~|| Chapter 3 ||~
Arohi woke up feeling the bright rays of sun on her. She noticed that she was in the same clothes which she was wearing yesterday and she was sitting on the floor with her head on the edge of her bed. She got up and went to the bathroom. She looked at her pale face and her red eyes which were because of crying all night. When Arohi came back to her room yesterday night she could not hold her tears which she was holding from a long time. She went near her bed and fell on the floor and cried keeping her head on the edge of her bed. She cried for a long time and fell asleep in the same position sobbing.
Arohi washed her face with cold water and came back to her room. She went to the window of her room to feel the morning breeze. As she felt the breeze on her face she calmed a bit and leaned her head on the side looking out of the window and thinking about her life. Thinking about the pain she had faced all these years, the pain which was given by her father, the biggest pain; hatred.
After some time she went towards her bathroom to take bath and after that she came down to the breakfast table and saw Purvi serving breakfast to Arvind. This is the right time to talk to her father she thought.
She moved towards the breakfast table, greeted them and sat on the opposite chair of Arvind. She was just about to talk to Arvind but Arvind got up from there and went away. Arohi was now getting angry, why is he behaving like this with her? Here she wants to talk to him and he's not even bothered to talk. But was that a new thing?? It had always happened with her. She shook her head in disgust thinking about this.
Arvind walked into his room and closed his door and started pacing from left to right then right to left. He didn't want to talk to Arohi. He knew that Arohi wants to talk about studying ahead and he was completely against it. He just wanted her to get married and move out of this house and this was the perfect time for it. One of his clients had once told him that he's looking for a girl for his son that time Arvind had told him that even he's looking for a boy for his daughter. His client had told him that he'll talk to his son and then let Arvind know. But he had not called up yet. Arvind was getting restless now; he picked up his phone and called up his client.
Arohi and Purvi were waiting for Salil for the breakfast; he was busy on an important business call and had told Purvi that he'll be down in 5 minutes. Salil came and joined Purvi and Arohi for breakfast; All three of them would have breakfast together every day. Purvi broke the silence "So where are you taking us?" she said looking at Salil. Salil who was thinking about something looked at her for a moment, recollecting what she said. He had an important project to complete this week and had no time to go out with them but he could not say no to them so said "Where ever you both want to go??" just then an idea plopped in his mind and he said "or rather why don't you both go for shopping today?" Purvi and Arohi immediately looked up at him hearing the word 'shopping.' Salil chuckled looking at both of the girls faces. He removed his credit card and kept it in front of them. Both their faces lit up. Arohi got up from the chair and hugged Salil. "You are the best bhai" she said kissing his cheek. She then took the credit card from the table and did a little dance. Salil and Purvi laughed looking at Arohi dancing like a little girl, she was happy but there was still a little pain in her eyes which did not go unnoticed by Salil.
Arohi then got back to her place to finish the breakfast. "There is so much stuff I have to buy. Clothes, accessories, foot wear, watch; Bhabhi, we'll make a list and then we'll go to the Mall." Said Arohi. "Even I have to buy so much." Said Purvi. Salil eyes grew wide listening to them "Buy whatever you both want but just don't empty my pocket" said Salil with a cheeky smile. Arohi and Purvi gave him a glare. "Let's go to my room and we'll make the list." Arohi told Purvi. "I also have to get few stuff's for the house." Said Purvi while walking with Arohi to the room leaving Salil behind. Salil shook his head looking at the two women of his life.

Arjun and Neev entered in their house, they had gone for a morning walk to the park which was near their house. Arjun and Neev were talking about something that's when Arjun's eyes fell on the figure sitting on the couch, his mother. The expression on his face changed looking at her. His past started flashing in his mind. She was the person who once showed so much love to him and then completely ignored him; the same person because of whom he had to stay away from his father and his brother whom he loved so much; the same person whom once he loved so much and now he loathed her.
Neev looked at Arjun, he had asked him something and when he didn't get an answer, he turned to look at Arjun and noticed the change in Arjun. Neev got confused, a while ago Arjun was smiling and now his face was pale. Neev followed Arjun's gaze to find out what he was gazing at. Neev frowned looking at the empty hall. He then looked at Arjun and again to the hall. 'What is he looking at?' he thought. He shook Arjun "Bro, Bro" but no response. He again tried a bit louder this time "Bro" finally he sighed when Arjun turned his face towards him but his face was still pale.
