#Chapter 10 (a)
"Arjun my cabin please want to have a word."
"What is it Dr. Arohi I am busy."
"Now" Arohi was determined. She was not ready to let Arjun go easily nor was she planning to make any scene in front of all.
She turned giving Arjun a deadly glare and left to her cabin'
As she entered into the cabin she put her stethoscope on the table almost as a bang. She was not going to let Arjun carry out his same behavior in future not when she was her damn husband whether she like it or not but by default he was her Arjun. As "her Arjun" words echoed in her mind again she couldn't help but blush a little. She saw her reflection in the table where her laptop stood flashing a wallpaper of her entire family and friends including Arjun. As she was staring at the image of her and Arjun together in the family photograph she was all again in the thoughts that is it really possible that they can go ahead with this marriage? Perhaps she must give her it a'. and she heard the door of her cabin open and Arjun entered.
When Arjun came inside he could see the leftovers of the blush that appeared on Arohi's face while she was in the thoughts of her and Arjun being really together. Arjun narrowed his eyes to her sudden change of expression. Actually he was scared that she might just change her mind on having revenge on him and at any cost he is not going to let this happen. He want her to fight he was pleading to God for a fight a nice and decent fight that they always had. He preferred dying in hands of Arohi but not leaving under the same roof, in the same room, sleeping on the same bed and not fighting. What if they were husband and wife? This relation demands most of the fights but as far as Arjun could understand Arohi she wanted to behave like a real wife but he was not ready to move ahead with the relationship. He was scared.
Arohi saw Arjun entering into the cabin and her blushing face became serious. She pulled herself back remembering what she must do now.
"How dare you enter without a knock?" Arohi quickly let her anger that she put to a corner for a while take power in hands again.
She is back Arjun thought to himself and with a triumphed smile on his face he came forward to stand in front of her.
"I did knock didn't you here?" Arjun said with a chuckle
"I guess you were busy in blushing about something" and he tried to look at the laptop what was it. He was curious.
But Arohi came in the middle blocking his way.
"What?" She asked suspicious.
"Nothing" said Arjun nodding his head with NO and moved away.
"I think you called me for some issue? If not for any issue I have work pending Dr. Arohi." Arjun said trying to sound professional.
Arohi narrowed her eyes as she exactly knew he wants her to show her real colors when it comes to work.
"Yes indeed. So how is that you took so much trouble to change our duties Dr. Singhania?" Arohi asked in the same tone as Arjun.
"Oh that I thought even I have full right to know about what is happening in my hospital. I wasn't there when the interns got the admission so I thought let us introduce myself to them." Arjun was casual.
"Well that was so decent of you but how is that the decency took your leave when it comes to inform me?" Arohi was trying to keep cool.
"I am really sorry I forgot to inform you Dr. just now when you came to call me in the cabin I realized that I have not informed you. That was my mistake." Arjun said suppressing his laughter.
As Arohi noticed it she got the confirmation she was searching for.
"Dr. Arjun Singhania I know what you really did and please laugh out loud as this might be your last laugh for today." Arohi was fuming.
"But it was just change in the schedule Arohi" Arjun said trying to sound innocent.
"Yes change of schedule on purpose that great Dr. Arjun did himself just to have fun with the girls who are at least 5 to 6 years younger to him. He is the same not even a hair is changed. Before the girls were after him and now that he is married he is after girls. How decent and justified." Arohi spoke so much without breathing and then gasped for air.
Arjun gave her glass of water which was on the table without thinking much Arohi took it from him and drank the water that was when Arjun let out a loud chuckle and then started laughing like a total freak he couldn't control it anymore.
That is when Arohi put the glass on the table and pushed Arjun on the chest making him loose his balance and fall on the ground. Instead of falling back he fell on the chest as he was trying to control his laughter and balance he stumbled with the chair and thud on the ground. The moment he hit the ground the laugh was replaced by a loud cry that made Arohi jump on the place she was.
