Our message to the CVs, I say ours because I know I am not alone with these thoughts:
The story so far has been handled well. Few bloopers and butchering here and there but on the whole, its been quite fresh, unique and innovative! The hype for the raaz was gud, suspense n thrill was well built. The stage is perfectly set, even for a leap. But the entry of a 'parallel' lead, which i hope is a typo and really is a cameo, nullifies it all. The leap would have been welcome if the raaz had come out and the story had leaped. Then there would have been some thrill to watching how Arjun handled the truth of his life, how he handled his relationship with Arohi and how they both supported each other through thick and thin. Even if the raaz hadn't come out before the leap, it would have still worked.
But, making Arohi's character selfish enough to burn Arjun's only memories of parents he never knew is butchering her character and is actually quite uncharacteristic for her. I cannot accept any reasonings here such as Arohi's character is meant to be bubbly, chirpy n immature. Its been months since the season started. We have seen her character grow. You can't suddenly jump back to square one!! Characters always keep growing not diminishing!! Her character has seen a rainbow of growth, what with handling Rashi-Jignesh and Raj and handling Gauri!
I can understand she initially wants to keep the secret away from Arjun so she can protect their relationship. But thats supposed to be an initial reaction. If anybody in the whole wide world would understand what a family means and what it is to have memories, it is Arohi. Wasn't she packing her family album just last week?? How can she be shown so selfish and self-centered to decide that Arjun doesn't have to know the truth after all!!?! Even today, she had a chance to save that file, when Arjun told her he would have loved to have a caring and affectionate family too to share with Arohi! Arohi trying to distract Arjun by romancing so that she can keep him from thinking about his past - very immature and it is a bit uncharacteristic too. She can't keep distracting him all his life. She is only trying to avoid a problem that has to be addressed sooner or later. Please, this is outrageous! How can she be insecure about Arjun's love? Arjun has time and again proved his love and trust in his love for Arohi. It's high time Arohi is shown to appreciate and reciprocate that standard of love. Let me jog your memory.
- Arjun trusting her with his life in the jungle.
- Arjun leaving his family and business for her the first time.
- Arjun supporting Arohi when Singhania family doubted her due to Jignesh.
- Arjun taking the initiative and defying RPS and announcing that he wasn't going to risk his life for RPS or his business.
- Most importantly, Arjun's faith in her during Dhondz track. He very specifically told her he wasn't mad at her because she lied, but rather because she didn't trust him enough to tell the truth. Are you telling me she hasn't learned from that experience yet?
- Arjun leaving his family the second time and standing by Arohi while she struggled with her family and their emotional atyachar!
- Arjun accepting her family after all that they had put him through, and addressing her parents, with due respect and letting them know he wanted to postpone the wedding so he can workout his future so he can give security to Arohi!
This track can be saved, if you act quickly. You have resurrected characters before. Now is the time to resurrect that evidence. Let Shefali have burnt the wrong file. Or let RPS have another set of evidence, since he believed in backing up the things that supported his biggest trump card!!
Let Arohi come to her sense. Let her realize, she loves Arjun selflessly enough to tell him everything at the risk of her relationship with him!
Ok what do we want then??
- We don't want leap, We don't want any more dimensions to this love story..
- We want the raaz to be covered fully w/characters with strength and w/o bloopers ..
- Arjun really getting to know where he comes from, his roots..
- Arohi standing by him while he struggles with the ghosts of his past n while he struggles to balance his love for arohi, hate for KSA (manipulated by RPS ofcourse) and carries out what his mum asked in that letter.. but in a the mature way that he has always been shown to have..
- Arjun digging through the story presented to him by everyone and not blindly believing what RPS or anyone else says.
- It seems very uncharacteristic of Arjun to ignore the gift given by RPS, since RPS is his god and he rarely gives Arjun anything. Also, RPS's words when he gave the gift should have invoked enough curiosity in Arjun. But he was rather shown romancing his wife.
- And a special request to hold on to the character of Raj. The child has depicted Arjun's own tragic past. An orphan at the mercy of others who wish to use him for their own selfish motives. He was brought in to bring Arjun Arohi together and now when Arjun Arohi deviate once more due the raaz, Raj needs to be the binding glue.
- We would love to see more of Rashi. She has always been a consistent source of support and strength to Arjun. Her character has more scope. Please use your resources well and stop digging for resources else where when you are already well stocked.
- And please make sure Arjun mentions Gauri's hand in the Rashi's miscarriage incident. She shouldn't be forgotten, especially by Arjun and Arohi. It would be better if the Ahluwalias pay Rashi a visit and apologize.
- Would like to have Amrit do more than pray to her gods and repeatedly insist like a broken record that Arjun Arohi can't be together. And it is even more bizarre to see her change tack at the speed of light and decide to keep her mouth shut for the sake of Arjun Arohi. Let her blurt out to Arohi that she knows exactly who Arjun is. Arohi desperately needs the guidance of an elder, more specifically her mother. Let Amrit realize that daughters not only sacrifice for their family, they also show the strength to be the shield for their relationships. Women have, are and will be the most efficient multi-taskers as a daughter, as a wife and as a mom.
- We also would like you to take note that we completely disagree with the divorce. Arohi Arjun haven't set foot in a court house ever. Please don't take the viewers for a ride here. Divorce proceedings take time and require for both to have signed. We were never shown that Arohi had signed those papers, leave alone passing them on to her family. And will someone care to explain what kind of a lawyer is Sudhir Ahluwalia? He must be an amazing genius and a highly multitasking lawyer to take up cases of all kinds. And even if he is the most intelligent person in all of land, he cannot get his daughter divorced without her consent. You have very grandly stated that Arohi is 22. She is fully entitled to marry anyone of her choice and to stay marry to that person. So please address this.
We as fans and viewers fail to understand the reason behind this decision. New characters or story plot is introduced when the current one stagnates. Are you telling me, you don't see a way out of the maze of secrets you have created? Please don't overload the story when it is perfectly fine. It is deemed more successful for a show and a story, if you take up a track, simple it may be, but you address the core points, define the characters well and in depth and stick to them and see the story through. You don't have to keep making complications to make it successful. Too many cooks spoil the broth and too many plots spoil the show. Please don't ruin our favorite show! Please preserve the essence of Kitani Mohabbat Hai. KMH, Save thy soul!!