Arjun was still in his thoughts when he felt some one shaking me, he ignored first and again he felt the same and this time he also heard someone saying "Bro" he turned his face towards the voice and saw Neev shaking him and calling him, he came out of his thoughts and heard Neev "What happened, you were just gazing at the empty hall, are you alright?" Arjun looked at the hall which was now empty she must have gone he thought. "I am fine; I just remembered something and got lost in it." Arjun replied to Neev not meeting his eyes. "Are you sure? You don't look good." Said Neev. This time Arjun looked at Neev and saw concern in his little brother eyes. Arjun smiled and ruffled Neev's hair and said "I'm fine. What were you saying?" said Arjun.
They were moving towards the dining table that's when Neev got a call and he excused himself. Arjun sat on the chair and asked the butler to serve the breakfast. Neev came back and sat with Arjun. "Girlfriend huh?" Arjun asked to Neev. Neev looked at Arjun and replied "Naa, it was just Ajay was asking to come for bowling." "Why don't you come along bro?" Neev added. Arjun thought for a moment and asked "Where?" "To the Mall, the gaming section is amazing out there." Replied Neev. "I'm in. Okay tell me now how many girls?" Arjun asked teasingly. Neev kept his right hand on his heart leaned back on his chair and replied "Meri itni achi kismat kahaan." Arjun looked at his filmy brother and burst out laughing and Neev joined him. They rest of the breakfast was same fun.

"Neev I am going to charity function at Little Angel's orphanage and I want you to come with me." Said Kumud to Neev in an orderly tone. Neev was in his room working on his laptop. He looked up at his mom and said "Mom you'll have to go alone I cannot join you. I and Bro are going to the Mall for bowling along with my friends." "No you are not going." Kumud snapped. She would have not said no to Neev if Arjun would not have been in the picture. Neev was shocked hearing what his mother just said she had never said him no. "Why?" asked Neev. "Because I'm saying so." Replied Kumud coldly and added "I've told you many times to stay away from him but you never listen to me."
Neev now understood the reason behind his mother saying no to him. "Why do you always tell me to stay away from bro? Why do you hate him so much? Just give me one valid reason." Said Neev, even he was angry now. "Because he's your step brother." Said Kumud. "That's not a valid reason Mom and I AM going to the Mall with bro. End of discussion" said Neev while enhancing the word 'am' and started doing his work again.
Kumud was fuming with anger now she came out of Neev's room and rushed in Arjun's room. Kumud pushed the door hard which made Arjun look at her. Kumud came inside and slammed the door shut. Arjun stood up looking at her. He was confused. "Why are you doing this?" asked Kumud, anger could be sensed in her voice. "Huh?" was all Arjun could say he was not getting what she was saying.
Kumud got angrier and said in one breathe "Because of you my son said no to me, he spoke to me rudely which he had never done before but now because of YOU he's doing this." Arjun stood silent "So what do you want me to do?" he asked coldly. "I want you to stay away from my son." Answered Kumud. "He's my brother and I am not going to do that. I have stayed away for a long time but not now." Said Arjun. "He's not your brother." Kumud snapped. "Indeed he is, so what we don't share a blood relation. It doesn't matter to me, what matters to me is the relation which we share from the heart." He turned, now his back was facing Kumud and added "Even if I try to stay away from him I'll not be able to do it, I'll not be able to answer his question as to why I am doing this. If I'll tell him that I am doing this because he's not my real brother, he'll be hurt and I don't want to hurt him." He again turned, now facing Kumud and said in a cold voice "And ma'am for your information, if you think that my not talking to Neev is a good idea? Then forget it, it's not at all a good idea it will not only separate two brothers but it can also harm your relation with him and I never want Neev to face the same situations which I had to go through all these years." Arjun's eyes became wet "I don't want him to stay away from his mother's, father's and brother's love. I don't want and will never let this happen to him. It's very hard to stay away from your family." Said Arjun turning his back to Kumud as tears started roll down his cheek. "I hope you don't want Neev to face this." Arjun said and walked towards the bathroom.
Kumud stood rooted. She was shocked she had never thought that Arjun would ever talk to her like this. She saw the bathroom door opening, not waiting for a second she moved out of the room.
Arjun saw Kumud going out of his room. He sat on the couch and leaned back closing his eyes. He recalled the encounter with Kumud which he just had few moments ago. He was not at all feeling bad about it; in fact he was glad about it. He was sitting in the same position when he heard Neev who was entering his room "Bro, let's go." Neev looked at Arjun and noticed that he is not ready yet. "Just give me 5 minutes" said Arjun.
