Chapter 6
Prem led Heer to the Telons specialized shuttle plane. They took seats next to each other into the shuttle plane. Soon they pilot started the plan in anti dimensional mode.
Anti dimensional flying as its name suggested defy dimensional pulls of earth easily and therefore can travel long distance within short period.
"So, Ms. Maan, I am thinking that, as we will meet with each other regularly, we should know more about each other." Prem told Heer in a curious voice.
Heer recognized that, Prem wanted to know something about her also. Heer thought about how much she could tell Prem. After few seconds, she decided to respond.
"An excellent idea Major Juneja. We will become some sort of working partner in future. Therefore, we should definitely know something about each other. Ask what you want to know about me." Heer told Prem.
"I don't want to know anything specific, just tell me in brief your life history. Prem told Heer.
"I born and raised in NY City. My parents migrated to USA from India before few years ahead of my birth. My father was a real estate developer and soon because of his hard work, Maan industry expanded so much, after that my father started to invest in other business also.
Because of that Maan industry today have business in almost every sector. My mother on the other hand was a homemaker.
She was pillar of strength for my father but after few years of my birth, she suddenly died due to an disease. My father never remarried in his life. He died three years ago, I inherit his business empire, and I tried to expand it further.
Mr. Jonathan Doore is a close friend of my father and he is like a uncle to me. After the death of my father, he played the role as my mentor. The Telons-human joint technological project is an unique project and honestly it has many potential for improving the life of humans. Therefore, I got interested in this project. Now you can see I am the co-director of this human-Telons project." Heer told Prem. She also praised Jonathan Doore in her statement because Mr. Doore was the one of the founders of resistance movement. Heer wanted to give positive impression about Mr.Doore to Prem.
Heer also told Prem those things about her life, which was more or less known by everybody. As a famous businessperson, she had a very public life.
Heer was hoping that by telling Prem more about her life she would be able to create psychological pressure on Prem to say more about his own life.
Heer recognized that, Prem's life was full of mysteries and Heer was feeling very curious to know more about him.
Prem knew he had to tell her more about his life now. Prem memories everything he knew about original Prem Juneja. He decided what he could tell Heer about Prem's life and where he could do little improvisation about Prem Juneja life history.
"Ok, it seems like it is now my turn to tell you about myself. I have born in NY, in 1980. Yes, I am a fellow New Yorker to you. My parents you know came to this country due to their backward-minded Indian relatives and after few years of their arrival I born here. Both of my parents were upper middle class professional and they were very much keen in assimilating in American mainstream. They never attended any Indian-American only functions, as they believed they were just American.
In my childhood years, I did not have any Indian close friends. Most of my friends were white and few friends of mine were black.
From my childhood, I felt deep love for this country and its people. My favorite President is JFK even though he was dead before I was born.
When I was 20, I joined into US army. It was a great experience for me. People from all walks of American life joined there. In the battle field we were only American, not white, black,latino,asian,or mixed. As you can guess after 9/11 in 2003 in Afghanistan war almost my entire fellow us army man were killed in battle against terrorist. Only Lt. Colonel William Boon and I survived and me that attack.
Lt. Colonel Boon was like a mentor to me. His recommendations helped me in my professional life. I soon got the rank of captain and after four years, I promoted as Major.
In 2007, I joined into a secret govt. project, which obviously I cannot tell anyone about it. Now in 2011 I joined as Telons protector.
My favorite sport is baseball, I am a fan of New York Yankees, and I hate Boston red sox by default. I also have some investment in New York stock market." Prem told Heer. He was sure that he did not give her any critical information to her.
Nevertheless, at the same time he gave her much information about his life to think about it. He told her how he did not have any Indian friends in childhood. He also informed her how Lt. Colonel Boon had a big influence in his professional life and how much he meant to him. He told her how he was engaged in govt. project for four years, but he assumed Heer already know that.
He also told her about his fav. sport and fav. President in order to normalize his life. He also tried to bait Heer into an argument by calling his Indian relatives as backward.
