Part 6

Prem and Kulraj sat outside of his farmhouse on the stairs. He was lying and staring at the sky whilst Kulraj kept blabbering on and on without knowing that he wasn't even listening to her. He just couldn't get Heer's sweet smiley face out of his mind. Then suddenly he started giggling by himself which made her stop and look at him.

"Prem I've been talking to you about the problems with my parents and you're laughing about it?" she was outraged.

He looked towards her cross face and realized what he did and sat up. "I'm sorry Kulraj but I wasn't even listening to you."

"What?" her mouth was half open and then she turned away from him. "agar aisa hee raha na Prem to mujhe lagta hai ke tum mujhe bhool hee jaaoge."

He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer to him. "Wo din kabhi nahi aaehga. You know what I've got the perfect idea to keep you closer to me. Tum meri bhabhi banjao phir to ham saath saath hee rahenge." He laughed as he knew how much she hated it when he teased her about Kiran. She smacked him away and just stayed cross with him. "Okay, okay I'm sorry. Ab mujhe batao ke tum kya baat karahee thi."

"Koi zaroorat nahi hai sunne kee." She made a face at him. "Now tell me what is going on between you and Heer? Apnee shakal dekhee hai, bethe bethe aise muskuraarahe ho jese ke sach much me paagal hee ho." She gave a worried look, "I'm telling you Prem before Kiran finds out what you're really up to here, sambhal jao."

He pulled her closer to him again, "ha to oske liye tum ho na. You always save me so I don't really have to worry." Then he stared into space again, "or wese bhi aaj kal to mujhe khud ka hosh hee nahi rehta."

She shook her head as he was impossible, "I know. Nowadays you're only in one trance and that is of Heer." She blew air out and sighed as her friend had really become a gone case now. She just hoped he didn't end up with a broken heart.

What she said was true and it made Prem blush and he smiled. He had been in a constant fight with his conscience that he wasn't going to go any deeper with Heer and it was just to satisfy his challenge but his heart knew that there certainly was something deeper than that. Then something clicked in his head as he thought about Heer and he fished in his pocket for something and took out a Samsung Tocco light pink mobile.

When Kulraj saw it she was surprised as she never remembered him having that phone. "When did you change your mobile and that too in pink? A girl's mobile?" she was finding it confusing.

He stopped clicking the buttons and looked up at her. "My dear this is a girl's phone. Now I'm sure you do know who it does belong to." He rolled his tongue in his cheek and gave a sly smile.

She understood alright, "To baat yaha tak pohoch gayee hai ke ab tum dono gifts exchange karne lage."

He laughed, "It hasn't started yet but I'm sure in a few days it shall." Then he stared into the mobile again, "just wait and see what I do." then he began typing a message in it and he sent a SMS.

"I THINK YOU HAVE SOMETHING OF MINE"

Heer and her group were at Neha's house and were sitting outside on the swing. They were just passing time when Heer jerked up with the sudden noise of a ringtone. At first she didn't recognize it and all of them began searching for their phones to see which one was ringing. Then Heer fished it out of her purse and looked at it in horror as it was not her phone. It was someone else's and she looked at it as if it was an unidentified object. She saw there was a message and she checked it out with curiosity as to what was going on. "Hey guys check this out."

All four of them crowded around the phone and read the message. They also were curious as to who sent it and how did this phone get here. "I tell you to just leave it. Pata nahi koun paagal hoga." Soni didn't want Heer to get in any trouble.

Sweety dismissed it as she always found mysterious things exciting. "Are nahi yaar I say you reply back and find out who it is. It'll be fun."

Heer thought a lot and then decided that it won't really hurt to reply back so she sent a SMS back.

"WAT SUMTHING WUD DAT BE? WHO ARE YOU?"

When the phone in Prem's hand beeped he smiled and after looking at the message he gave a wide grin. "What did I tell you ke aisa hee koi jawaab aaehga." He showed the message to Kulraj and she just shook her head with disbelief. He replied back.

"THERE'S A LIST. TO MAKE IT SHORT, YOU'VE MY HEART. BUT AT PRESENT YOU'VE MY PHONE. DEEWANA HU AAPKA."

After she received the message she was sure that it was a mad stalker. "Lagta hai kisee pagal ke saath phones exchange hogaye hai."

Neha teased her, "tere peeche to sirf ek hee paagal hai." They all laughed as they knew it was Prem and no one else. This was getting more interesting.

"I say you also send him something hatke." Sweety pushed her further. "kuch masale daal likh or phir dekhte hai ke kya hota hai."

This was going far but Heer enjoyed the attention so thought of pursuing it further. She replied back.

"HAMARA DIL AAPKE PAAS HAI, AAPKA DIL HAMARE PAAS HAI. TO PHIR YEH PHONE KYA CHEEZ HAI? DEEWANE TO HUM BHI HAI"

After receiving the message Prem nearly lost balance and slipped off the steps he was sitting on. Kulraj quickly grabbed him to steady him. "My God Prem what are you doing?"

