#Chapter 2

"Hello Papa"

"What happened Arohi?" Dr Ashutosh said in a boring voice that made it clear to Arohi that he was not interested in talking to her.

"Papa A—Ar—Arjun, your Sunny is in hospital." She said stammering.

"Oh yeah Sunny is already there? I never knew he will be so much interested to join the hospital on the first day itself and I was waiting for him at home. I saw you getting away. Learn something from sunny Arohi. He is so responsible and you try to mess up with everything that comes to you. For God sake Arohi you are a Doctor, by default you must be responsible." Dr. Ashutosh begins scolding Arohi. This is what that always happens. Arohi's happy go lucky nature was the cause of Dr. Ashutosh's constant blood pressure increase.

"Papa Arjun is hurt…."Arohi said choking that stopped Dr. Ashutosh's accusations. He remained silent still not understanding what she was talking about. All the negative thoughts started revolving all around his head. He was coming back home today did the plane…. No he haven't heard any news of the crash then what?

"Papa are you okay?"

"Arohi instead of telling me how is sunny you are asking me about myself? Have you totally lost your mind?" Dr. Ashutosh snapped choking at every third word.

"Papa he is fine now. Still unconscious but I am hoping that he will be up in 24 hours. Dad told me to call you they are already on the way to the hospital." Arohi said softly gaining her lost calm.

"Where are you beta?" Dr. Ashutosh said with a lump in his throat.

Arohi was stunned. She did not remember the last time her father called her beta. Now she was in tears. After her mother's death she was all alone. She knew her father loved her but this was something she hadn't heard from last she doesn't know how many years.

"I am at hospital Papa." She said trying to cover her shaky voice.

"Who operated Sunny?" Dr. Ashutosh asked her softly.

"Me Papa." She said in such a soft voice that was almost impossible to hear and then she heard something that made her thud on the chair.

"I am sorry dear I shouldn't have been so rude to you. You proved yourself. God bless you. I am coming." And with those soft words he hung up the phone.

Arohi was in mixed feelings. She did not have any idea how the past few hour events were already taking a toll on her. She was a strong girl. At least she appeared like a strong one but deep inside she knew she wasn't the way she appeared. She sat on the chair closing her eyes trying to find out exactly where everything got wrong.

As she begins scrutinizing the past events once again she grew angry at mere the thought of Arjun. "Why did I save him? He was my enemy. Yes of course he is my enemy but not that I am taking his life away from him. I'll make him suffer the entire life in my debt of saving his life. He deserves it. If not him my mother would have been with me till now.

If not him I would have led a happy life with my mother and father both loving me. I would have been an ideal daughter and everyone would have loved me for being the best." She kept on reevaluating what could have happened with the tears in her eyes. She was very angry with herself and she shared that same anger with Arjun. I HATE YOU ARJUN BUT………...

She was lost in the memories of her mother when she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in" she adjusted herself and wiped out all the tears that showed her weak.

Dr. RP and Dr. Kumud walked in. Their eyes were teary. But at the same time they were full of love and blessings for the one person who was standing right in front of them.

Dr. RP and Dr. Kumud came to Arohi and hugged her. They could not control themselves and let their tears flow.

"Thank you Arohi" Dr. Kumud said gratefully.

"Mom! I am also a doctor remember?" Arohi said gaining her wit trying to make them comfortable.

"You are the best daughter anyone can have." RP said proudly.

"Any doubt?" Arohi said mockingly making all three of them laugh.

"Where is Rashi?" Arohi asked playing with her car keys.

"She is with her brother. He is awake." At these words Arohi was amazed.

"Awake? What was the time then?" she thought to herself and glanced at her watch. It was 9 at night he was recovering faster than she thought.

By the look of her face RP guessed that she was confused.

"Ashu is also there with him. I told Ashu see my daughter is the best usually these kinds of patients need 24 hours to be in normal state but my daughter's patient is up within 6 hours. Don't you ever point a figure on my daughter again." RP said smiling wide.

His words brought Arohi back to normal and a grin spread across her face but she was not ready to face Arjun. Not yet. But she was his doctor. She needs to check on him.

"But how is that nobody informed me about my patient's sudden recovery?" Arohi said rolling her eyes.

"Oh we apologies for that Dr. Arohi." Kumud said now suppressing her laugh.

