15/11 Ria Ka Adda: How to Define Love..? - Page 8

I am here to write the first and may be the last long post in this thread. During the first season, I wrote only a handful of long posts and rest were utter crap one liners or utter crap poems. Last time, I had joined KMH forum when the show was at its peak and Arjun Punj was the craze and had started watching the show because a friend insisted that I should watch it and join the discussion at the forum. One day, I clicked on Ria's thread because another friend had posted there. Ria's posts used to be like the performance of an Odissi dancer -- classy, graceful and divine. She was in complete love with the show and Arjun Punj. My first post in her thread conveyed my disappointment with the episode -- not sure if I called the episode utter crap or not. If Ria's posts were songs of praise, mine began and ended in utter crap. Did Ria kick me out or send a PM saying, "An, can you please stop posting in my thread because you do not have a good word to say about the episodes that I so much love." It never happened -- she gave space to my views in her thread without ever complaining.

One Sunday, Anu, Lata and I were yapping in Ria's thread and the next day, Ria's thread became Ria ka Adda (RKA). It became our adda where we talked about the episode, characters, story-lines as well as enjoyed each others company. Over the next five months, the thread evolved and many new posters started posting while some of the old ones disappeared without any trace. I doubt if Lata remembers about Adda or me. The views on the episodes always varied but were respected by everyone.

The phenomena called RKA did not happen in one day but it happened gradually. It was a highly popular thread because of the addains and their posts. The show acted as a catalyst that triggered creative and philosophical reactions. Posters were the real stars but when the show ended, we all dispersed. I may call the show Utter Crap but it was a glue that held us together for months.

Today the show is back and so is RKA in the forum. It'll take time for it to get its shape and it will be painted in a new color and not the old. There will be new posters contributing and prolific posters of the last adda may not return. And, the number of posters posting regularly will depend on the quality of the show and its popularity because it's still the glue.

Why am I writing this post: To tell that RKA will be here in this forum as long as KMH is interesting if not magical. The moment the show takes an upward ride, new posters will start posting their brilliant analysis.

P.S: I may not post on the episode because Ekta and her large family shows scare me and I maintain my respectful distance. Even the lure of chavvanis cannot make me watch utter crap again.
