EGO

Yesterday,Kabir's ego gets affected when ARM hands him a 100 bucks bill as a tip without delivering any service. While ARM's ego gets affected when Kabir, a mere server boy, offers to pay for his phonecall.

Today, Kabir's ego gets affected again when that doorman at a 5 star restaurant denies him entry because it wouldn't "fit his bill" whereas ARM's ego gets affected when the girl for whom he took to the fight challenge and to whom he intended to spend the rest of his life with, rejects him straight out for being from some "god forsaken land" of slaves.
Both men, even though in totally different circumstances, faced "Rejection" which irked their ego to a larger extent.

Ego is what urges them both to strive for something bigger and better in life. Ego is what will make Kabir emerge from being nothing to being someone with name, fame and wealth. Ego is what will make ARM emerge from just an apparent heir to being THE Merchant man he always hoped to be.

BUT, Ego is also something that will create the lifelong tiff between the two men. Ego will be something that would stand in between them till the very end.

Yeah jaya pride was overshadowing ego then. But today was definitely ego.
and you know what, ego isn't always the bad guy. It's just when ego takes precedence over everything and anything, that it becomes the bad thing.

btw don't pride and ego go hand in had? but when ego takes precedence, that same pride becomes arrogance, doesn't it?

Oh oh oh this shall be interesting to see how pride and ego of these two men comes to be pride bordering on arrogance and more ego in the coming episodes!

Ramy: Cool Post and a neat observation. But, I kind of agree with Jaya, and think that it was the pride in play than ego.

I agree Jaya, the pace is definitely a bit hurried. May be because they want to sweep through the early years so that they have more time for the latter years to the grown up ARM and Kabir's story just as in Kane and Abel.

i think that is what real man of substance is about never to face defeat and to rise above the storms is what being a real man is about i apreciated KMK today my Kabbi poo was cute awesome and was about to give that guard some real dhulai 🤣if his friend wasn't around so sweet na?