"All of us checked Arjun and he too checked himself so I do not think that will be problem. He is recovering quite fast. I guess after 2 days we can take him home." RP said confidently.

"Sure Dad, as you all and the great Dr. Arjun Singhania himself checked him I do not think all the master minds will be at fault and me cross checking him is not at all what I should do. This may lead to something that is not good for his health." Arohi said first grinning and then a little serious.

"Dad then I think I should leave for my duty. I am supposed to be on night shift." She said with displeasure. She was tired but when it comes to duty she cannot back step.

"You are tired Arohi. Rashi will fill in you. You go to home and rest. You take over Rashi's duty in the morning." Kumud said placating her.

"No mom papa will not be happy with it." Arohi said with a soft smile." I'll be alright. By the way who is staying with Arjun?" Arohi said trying to look normal but deeper in heart she wanted to see Arjun alone. She hated this thought but yet she wanted to see him.

"I don't think it is necessary for us to stay over here as he is recovering. It is not that he will be alone one of the family member is with him so I do not think it will be a problem." RP said signally Kumud.

"Yes Arohi when you are there I don't think there is any problem." Kumud said putting her hand on Arohi's head.

"Okay Mom and Dad I am going on the rounds now." Arohi said with a relief.

"Why don't you start your rounds from I.C.U.? Let Arjun for once get the homely feeling of having his whole family by his side." RP said casually.

Whole family? Yeah right I am his family. That was rubbish but it was the truth. Arohi thought to herself and nodded her head, she took her stethoscope and moved out of her cabin with Dr. RP and Dr. Kumud.

As they walk the passage to I.C.U. Arohi was in thoughts as to how she would face him. She was his savior but she didn't know how she will make him suffer for that. She was not prepared for that yet.

25 years ago on 11^th of October Arjun Singhania was born and just after 14 days on 25^th October Arohi followed him. Ever since then she didn't remember ever being separated from Arjun. They went to same school, same professional college. They live in same house. Their room's are on same floor. They love cars the same way. They are foodie, they are sleep lovers, and they are always together in whatever they do until two years back when Arohi came back to India from London and he stayed there because he doesn't wanted to come.

They were always the bright student. They never studied but somehow they never left their top position. The most irritating thing for Arjun was Arohi always ranked first because of just 1 mark difference till they completed their M.B.B.S. Then she came back to India for M.S. internship and his way was clear. He topped his M.S. now he was back as to join their hospital. SAHARA was always a hospital for all people, rich poor does not mattered. What mattered was that the patient must be treated well.

Arohi wanted to take revenge of her mother's death so she never missed any chance to irritate or hurt Arjun. When they were 9 Arohi's mother Dr. Amrit Ahluwalia died trying to save Arjun. He was riding a bicycle. Even though he was warned not to go beyond their land he didn't listened to his parents and sneaked away. He was about to hit a truck when Dr. Amrit saw while coming from the hospital and put her car in middle of both Arjun and the truck losing her life on the spot. Ever since then Arohi heated him like anything and to make matter worse Dr. Ashutosh loved Arjun as he always craved for a son. Arjun was the only boy in the whole house so again Arohi was led to corner. RP and Kumud loved her like their own daughter. They never made any difference between Rashi and Arohi. RP and Ashutosh were friends from college and then they decided to build a hospital. Ever since they started their carrier they lived together and that has not changed until now. Till 9 years Arohi and Arjun were the best buddies. Arohi was always at Arjun's side but her mother's death tore her apart. Even though she was bright she purposely came second and gave Arjun to stand first in the class since nursery to 9 years because she knew that 1^st place is the most important thing in Arjun's life but after her mother's death she promised herself that as long as Arjun and she is together anywhere she is not letting him win. She choose Dr. as a profession only to put down Arjun but when she realized that being Dr. was no fun but a serious matter she came back to India. But now that Arjun was back in her life she has to think of some plane. Arohi all the while thought to herself as she followed RP and Kumud opening the I.C.U. door……………

P.S. Hope this isn't boring I specially updated this to clear some of your doubts I know it's difficult to hang around having doubts in mind...

What an update mrinal. U clng it borng? M so luvng it yaar. So,we got 2 knw d reasn why aru hate arjun. Luv family bondng so much. Bt u make ashutosh aru's father...ha ha:) damn luv it.
