Chapter One

-Yamini, the daughter

It was a stormy night; it was raining heavily. A cars' tires screeched loudly stopping by a tree, splashing a huge amount of muddy-water at a girl standing beneath the tree. She covered her face with her hands, preventing herself from the dirty water. The man came out of the car and noticed the girl. He noticed her drenched bridal (indian) gown, which seemed very heavy. He then moved his eyes to her blocked face. She still seemed to be covering her face with her hands. "Uhh, suniye." the man said, walking towards her. She stepped back, trying to avoid any eye-contact. Her cell phone vibrated in her hand, leading her to drop the phone in the mud. Oh, no! she thought looking at the recipients name appear and disappear on the cell. She bended and picked up the phone. "Aap mera phone use kar sakti hain.." the man offered. She finally glazed at him and noticed him looking back with a serene look on his face. She slightly nodded sideways. "dekhiye, aapka phone to gaya kaam se. Please.." he offered and reached out his hand which held the phone. She silently took the phone from his hand as they reached up to the sky. She dialed the number and uttered "Hello?" after the first ring. "Where are you?" a man asked over the phone. While she talked over the phone, the man glazed at her deeply. He noticed her eyes move here and there in search of something; she seemed so scared. He noticed her lips slowly utter words over the phone; ignoring whatsoever she was saying; lokking at her slow and crooked movements, she stepped forward, then backwards, then sideways. He couldn't dare to look away! "Excuse-me.." she kept saying for him to take his phone back. But he was lost in thoughts, not listening to anyone or anything around. Another cars' tires screeched in front of the two. After a moment he broke out of his thoughts, staring into the blank streets; it was still pouring heavily. The girl had pulled out his hand and lightly put back his cell. He glanced at his phone which read, Thank You. He smiled and knew what had happened. "Heer" he read as he scrolled down.

"Heer, this is crazy! You could've told me about this. We never wanted you to be married under pressure and to anyone you don't love. But luckily the groom didn't show up either." Lakshya said. "I'm sorry, bhaiyaa. I just wasn't ready.." she replied. "It's alright; at least you're safe." he said, soon taking her face in his hands and lightly kissing her forehead and giving her a warm hug. "Well, go get freshened up, and we'll go for dinner." he said. "But ..what about the wedding arrangements and all?" she was worried. "It's all taken care of," he chuckles. She smiled sweetly in response. "Is it okay if I call my friend over?" she suddenly asked just as he was ought to walk out the room. "Sure," he said, and left with a smile.

"Hi, KT!" she said out loud, walking towards her. Lakshya turned the other way and widened his eyes. KT? here? This is not good. I have to get out of her sight.. immideatly! he thought. He keenly walked away from the table and stood behind a pillar, gasping. "Arre, my brother was right here.. where'd he go?" Heer laughed. "It's okay Heer, no problem, he'll probably come back." KT replied. They both sat at the table and began to chat. "So, who's this cute little thing?" Heer smiled. They both looked towards the baby in KT's lap. "Yamini. She's... my, daughter!" KT said. Heer looked at her surprizingly. Lakshya widened his eyes even more after he heard such. He wasn't too far away from their table, he could easily listen to their comversation. He soon peeked at the little girl, cooing in her lap and playing with her necklace. He brought his face back to behind the pillar and listened further. "So, anyways.. what's your brothers name?" KT ignored the topic. "Lakshya." Heer replied. KT suddenly frowned and made an excuse to leave. "But, KT.." Heer was about to speak when she walked away. Lakshya watched her leave and wished for her not to turn and look back, fearing her eyes might look upon him. He thought it was now safe of him to come out, but Heer had also left by then. He sighed with relief.

"I'm coming.. I'm coming." Prem said running towards the door, after hearing the doorbell ring. He found a dejected Lakshya, dripping wet. "Hi.." Lakshya uttered, miserably. "My god, what happened? Come in, dude." Prem said, opening the door further. The two seated on the couch in his appartment. "I saw KT today, and she wasn't alone.. She was with, her daughter!" Lakshya spoke with great difficulty. "What? Wha-wha.. Wha- I mean.. wha-?" Prem was confused. Lakshya nodded.

"What is all this KT? Why is your house filled with my brother's photographs?" Heer asked, looking around KT's house, everywhere she would spot Lakshya's picture on the wall. "He's a very important part of my life, Heer. I left this house two years ago, when he died." KT said. Heer is traumatized.

The Concept & Story has changed a bit.. well actually completely, so will make a new title song (maybe, maybe)
for the FanFic ..and pg.1 will soon be edited with the new C&S in time being.
