To his surprise she sang the most beautiful songā¦the song that was only meant for himā¦the song that was made for himā¦the song that she had once written only for him ā¦as she continued singing with all her heart and soul ā¦.all thoughts goneā¦all reason vanishedā¦.only an indescribable feeling that finally focused into rapture when he heard her sing and felt his control breakā¦...reaching forward he cupped her beautiful face and clasped her body tight against him as tears of joy, tears of glory simmered through both their eyes ā¦.. there was no need for any words to express their feelingā¦Love separated them and love only brought them togetherā¦.
Adrenaline pulsed through Arjun, making the beat of his heart hard and painful as he held Arohi's luminous body to himself. He had never experienced this ecstasy before...at last they had managed to forgo all the previous bitterness and be one with each other. It seemed to him that time has stopped and he hoped to hang on to the ethereal beauty of the moment till eternity. The cheerful clapping of the audience broke his trance as he forced himself out of the embrace to look into her beautiful eyes. Her teary eyes pulled a chord of his beating heart as he gently wiped them away. " I am ever so sorryā¦I always knew that you loved me but I got so confusedā¦I was scaredā¦please don't cry sweetheart..." "Shhā¦" she moved forward and leaned her head against his throbbing chestā¦.her sweet fragrance, her supple body, the feel of her breath on his skin vibrated through his whole bodyā¦.."Please Arjun take me out of this partyā¦"she said in a low voice.
Slowly, he reached out and touched the gleaming curve of her bare shoulder with his fingertip. He felt her jerk slightly beneath his touch as if he had burned her and a jolt of sharp, clenching desire shot through him. With deliberate slowness he bent his head, inhaling her scents he brought his lips down to her shoulder " don't you like parties?"
" I don't like crowdsā¦I preferā¦" she breathed, then gave a soft, shivering gasp as his mouth brushed her skin, his free hands playing with her ear lobe . "ā¦.privacyā¦.I don't like being looked at by others"
"Well thenā¦Your wish is my command princess"ā¦Arohi giggled like a little girl as he almost scooped her up in his arms and literally ran away from the charity ball , completely ignoring the bewildered glances from the curious audience. Holding hand they ran and ran like wild teenagers down the sloping lawn and reached the soft grounds of a lake by the old tower .ā¦.its water shimmering like a pool of silver. The ruined walls of the stone tower were dark against the bright sky. All of a sudden she felt like the medieval damsel being rescued by her knight in shining armourā¦a flashing childhood memory of Arjun saving her from Arnav flashed through her mind. From across the lawn she could still hear the music and hearty yells of people as the party escalated. As if understanding her train of thoughts tightening his arms round her shivering waist Arjun whispered huskily "let's go to the top of the towerā¦we wont get more privacy than thatā¦.."
'Arjunā¦it is so dark here I cant see a thing" Arohi said clasping his sleeves.
" Let me carry you then" Arjun hauled her towards him and pushed a button that luminated the staircase.
" That's handyā¦but how did you find the switch'
" Well I used to come here with dad for bird watchingā¦.I know the place"
Arohi chuckled in sheer delight as he lifted her up in his arms and proceeded towards the steps. " You don't have to carry me nowā¦.I can see properly" Arohi said.
" I want to " he said innocently without stopping even for a breath as he carried her up the narrow stairs of the old tower and much to her amazement lowered her down on the roof. It was the view that stole her breath. Heart hammering she looked up at the carpet of diamond stars that glittered in the velvety sky that adorned the crown of the medievel tower. The bright full- moonlight creating a magical effect on the whole setting. She has never seen anything this magicalā¦this breathtaking. However she was not sure weather it was the beautiful setting or the extremely handsome man by her side that was responsible for her racing heart. "It is amazing Arjunā¦"
"Arohiā¦Arohiā¦nothing is as amazing as you are sweetheart" his strong arms folded around her, pulling her towards him and clasping her to his chest as though his life depended on it. "you are the reason for all my happiness" he murmered into her hair huskily. His hands drawling a pattern on her back.
With her face pressed hard against his chest and his arms like bands of steel around her, arohi could hardly breathe. " Arjun..." she mumbled softly " you 're suffocating meā¦"
"Oh God! I am ever so sorry" immediately he let her go but not completely. He tilted her chin so that he could look into her lovely face " I wouldn't hurt you for the world Arohi. I love you so much that I couldn't harm a hair of your head. Please believe me"
Her pulse leapt violently. She could see his heart in his eyes. The sophisticated composed mask that he presented to the outside world was stripped away, his true feelings laid bare and his dark gaze burnt with a love and a touching vulnerability that warmed her to her soul.
" I believe you would never hurt me deliberatelyā¦I was just joking" "But..she hesitated for a moment before she asked him the most important question of her life. " Did you really mean it when you said you loved me" her eyes fixed on his handsome face. " God Arohi! How can you doubt it even now? I love you. I worship you and adore you. I always have and I always will" His voice shook with emotion. " what do you want me to do to prove my loveā¦do you want me to begā¦..to plead"
The anguish in his voice touched her heart. "No Arjun.." she brought her hands up to cover his " I just simply want you to love me as I love you". Gloria aunty was right he did love her. She had been a complete fool not to keep her trust on him.
Caught up in his own emotions , for a moment he didn't seem to hear her. "Because I will begā¦I will plead. I have let you walk away once and almost pushed you away this time but not any more ā¦I have been such an arrogant jerkā¦."
