Prem and Heer- Confusion?

Hey guys, I just started watching KDMHMD and I am absolutely in love with it. I think Prem and Heer make a fabulous jodi. There is just something that I am confused about...I started watching the serial from the dramatic mother-son scene between Prem and his mom so I don't really know the whole story. If Heer's dad and Prem's dad promised to get the two married then why is Lalit getting Prem and Ash married? Don't Prem and Heer know that they were meant to get married ever since they were young?

Someone please give me the ansers to these questions. Thanks!

well actually Heer's parents died and Daljeet told Heer that Lalit and his family do not want to get Prem married to Heer and told Lalit's family that Heer and Meher died with their parents.. and this heer are orphans, thats why she calls Meher rano, just to indicate that even though her name is Heer they r not Lalit's friend's kids..

and she is basically trying to get her own daughter married to Prem..
This woman is evil, I think the worst we have seen on TV yet... she tortures Meher, lies to Heer and everybody else, and her daughter ash is no better...

Ohhh...that clears everything up. Thanks so much! I totally agree with you...Daljit is probably the worst character ever seen on television. I absolutely hate it when she tortures Meher...I feel so sorry for that poor girl. I'm looking forward to when Heer and Meher both give Daljit a piece of their mind. 😡