"Ouch" Arjun was in pain
"Is it hurting much? I am sorry Arjun I didn't '" and there was nothing she can speak her eyes were already occupied by her pal which stood with her each time she felt extreme'
She nearly forgot that Arjun was hurt near chest and he wasn't fully recovered. Arjun was lying there making no attempt to get up
"Sunny baby are you ok?" Arohi was so concerned that she didn't even know what was she said.
At the sound of Arohi's worried voice and the way she said him sunny baby made Arjun still on the floor he has fallen.
"Sunny baby? What the hell was this?" it was difficult for Arjun to digest those two words and he want earth to swallow him the very moment.
He was hurt but not so much. It was okay he just wanted to get the sympathy of Arohi for a while and then pull her leg again but now the pain was increasing. It wasn't just a pain but a mental torture. She was torturing him to death that is what he felt.
"Come on Arjun no sweet Arohi any more I want fight." He was framing something he knew was he must make her angry. Her sweet nature was killing him like a slow poison.
"That must be her plan but I am not letting her get under my skin." He thought to himself.
One thing he knew very well that she hated when he does something impulsive. Like either hitting her or kissing her. Yes kissing her. As he was thinking a memory came across his mind. The memory of their first kiss;
*At the age of 17 (Arjun's point of view)*
"Arohi I want you to come out now?" I heard Papa shouting on her outside her room. She was inside for the whole day that was very unlikely of Arohi. She never was inside the house let leave the room alone for the whole day. I knew what has made her upset but I had no clue what she was doing in the room since morning. Thankfully it was a Sunday. I was sitting in the hall completing the skeleton sketch we were supposing to label as homework. This year was very important for both of our careers we were in 12th standard.
"Arohi come out." Papa yelled for the 9th time but she was in no mood to listen to him. She was as stubborn as her Father. I was annoyed because I was getting disturbed. Not only did Papa's yelling made me distract but fact that I was concerned about hot head also contributed to my distraction. In the same annoyed expression I glanced at Papa. That was the moment he saw me too.
"I am sorry Arjun the psycho isn't listening to me." He said almost pleading that please get her out. He was standing upstairs outside her room helpless.
"It's okay Papa leave her she will be out on her own" I said from the hall loud enough for her to hear.
"I think you are right beta." said papa letting out a sigh and left to his room.
When his dear Arjun said something Papa never said no to him. That was one of the reasons for which Arohi hated me. But now it wasn't the reason the reason was worse than anyone can ever think. The reason behind her spoiled mood is my ex-girlfriend.
Yes ex-girlfriend! The moment she said those words to Arohi she became ex of mine. I will never keep any relation with any girl who doesn't respect Arohi. Whatever happens between us is very personal to both of us. Never did our parents put any questions then who the hell are outsiders? Be it my girlfriend I mean ex I didn't care when it comes to Arohi's pride and honor there is no compromise.
The whole scene kick start yesterday with a kick. Yup with a kick! We were playing football and unfortunately both I and Arohi were in the same team. How did that happen? I had no clue until my dear ex Saachi told me.
We were playing in fare very fare because we were in the same team when it comes to team spirit we can't take chances our differences were always at one corner resting there till the team spirit dies after winning the match. We never lost a single match or competition when we were together that made us the best team and the reason behind all pain as we were chosen to stay together since birth.