Nevertheless, he did not get a chance to see Heer's reaction as the pilot of the plane had informed them that, they had finally reached in their destination.
FBI HQ was their destination. Prem swiftly went to the office of Evan Crichton, the senior FBI agent who was in the charge of the investigation of Elannax.
"Hello! Mr. Evans, I am Major Prem Juneja of US army of 2000 batch, I am currently posted as Telons protector and She is Ms. Heer Maan the coordinator of human-Telons joint project, she has expertise in alien technology." Prem introduced them to Evan.
Heer observed that, how much emphasis Prem had given to the words expert in alien technology. Yes, as a coordinator of human-Telons project, she had some basic knowledge and idea about some Telons technology. However, she was not a scientist and Telons often did not share main theory behind their various projects. In addition, of that, she had zero knowledge about other alien race such as Daaharian.
She also observed that, Prem portrayed him as the leader between two of them. She could understand why he had done that, Telons protector had official status from USA government and US army major was a highly respectable rank. Therefore, FBI, which was an organization of USA federal government, would definitely give more importance to Prem. Besides that, FBI was investigating a case, which was related to attack on Telons, therefore as a Telons protector Prem obviously got attention.
However, a small part of Heer was still little sore about it. She was a born leader and a small part of her thought that, the FBI official would feel more comfortable with Prem than she would, as Prem was male and had a lighter skin tone than her.
Heer also suspect that, Prem had given emphasis to the words major of US army to play patriot card and get a fellow feelings. Many FBI officials were army veterans themselves and therefore Prem could get fellow feelings from them.
"I always felt great when I see an army veteran. I am retired US army major myself. I think you come here to know the progress of the investigation of Telons case." Evan told Prem.
"Yes, Major Crichton, both of us want to know the progress of your investigation "Prem politely told Evan
"Follow me." Evan instructed them.
"You see Major Juneja when we recovered this Elanax; we are surprised by this device mechanism. You see Major Juneja and Ms.Maan it is not only a killing device but also it is also a communication device, which has ability to communicate many places at the same time with different massage. "Evan told them.
Both Prem and Heer got surprised after hearing that. It seemed like Daarahians had developed a very sophisticated device.
"I guess it is sending and receiving signals from other Elannax." Prem commented.
"You are right in your assumption Major, it is working both ways. It is sending and receiving the signal from other Elannax. The communication hardware in this device is installed in this device in a very skillful manner. It is sending/reciving signals from distant space also" Evan remarked.
"Are you recording those incoming and outgoing signals?" Heer asked Evan.
"Yes, fortunately our scientist has been able to develop a system to record those signals. You can see those signals in computer screen. Nevertheless, we are not able to decode those signals. The symbols and alphabet in those signals are unknown to us. Even our Telons advisor failed to decode the signals. "Evan told Heer.
"I did not know FBI has something like Telons advisor." Heer commented.
"Telons advisor worked here independently and he is not answerable to North American Telons companion. He is only answerable to the leader of Telons synod. Every individual Telons has a wide depth of knowledge due to their long life experiences. A Telons advisor to FBI is a very a knowledgeable person and has several skills. Therefore, we feel confident to hire him." Evan told Heer in a slightly irritated voice as he detected mocking tone in Heer's question.
"Can we please see them Major? It will be very helpful for us." Prem requested Evan.
"Sure, here you go." Evan opened the laptop and presented the audio file and its audio transcript in an ms word file.
Both of them heard and looked at those files. Unfortunately, Heer did not able to understand a single thing; the whole thing looked too alien to her.
Before seeing those files, Prem was hoping that, he would be able to decode those signals as his unique part alien lineage gave him the capability to understand languages of various alien races.
Within few seconds of hearing the audio file, Prem recognized that signals were sent in Darrahian language. Prem got shocked when he was mid way in hearing the audio file.
However, Prem soon hide his shocked expression, as he would not able to explain about how he could understand these signals easily.
After the end of audio tape Prem felt desperation, therefore he looked at ms word file also. The ms word file was also telling him the same thing.
Prem suddenly looked at his watch and then he realized that, he had a very small window of time to act on incoming threat.