For a moment they simply stared at each other. Then he covered her eager tremulous mouth with his own. He kissed her with an achingly tender passion which stirred her more deeply than anything had ever done before. Her heart sang and she got lost in the wonder of the moment. His mouth burned against her skin as he scattered kisses over her throat and face. Her hips arched up towards him in anticipation. But he stopped his voice crackled with pending emotion" you know Arohi all these years it was only your thought that kept me going ,,it was your lovely face, you voice, your laughter that helped me to come out of my lonlinessā¦ā¦my agony after you left me ā¦.I was devastated but deep down I knew that you will come back to me one dayā¦.Please Arohi promise me you will never leave me again"
Arohi shook her head and laughed softly, tilting her head back and looking up at the night sky, she suddenly felt light and breathless. "Lets forget about everything and Mr Arjun Singhania ā¦I love you sooo much and I am never ever going to leave you I promiseā¦.You will have to bear with me and my temper forever "
ā¦" she said huskily running her hand along his back" Her pulse quickened and she felt electricity crackling through her as Arjun snuggled her back to his warm body. Suddenly she felt the gripping urge to touch him, to feel him all over again. It had been a long time since they had made loveā¦but her whole body still remembered his every single touch, every single caress. He was an amazing loverā¦.a very virile man who can bring all her wild fantacies to life. Her hands came up to cup his head, her fingers sliding into her hair, pulling him down, harder, deeper. her lips parting as they rose to meet his. He sensed a hunger in her that matched his own. But despite of his urges to pull that dress down of her luscious body and savour each and every inch of that delicious flesh he forced himself to keep his surging desire under controlā¦.he wanted to take it slowly this time rather than succumbing to the naked savagery of physical need. They have been through a lot and he just wanted to cherish the momentā¦.their togethernessā¦their emotional oneness. There was still so much that he wanted to tell herā¦there was still so much that he wanted to hear from herā¦..this was his salvationā¦.his purification. He wanted to prove to himself that their relationship went beyond just physical pleasureā¦
Arohi bewildered by Arjun's unresponsiveness pulled away and gasped for air as she steadied herself against the swelling tide of pure desire that threatened to sweep her away. She was expecting Arjun to enjoy the pleasure that she was so willingly offeringā¦.Arjun's hands rested on her shoulders, his thumbs beneath her chin forcing her to look up in his eyes
"No Arohi not this time" he said, much less convincingly, and Arohi tilted her head to the side to deepen the kiss, using her lips, her tongue, her heart and soul to tell him what he had to know'...'that no matter what she had done , she had always loved him and only him. A smile appeared on her lips as she gently tugged his shirt, kissing every inch of the flesh that her action had revealed. Her eyes dark with desire at the mere thought of having him again...her whole body plastered against him...a sensation so open yet vulnerable that it shuddered her very core with anticipation. He moaned and gripped her body tight as if to succumb to all the passionate aggression their connection was emitting. He moaned again and then again when she used her hands dancing them over his shoulders, his arms, his body urging him to get completely overwhelmed by the surging passion the moment was evoking. Wrapping her arms round his neck she breathed "ARJUN"...she was not going to let him change his mind ever again...
"I want you now Arjun" carefully she began to undo the buttons of his shirt. There was nothing hurried about her movements, though her hands shook a little as if to control the powerful need that was building inside her. Arjun stood completely still as she caressingly trailed the back of her fingers down his lean, well muscled and bend her head to kiss his thudding heart beat. Her entire being awake with a raw sensation as she could feel his warm body coming to life. As her hands moved downwards, skimming over the buckle of his belt she felt his whole body tense. For a second his head tilted as if in pain but then he seemed to gather himself and as his hands gripped her shoulders he softly said ""I am all yours for the rest of my life but this time I want it to be perfectā¦"
"Tonight is perfect Arjun" Arohi said a bit agitated at Arjun's indifference. She has been longing for this moment. She could hardly wait and Arjun seemed to be more bothered about the perfectness. She bit her lips to stop herself crying out into the thick silence. In the fading light his face bore an expression of detached intensity that froze her. " what is it Arjunā¦don't you find me attractive any moreā¦don't I excite you any moreā¦.do you think I have put on weight after Aayan's birthā¦do you???
Arjun laughed softly. Her misplaced insecurity touched him. with careful restraint he reached out and took her waist between his hands. " You have no idea how much I want you.. .You are the most attractive woman I have even seen in my life but I want to share this special magic of love making only with my wifeā¦you see what I have got now is only for my wife to have" Tears started to well in her eyes as Arjun bend down on his knee and said " So my darling Arohi ā¦light of my lifeā¦queen of my heart" then he dramatically placed his hand over his chest "will you honour me with the pride of marrying me and becoming my wifeā¦and be the mother of children and the lady of my house"
She took a deep breath as her eyes blurred with hot, stinging tears. They were getting married next week anyways but seeing the expression on his face she just couldn't control her tears. " yes yes yesss ā¦you are my dream ā¦it all begins and end with you ā¦I wuld love to spend my entire life with youā¦I would love to have more children with you and be the mistress of your house and the queen of your heart" He kissed her with a slow and tender passion , his hands cupping her face , his heart beating against hers. He folded her into his body and wrapping his arms around her just held her for the night as the diamond stars cartwheeled through the blue infinity above sealing their togetherness with the promise of a bright futureā¦..
