmly on top of him. Arohi held Arjuns neck as she pushed herself upwards along his length, rubbing her entire form against his without breaking the kiss. Arjun shuddered as his hold tightened on her and he angled her head to deepen the kiss. He took her lower lip and began gently sucking on it. Arohi gasped and tried to pull free from this torture but Arjun held on her bottom lip with his teeth. Arohis feelings were going completely out of control as he bit her lip softly. She pulled Arjun closer and turned to her right, trying to get him on top of her. Before Arjun could realise what was happening, they both had rolled off the couch and landed on the rug below with a thud.

Arohis eyes jerked open at the impact and she immediately sat up. Looking around she realised that it was dark, except for the night lamp, she was in her bed, in her house. Ahluwalia Aashiana. And she was alone.

She cupped her forehead with hand and realised that she was sweating, she moved the hand in her hair and closed her eyes. It had felt so real. Her fingers moved to her lips. She could still feel his lips on hers. Her eyes snapped open as the emotions refused to leave her body and her mind forced her to come back to the present. Her brain was completely muddled up. Was it her fantasy or reality???

"Aapko lagta hai ye thik samay hai aisa kuch karneka?" Amrit asked her husband.

"Pata nahi. Lekin koshish karne mein kya problem hai. Abhi ke abhi kuch decide karna jaroori nahi hai. Lekin humey aage ka bhi toh sochna haina."

Amrit eyebrows furrowed as her mind started thinking deeply. Sudhir put his hand on hers.

"Mein jaanta hu ki baauji hospital mein hain aur iss waqt tumhe ye thik nahi lagraha. Lekin hum unke uthne ka kab tak intezar karenge Amrit. Aaj 2 mahine hogaye doctors keh rahe hain ki he is stable and safe. Lekin jo insaan coma mein hai woh uthne ke liye 2 mahine ya 2 saal bhi le sakta hai. Tab tak hum apni zindagi rok ke nahi rakh sakte. And if we do that then Bauji himself will be annoyed at us after he wakes up."

"Thik hai. Lekin agar Arohi nahi maani toh? Aap toh jaante hi hai usske saath kya kya hua hai. Aur mujhe nahi lagta ki woh ab tak Arjun ko bhula paayi hai. Hamey usse thoda time dena chahiye."

"Toh hum usse woh denge. Waise bhi hum kaunsi usski shaadi kara rahe hain. Usska divorce hone mein 5 mahine baaki hain. Hum sirf usse ek family friend ki tarah introduce karte hain. Let them be friends and understand each other. Fir baad mein mauka dekhke Arohi ko bata denge."

Amrit was convinced, if not totally. She was worried for her only child and wanted her to be completely happy again. She nodded. "Waise ladke ka naam kya hai?"

Lovedeep could not believe her ears. How can her bhaiya bhabhi plan something like this behind their backs. Well, technically they were not doing anything wrong. But then, this was Arohi's life and she had full right to decide how to lead it. She needed to know who he was whenever they planned to make her meet him. Thank god she had happened to pass their room and listen to this piece of information.

She turned around and headed towards Arohis room. She would be sleeping right now, maybe she should talk to her later. It was not like they were getting the boy tomorrow itself to meet her. Lovedeep needed to sit down and calmly explain everything with Arohi. And now was not the time to do that. Deciding to talk to her later, Love moved towards her room.
