PART 3
Slowly tiptoeing someone made their way into the kitchen from the back entrance of the house knowing for sure that the person they sought would be there...She closed in the distance between them...
"Booo" Arohi yelled from behind scaring dadi with the sudden gesture...She turned around only to find arohi standing there...
"Arohi...tu...mujhe toh dara hi diya tha...kya kabhi normal insan ki tarah front door se nahi aa sakti tu?"
"Aa toh sakti hun dadi...par na toh mein normal hun aur na hi usmein koi maza hai" Arohi says grinning while occupying her usual place on the kitchen counter...
"Tu na..bachi ki bachi hi rahegee...kabhi nahi sudhar sakti.."
"Kya karu dadi tuadda laad pyaar na bada hone deta hai aur nahi sudharne deta hai.." Arohi says admiringly looking at dadi...all hints of humour gone from her face...dadi was the one she loved the most in the house...she always reminded her of her DJ...
"Dhatt pagli...acha puttar aaj itni jaldi kaise aa gayi...aur arjun kithe si?Aaj kal toh vaddi bike rides hori hai...wahi chodta hai wahi wapis lata hai...aaj kalli kiun aa gayi tu?"
Arohi started blushing to this...Dadi knew everything about her and she was always so supportive...It was always like talking to a friend with dadi and nothing skipped her watchful eyes...
"Wo kuch nahi daddi...mera kaam jaldi ho gaya...socha mein jaldi ghar aake aapka kaam mein haath bata doon..."
"Arohi puttar...meri madat karni thi ya phir arjun ke liye kuch khaas karna tha...woh kya kehte ho tum log angrejiii mein...haan S---Surrr---Surrrpiggge"
Arohi knew she couldnt get her work done with dadi's constant teasings...so she dragged dadi to her bedroom...made her sit there and rushed to the kitchen to get started on arjuns favorite rajma chawal...He had been so sweet to her that day dropping her to her office and then it became a silent habit...he would drop and pick her up everyday...she loved it...the start and the end to the day was something she looked forward to the most...those few minutes on the bike with him made up for the whole days tensions...she wanted to do something to make him happy and feel special as well...and she couldnt think past the cliche "mard ke dil ka raasta uske pet se hokar jata hai" so here she was cooking!! one of her passions which she seldom had time for now thanks to her demanding professional and personal life...
And finally after a few hours of hard work..arohi was done with the dish and the presentation...she quickly set the table for two since everyone already had eaten not wanting to be kabab mein haddi's in their special evening...though daadi had insisted on giving the "boring souls" company so that the night could be more interesting and have some conversation both arjun and arohi respectfully declined the offer...
Arohi served their plates and sat on the chair beside arjuns...she never understood why heroines sat opposite to the heroes in the movies when they could sit closer together...Crazy unpractical ideas of romance the movies propagated she sighed
They sat down and had a nice quiet evening accompanied by good food and some sweet conversation...When silence becomes comfortable and ordinery things also seem special it is a hint that its love...but arjun and arohi werent there yet...they would take time to realise that...

Next day...

Kyun chilla rahe ho aap mr.singhania? arohi rushed in with a irritated yet caring tone to her dialogue
Meri shirt ke itne saare buttons kaise toot gaye??
Isme itni chillane ki kya baat hai...dadi mujhe bata rahi thi tumhe apne shirt ke buttons sew karne se kitni nafrat hai toh mein tumhari shirt ke saare buttons nikalke unhe taakna seekh rahi thi...fir mujhe yaad aya ke buttons toh wo serial wali bahus tab taakti hai jab husband late ho raha ho aur usne shirt pehean rakhi ho so i was waiting for you to do that...arohi said this with earnest sincerity
Arjun was so taken aback by her answer that he started laughing...this girl wasnt just crazy she was beyond crazy...
The innocence in her smile made up for everything...the craziness in her behaviour brightened up everything...he wasnt sure if there would be love between them or not...but he knew one thing he would love to have her around forever...