As Arjun has said he was ready in 5 minutes and then both Arjun and Neev moved towards their car to go to the mall.

"Where did I keep the list?" Arohi was searching the shopping list which she and Purvi had made. "Here it is." She said taking it out glancing at it and then keeping it in her bag again. "Shall we leave." Asked Purvi after she came down from her room. Arohi nodded and they both left for the mall.

"There they are" said Neev pointing towards small group of boys and girls. Arjun and Neev moved towards them. "Hey what's up man?" asked Neev hugging one of his friends. "We were just waiting for you." Said his friend and looked at Arjun who was standing behind and looking at them. Neev's friend gave Neev a 'Who is he?' look. "Oh" exclaimed Neev then went towards Arjun and pulled him towards his group. "Guys meet my big bro Arjun, Arjun Singhania." Said Neev pointing towards Arjun; "And bro this is Ajay, Vinay, Dharmesh, Gaurav, Sheetal and Ria." Neev introduced his friends to Arjun.
"Hi" said Arjun and shook hands with all his friends and gave Neev a knowing look slightly pointing towards the girls. Neev slightly shook his head as to explain his brother that there is nothing like this.
"Okay we have 8 people so we'll make 4 groups, 2 in each, is that fine?" asked Vinay to everyone to which everyone nodded. "So let's make the team." Said Ajay. "I and bro are in the same team and we are going to win today. Every time you'll give me one of these" Neev said pointing towards the girls and Dharmesh and added "and I lose." The girls gave Neev a glare and Darmesh was not bothered about it. The others laughed out loud. "Okay then Neev and Arjun in one group." Said Ajay pointing towards the both. "Dharmesh and me in one, Gaurav and Sheetal in one and you two in one." Ajay said and in the last pointed towards Vinay and Ria. "So let's get started" said Neev.
Purvi and Arohi were entering the mall. As soon as Arohi stepped in she felt something different. There was something different in the air. She was felling so good, so calm. She closed her eyes and smiled faintly, feeling the air. 'It feels so good' she thought. She came out of her trance when she heard Purvi say "let's go to the clothes section first." "That's cool" said Arohi and then both moved towards the clothes section.
"How's this?" Purvi asked to Arohi, glancing at red anarkali dress with net sleeves and golden work in the front. "It's nice." Said Arohi. "Then try it on." Said Purvi handling the dress to Arohi. Arohi gave Purvi a questioning look. "What? Just try it, it will look good on you. Now GO!!" Purvi said pushing Arohi towards the trial room.
Arohi wore the dress and looked at herself in the mirror it indeed was looking good on her. Purvi looked at Arohi as she came out of the trial room "You are looking beautiful Arohi, it looking SO good on you." Said Purvi. "Yes, even I liked it, especially this work on it." Said Arohi pointing towards the golden work on her dress. "Okay, I'll change and come and we'll look for more." Said Arohi and moved towards the trial room to change into her previous clothes.
Arohi and Purvi bought few more clothes for their selves. Purvi mostly brought Salwaar Kameezes and Sari's for herself. She also made Arohi buy a Sari. Arohi first denied as she already had two saris; one she had worn on Salil and Purvi's weeding and one the farewell party in the college but Purvi made her buy one saying she looks good in them. Arohi also bought few Kurti's and a pair of jeans for herself. They then bought accessories matching to their dresses. Salil is surely going to get a heart attack when his credit card bill will come.
Arohi and Purvi were going towards the footwear section "Oh I forgot to take the bag from the baggage counter." Exclaimed Purvi and then added "Arohi you wait here I'll go and get the bag." Arohi nodded and looked at Purvi's back. Arohi then looked here and there as to finding something to grab her attention.
'Where is Bhabhi? She should have come back by now.' Thought Arohi. "I should go and check." Arohi murmured to herself. She turned herself to the opposite direction and was about to collide with the person but thanks to God, the person moved from the side of Arohi.
*Ring Ring*
Arjun looked at his ringing cell phone and looked at the caller. "Excuse Me; I have to take this call." Arjun excused himself from the group and moved out. It was an important business call which he could not have ignored or else it would have brought him big loss.
After finishing the call he kept the cell phone in his pocket and was moving towards the game zone again and was about to collide with a girl but before it could happen he moved from her side so that they don't collide.
And they both crossed each other and went towards opposite directions...