After 15 minutes of the match we were really going on very well with 2 goals already in our bucket. Arohi was the only girl player in both the teams and yes I accept that I was protective of her because it was only my right to be around her when she doesn't want me to. Anyone is around her against her will other than me is surely inviting trouble for himself. She wore a red jersey of our team with her number 25 and name Arohi that glittered in gold and shorts which was neither too short nor too long. She behaved like a tom boy but when she wore something like this nobody could take their eyes off her because damn well they knew that she was a girl. A very hot for just the age of 17! It was the chance for the third goal. The first goal was from Arohi and the second mine and at both the time we were communicating through our eyes that lead our football to the net. This time we were doing the same and we were trying to distract the other team. We were so close to each other that anybody seen us would have had wrong impression if they didn't know us but what was on her mind was the goal and my mind, I don't know but I wanted her to hit that goal but suddenly something happened that was very unexpected. Out of nowhere Allen form the other team came and hit on Arohi's shoulder trying to take the ball away and throwing her on me with a jerk. She was on me but to my surprise she didn't struggle to get up. I could feel her bare skin near the waist under my hand. Soft indeed very soft but what was the real center of attraction was her lips, those lips that appeared so soft that I felt like kissing them. Shove what the hell was I thinking? Kissing Arohi! No way as I shoved that unwanted thought I could hear claps all around us and when we both saw both the teams were clapping for us. Why? What did we do?
Arohi adjusted herself and made an attempt to get off me. I helped her and we both stood. We both didn't know what it was when Allen looked at the goal post. There was the ball lying on the ground enjoying all the claps around. Arohi did manage to put that goal despite of that hit.
"What a goal Arohi! And indeed a good support Arjun" said our captain Taylor.
We both smiled and Arohi said
"Thanks" in a slow voice I just nodded. Wow she is great. I thought to myself and shook my head with a grin. But after few minutes from nowhere came Saachi and she pulled Arohi to side in such a way that Arohi was on ground and her hand got scratched.
"Ouch" I could hear her voice but Arohi was not visible as Saachi has hugged me tight.
"See Arjun she is trying to take advantage of you." I heard Saachi say.
"What?" I couldn't understand what she was talking. I made her aside and bend on my knee to see Arohi.
"Are you alright?" I asked her she shook her head in response but I saw tears dwelling on the edge of her eyes.
"Don't lie you are not alright let me see." And I saw blood oozing out all over her hand that was not ready to stop.
"Come let us do the first aid." I told her putting a hand on her shoulders trying to placate her but as soon as we got up Saachi came forward and removed my hand from her shoulder.
"What is wrong with you Saachi?" I yelled.
"What is wrong with you Arjun can't you understand this girl?" Saachi was louder than me.
"What Saachi please make it clear?"
"This girl likes you Arjun that is why she is always around you in your house in college in class everywhere and didn't you see just now what she did? She could have balanced but she fell on you on purpose and then she didn't get up on purpose. She was enjoying a cozy moment with you with your hand on her bare skin. What is it Arjun, what will you call for such sl**y behavior?" Saachi was very loud all students passing by were enjoying the drama.
*Slap* but my slap has louder voice than her vocal cord.
"How dare you?" Saachi said yelling again
"I must say this how dare you say this to Arohi?" I turned to look at Arohi but she has already left I saw her running to the school gate. I wanted to run after her and hug her tightly but I need to put some sense in Saachi's brain and get it done with her.
"How dare you call her like that she is my best friend? Whatever happens between us is solely our problem you are no one to interfere." I was fuming
"I am you girlfriend I have every right in the world'"
"Ex girlfriend." I said interrupting her.
"What you mean ex? Are you breaking up with me?" Saachi was in tears now but I didn't care she deserves that.
"Yes we are done because you don't respect my family. Arohi is my family and dare you say anything to her and you will not go home on your feet." And I turned to leave.
"I did that for you and you are paying me like this?" Saachi was yelling in between the hard sobs now.
"What?" this girl was getting on my nerves.
"Yes I did that for you. You hate her so I troubled her by telling Allen make her fall over you so that I can make her feel ashamed of herself and make you happy but you'."
"Please do not speak a single word. How cheap and the hate we share has nothing to do with anyone. Do you get that and everyone present over here remember do not dare to speak ill of Arohi I hate her but she is my best friend. You people will not understand the bond we share so please shut your mouths and do not interfere. I am the only one who got all right to hurt her in this world not even her own dad and my parents. Remember."
And I turned to leave.

I was trying hard to climb up the pipe. I wanted to see her make it up to her for putting her in horrible situation.
