folks do not take a story emotionally

arjun singhania is a fictional character

there is an orphanage next to my school and i and my friends sometime peep down to see the food they serve in afternoons and if i tell the menu i guess majority of us will forget eating not even see it in our eyes

arjun has a much better life than majority of real orphans atleast in terms of basic needs and friends and siblings like romit and rashi

in real life a real orphan will never things that arjun gets because he is a fictional character and i have taken enough liberties while writing story

but i also must think what happens in reality will an illegitemate son just go and tell his father i am your son you abondoned me take me back and give me my rights as your son taht when he is a criminal and gone to jail and his father is very rich and powerful. Majority may not be able to go and tell that.

if that was the case steve job one of the richest man in this world whom any father would be proud to have as his son would not have been given up for adoption and his father not once acknowledged after knowing jobs is his real son as his son. So reality is never rosy as you think it is or want it to be. Many other instances are there but i do not want to quote them really. In that case majority orphans would not remain real orphans if they search all of them can find their real parents in a few years time and majority can sue their parents for abondoning them. But real world is not so easy like serials and TV.

But since this is fictional story i have not made it very very real and kept it may be a bit real and a bit fictional like hindi movies far away from realism of what an orphan goes through in life.

Scene242 Arjun calls Yashodhra Ma first time

Arjun decides: I cannot destroy my family's happy blemish less life for my individual happiness never. I do not want my brother and sister to undergo what I underwent in life. They are very small and innocent will not be able to bear the trauma of the world ridiculing them and asking them questions about their father and brother for which they have no answer.

Yashodhara comes to him: Arjun you here?

There is tornado in Arjun 's mind.

Yashodhara: Arjun Arjun Arjun and shakes his hand

Arjun: Yes and stares at her like he has seen a ghost

Yashodhara: You came to meet me

Arjun: No No not at all I have an urgent work I am leaving turns back to leave

Yashodhara: Ok take care

Yashodhara goes to the kitchen. Arjun is confused, upset. He turns back and runs into kitchen and stands there staring at her. His heart and mind are having a world war. Mind is saying do not tell and heart is saying tell them you are their son.

One maid alerts Yashodhara that Arjun may want to speak to her

Yashodhara: Arjun, what happened? You look upset, want something Arjun Arjun

Arjun in tension: Ma can I have water?

Yashodhara shocked but asks maid to get him water.

Yashodhara: What happened missing your mom?

Arjun: why?

Yashodhara: You just addressed me as Ma

Arjun: Sorry, I meant Ma'am

Yashodhara: That's fine. You can call me aunty since you are Karans and Gunjan's friend

Arjun thinking: I prefer Ma'am because it has Ma twice

Maid gets water and Yashodhara takes it and gives it to him with a smile: Here Arjun

Arjun is too lost and drops the glass on floor as Yashodhara hands it over to him. Yashodhara thinks its her mistake she did not properly wait till he held the glass.

Yashodhara: Sorry Arjun

Scene243 Arjun hurts hand

Arjun does not respond. He is choking badly.

Arjun thinking: Mom, I am your son. And I love you very much. I have never had a mother ever since I became big enough to know what a mother is? But today I know I have a mother my own mother. And that's you mom.

Maid wants to clean the glass piece: Sir, one minute

Arjun has not heard her. He is busy looking at his mother and talking to her in mind

Maid: Sir, one minute Sir

Yashodhara holds his hand: Arjun, come this side. Let her clean

Arjun has not heard just staring at her.

Yashodhara pulls his hand: Arjun come this side

Arjun moves a bit and stands next to his mother. He keeps looking at her. Her smile her words her saree, her jewels, her hair, her clip everything. He wants to memorize them. Till today he had met his mom many times but had never bothered to observe her deeply. But not today. He wanted to memorize her every expression her face her smile. He wanted to touch her, hug her, place his head in her lap and cry and call her Ma or mom. All his life he had dreamed of a mother a real mother and today she was in front of him but he could not call her Ma.

Yashodhara: Arjun, come we will go and sit there.

Yashodhara turns to maid: Rashmi get water at table

The kitchen was huge 20-30 times the size of a kitchen in a normal house.

It had a dinning table and chairs in one end and Yashodhara took Arjun there and made him sit.

Yashodhara saw a 2-3 glass shreds on his pant and shoe

Yashodhara: Arjun, there are few glass pieces on your pant and shoe

Arjun bends down to remove and the glass piece cuts his finger

Arjun finger bleeding: Ouch

Yashodhara pulls his hand and puts his finger in her mouth

Arjun astonished and has wet eyes.

Yashodhara removes his finger and checks his finger

Yashodhara: Is it paining? You kids also are very careless

Yashodhara bends down to remove the glass pieces on his pant and shoe

Arjun holds her hand: Ma'am pleaseee. I will remove them

Yashodhara pulls her hand free: Keep quiet and sit there. "I will remove them" and hurt your hand again. Nowadays kids are the limit. Very careless

Arjun smiles- his mother scolded him like she does to his siblings

Scene244 Arjun's first experience of mother's care

Yashodhara removes the three pieces of glass and goes and throws it in a bin nearby. She gets a first aid box from nearby.

Arjun is all the while looking at her.

Yashodhara sits on the chair.

Yashodhara: Give your hand and takes his hand and wipes cut with antiseptic

Arjun has tears flowing down his eyes.

Yashodhara sees his tears and assumes the antiseptic is burning and blows air on his finger and ties a handy plast around his finger.

Arjun in shock. Are mothers like this only? He cannot believe for a small cut his mother is getting so tensed. Who is he to her? A stranger. Only a person who has helped Gunjan's her daughter once or two times. And his mother is getting so tensed for him. How would she treat him if she knew he was her son her own son? Yes a step son but so what? From what he has seen of Yashodhara he knows she is not the one to differentiate between a step son and own son. In his heart he has given her Rukmini mom's place. Right now when he sees her he is seeing Rukmini mom's reflection in her face.

Arjun wipes his tears and smiles. Atlast he has got a mother his own mother.

Yashodhara: Now its fine. Do not let water fall on it Ok beta

That beta word was enough for Arjun. He felt like his Rukmini mom had called him beta.

He grabbed her hand and kissed it: Thanks Maaa'am Thanks a lot

Yashodhara smiles and holds his hand: You are welcome Arjun. Be careful next time OK

Arjun nods his head: OK Ma'am

Maid gets water. Arjun drinks it all the while looking at his mother.

Arjun thinking: Promise mom, I promise from now on I will be very careful. Not for myself but for you. I will be careful because you have told me to be careful. I will take care of myself because if I get hurt you will feel pain. I know mom you do not know I am your son yet I saw pain and concern in your eyes when I cut my finger. And I cannot see tears or pain in my mother's eyes ever. I promise I will be careful.

Arjun: Ok Bye Ma'am and bends down and touches her feet for blessings and rushes out before his tears start falling and he is unable to control his emotions in front of his mother.