He showed her the message, "I must say she is easy than I thought."

However Kulraj wasn't too sure about it, "I don't know Prem kahi wo tumhe phirse uloo na bana rahee ho."

"Are oske liye uloo to kya me to bandar tak banne ko tayaar hu." He muttered under his breath and Kulraj asked him if he said something but he curtly said no. "Just see what I do now." He wrote another SMS.

"DIL KO DIL SE TAKRAANA HAI. MULAQAAT KA ACHA BAHANA HAI. IS NACHEEZ KE SAATH DO PAL GUZZARYE. AAKHIR DIL KA YAHI THIKAANA HAI."

The group of girls laughed as this was getting spicier by the minute. "To yeh janab shayaree bhi karte hai." Heer smiled as she read the message over and over again. There was this magic in his words which just were spellbinding.

"bohat hee chaalu lagta hai yeh to." Sweety read the message and found it more exciting. "Heer I think you should answer him back in a way ke wo bhi yaad rakhega. Yeh khel osne shuru kiya hai ab tujhe khatam karna hoga."

Heer smiled and thought of the perfect answer. She was going to enjoy this. She wrote,

"AAPKE DIL NE, MERE DIL KO AAWAAZ DI. PHIR AAKE HALKE SE, DARWAAZE PE DASTAK DEE. MERA DIL AAPKE DIL KE SAATH JUR GAYA. DIL CHURAANE KA ACHA BAHANA MILGAYA."

When Prem received this message he was completely blown away as this girl was incredible. She was answering him back in his fashion which highly intrigued him. He wrote back,

"SO HOW ABOUT COFFEE IN THE EVENING?"

"Oh my God yeh to coffee peene kee baat karaha hai?" Soni was outraged and strictly wanted Heer to ignore it. But the others were too keen for her to continue especially Sweety. She convinced Heer to say yes.

"HOW CAN I REFUSE SUCH A SWEETHEART?"

Soni was not happy and the other two laughed about it. Heer also laughed but deep inside she felt something. It was kind of happiness that she was going to meet him again as no matter how much she tried to brush it off as a joke she knew her heart told her there was something much more.

Like Soni, Kulraj was also doubtful and she didn't like the way things were going. "I'm telling you Prem that she is just winding you up."

"If that is the case then let it be." He gave a mischievous grin, agar yeh khel hai to iska khiladi me hu." He lied back on the steps, "anyways I began this and I'll be the one to end it." He was too confident but Kulraj wasn't as she knew Prem and right now what was going on in his head was also visible.

They had made the plan to meet at the club at five o' clock. Heer wanted to go alone but her friends insisted that they would come along as Prem couldn't be trusted. They didn't even know him properly so it wasn't safe. The wait was too much for Prem as he kept checking the clock and still it wasn't five o' clock. It was as if his heart was very restless and he needed someone to calm him down.

Finally it was five and the group of girls was already at the club eagerly waiting for Prem to turn up. All of them seemed excited especially Heer as she enjoyed his company. By now she had figured that he certainly was insane but not out of his mind. Only insane about her and that made her feel really good.

"Hey hey look Heer Mr. Romeo has just arrived." Neha pointed towards the other side of the caf where Prem had just entered. All of them stared at him and just giggled amongst themselves. "Haiii aisa chalraha hai jese ke ose kuch or dikhai hee nahi deta." She teased Heer and Sweety joined in too. Soni still thought it was the wrong idea but Neha shunned her saying it was fun.

Prem noticed them and he couldn't help but stare at Heer as her captivating smile had him arrested in her custody and he couldn't see anything else. His feet were automatically walking towards her without any sense of where he was going.

When Heer realized his state she thought of a mischievous idea and whispered it to the other three. Then they all gave each other high fives and waited for the fun to begin. They saw him walking across the bridge towards them and when she found him standing in the right position, her acting began. She gave him the sweetest sexy smile and a cool wave. "Hi Preeemmm" she exaggerated on purpose to make him overwhelmed.

He sure was as he didn't expect this welcome from her and what followed surprised him even further as she threw a flying kiss towards him. This was unbelievable. His trance continued as he was completely under her spell now and just as he made the next step suddenly a big 'SPLASH' occurred. Things went blur for a few seconds and by the time he came to his senses he realized he had ended up in the pool and now was standing waist high into the water. This was embarrassing.

However it had created great entertainment for the girls. All of them burst out laughing at his poor state and then got up to go near him by the pool side. They all took their chances to tease Prem and then finally Heer bent down and laughed. "So Mr. Prem aapkee coffee kesee rahee?" she continued to laugh at him and ran away with the other three.

Prem just sighed and lied back as Heer had completely won over his heart. "Oh God I really love her."
