As promised, here is the second chapter. I wont be able to update for sometime. So, bear with me. Do let me know what you feel about this update.

Chapter-2
Prem hurting her was the prevalent thought in Heer's mind. She answered the phone and spoke in a cold voice, "Hello, Prem."
Not sure if Prem realized or not what she was feeling, Heer heard him say, "Hi, Heer. How are you?" When she replied that she was fine, Prem asked her, "So, what's with this senty message? What happened?"
"You meet me once and I will tell you", said determined Heer. She had decided to give him back the one gift he had given to her on her birthday. She didn't want to keep anything that he gave to her. Somewhere, in these two weeks, she felt that Prem didn't want her in his life, even as a friend, what else could be his reason to ignore her. Before they use to talk everyday, in fact each day they talked for at least five times. She was not sure what changed. But she knew that the way Prem behaved had severed their friendship.
"Heer, I can't but you tell me what's wrong? In fact why did you write in the message that I should meet you only once and then keep on ignoring you," asked Prem.
"Because it's the truth, Prem. You were ignoring me. Why didn't you pick my calls, you didn't even reply to my messages. What you wanted me to think?," said Heer.
"It is not that. I was busy. Chal, chod isse. I wanted to share good news with you," said Prem happily.
"Hmmm. Bolo, " said Heer.
"Heer, I am engaged," replied Prem enthusiastically.
Heer was shocked that was an understatement. Two weeks before he didn't mention anything about his engagement, in fact she didn't even know that he even met anyone with marrying intention. They broke up just one month ago, and now he was engaged! It didn't take him much time to move on. Didn't she mean anything to him? This explains why he was ignoring her, thought Heer.
"Hello...hello, Heer? Are you there?," asked Prem, and Heer realized that he was still on the call. "Ya, I am. Congrats, Prem," said Heer, trying to be cheerful for his sake. She didn't know what she was feeling about this move of his, but her body had become stiff.
"When did you get engaged, Prem? Two weeks before, there were no talks about marriage and now you are engaged. I don't understand," said Heer. As her brain starting registering that Prem was engaged, her voice started going low.
Prem replied, "I got engaged last week, Heer. I haven't told any of my friends but you. My parents wanted me to meet the girl, after I met her, they asked how she was. I told them ok and next I know the date of my engagement was set for the upcoming week. I told them I needed time to know her and they said that I have one week to know her. So, this is how it happened."
"Hmmm. Good, Prem. Now, I understand why you were busy," said Heer almost sobbing. With difficulty she controlled her tears, not wanting him to know how much this news was affecting her.
"Ya, I didn't even notice your calls," said Prem and then he noticed the change in her voice. How could he not, he did care about her, no matter what she thought. Her crying, her feeling low, always made him uncomfortable. He was always concerned, and never wanted her to be sad. But he couldn't understand why she was sad now. They were friends, so she should be happy, the way he would be when she gets married. Is it possible that this news was affecting her negatively?, thought Prem. " Heer, are you happy?," asked he.
"Ya, Prem. I am happy for you. Listen, I have to go now, I have some work...we will talk later," said Heer, not able to bear it anymore. She wanted sometime alone, far away from him. Tears were flowing down her eyes now, and she didn't want Prem to know that. But, oviously, he came to know.
"But Heer...are you crying?," Prem said feeling uneasy. He felt she was not feeling right.
"No, Prem. I am not. Now, I have to go. I will talk to you later. Bye," said Heer.
"Heer, listen...," Heer didn't let Prem finish and she cancelled the call. She can't believe what just happened. Prem was engaged, and he was telling now after being engaged for one week. If he gave her this news two weeks before, she would not have to lie to him that she was happy.
These two weeks made her realize that she did like him more than a friend. These two weeks made her realize that she felt strongly for him. And, now after two weeks everything has changed. Nothing could go back to the way it was before. She would never feel those moments again with him. Everything was lost. She had lost him forever.
Prem would not understand why she was feeling low. Because in these two weeks, being away from him, she realized what a grave mistake she made by breaking up with him.

Also, I want to know what you all feel about these characters - Prem and Heer. Whom do you was wrong and Why? Was Prem wrong in not telling Heer about his engagement or Heer who broke with him? Tell me, what exactly feel about them. This will only help me in writing a better story.
