Meher concern for Preet and their interaction is amazing.

So I got really inspired by a new song...and from a Ekta movie no less 😆 I just love this song...it's one of my favorite romantic songs right now.

Anyways enough of my talking and to the special update.

I've been really busy with work so thank you all for baring with me and adjusting to all my irregular and sometimes long time in between updates.

Please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors.

Chapter 88: Ishq Suifyana - Part A

Prem packed his books into his book bag and waited for Heer to finish putting her things away. "What's your schedule like for the rest of the day?" he inquired.

"I'm free for another two hours. Then I have a group meeting. What about you?" Heer asked.

"I don't go to work until six tonight," Prem replied and then gave a tired yawn.

"Maybe you should go take a nap," Heer suggested. "We're clearing out the townhouse this weekend getting it ready for the new tenants. Better make use of it while you still can."

Prem gave a gentle grin. "Yeah, I agree with that idea. Let's go?" Heer nodded and turned around leading the way out of the seating aisle.

Sanjana gave a nudging look towards Kunal reminding him that he needed to say something quick before they left campus. He nodded nervously and cleared his throat, "Hey Prem."

"What's up?" he replied with a smile.

"Um," walking closer, "I need to talk to you for a few minutes."

"Okay," Prem said and looked at him wondering when he was going to start talking.

Kunal looked around him and saw there were still some classmates in the auditorium and they were only a few feet away. They would be able to hear their conversation if they really wanted to. "How about outside?" he suggested.

Prem nodded and followed him outside to the courtyard to a large oak tree. "So..."

"So..." Kunal repeated.

"I thought you had something you wanted to talk about?" Prem probed gesturing his hand in an effort to make him hurry up and speak. "Heer only has two hours."

"Oh yes, right-right," Kunal agreed. He took a deep breath and then said, "SanjanaandIaredating. Pleasedon'tgetmad."

"What?" Prem asked raising his eyebrows. He couldn't understand a single word he had said.

"I know you're upset. I'm so sorry. I can understand if you don't want to be friends. I must have broken some friendship rule. Wait, that rule is if you're making moves on a girl you know your friend likes?" Kunal rambled scratching his head.

"What are you talking about?" Prem inquired looking at him with great confusion on his face.

"What?"

"Why would I get upset with you?" Prem replied.

"You're not upset? Phew, I thought you would be really mad at me," Kunal said in relief.

"Why would I be upset? I don't even know what you're talking about? You were saying everything so fast and mumbling I have no clue what you just said to me," Prem clarified.

"Oh."

"Well?" Prem asked again.

"I am dating Sanjana," Kunal slowly stated.

"What?!" Prem exclaimed.

"I knew it you were going to be upset about this. It's okay. I understand if you don't want to be friends anymore. Or do you think we could still hang out but I just don't talk about her and she's not allowed to talk to me when I'm out with you. Just you, me, and Heer can hang out together...no double dates or anything like that. It's cool man. I'm sure she would be fine with it. You don't have to deal with her at all," Kunal replied. Prem stared at his friend and furrowed his eyebrows. "No? Not a good idea?"

Prem sighed and gave a thoughtful look. "You shouldn't have to do something like that. You're my friend and if you like her then you should be able to date her freely. I'm just a little surprised. I mean...when did this all happen?"

"Over the summer," Kunal replied. "To tell you truth I'm not so sure how it happened. It just sort of did. We were talking through e-mail and Skyped on the weekends if we had time. When she came back and school began I just asked her out. You're not upset are you? Like how are we going to do this? I mean we both know how you feel about her."

"If she is genuine and true to you then I can't say anything. If you are really happy with her then congratulations. You don't have to hide her from me or go out of your way to avoid me. What's happened has happened. It's probably time to move on," Prem said. "My relationship with her will never be the same. But I guess I can move forward...just one step at a time."

"Thanks man," Kunal smiled.

"All the best," Prem said patting him on the back.

*****************************************************

Heer giggled as she struggled to put the key into the top lock of the door to the townhouse. Her husband was hugging her from behind giving his upmost concentration in nuzzling and kissing her neck. "I can't unlock the door," she pouted. "Give me one minute and then you can go back."

"We haven't had one minute to ourselves this whole week," Prem mumble against her ear.

"What if Meher is in the townhouse? I'm not the only one who has a key," Heer reasoned as she tried prying his face away from her neckline. "Jaanu, I don't want you to get all worked up and get disappointed. You get so pouty and whiny."

"I do not," Prem whined making her laugh.

Heer managed to unlock the door despite her husband's lusty antics. She pushed him back as she walked into the house. "Prem..." she warned. "Meher?" calling out her sister's name. "Hello anyone here?" She looked at him and commanded, "Go check upstairs." She then walked around the first floor calling her sister's name making sure she wasn't there. Satisfied that no one was there she made her way up the stairs. She nearly ran into Prem as he came barreling out of Meher's old room.

Her husband beamed a huge grin as he steadied her from falling. "No one is upstairs."

"Great!" Heer exclaimed and hopped onto him. Her arms snaked around his neck holding herself up while her legs wrapped around his waist.

Prem goofily smiled and held her close as he carried her into her room. "Just me and you," he murmured between sweet kisses. He laid her down on the bed and moved his lips seductively down her chin to her neck. He felt his wife's fingers sink into his hair and the gentle pressure from her arms pushing him further into her soft body. "Honey..." he breathlessly whispered.

Heer met her husband's lips again as they passionately kissed. Their clothes were slowly riding up and twisting from their movements. Heer could feel the cool air touching her side and she immediately took his hand and moved it to that spot for him to explore. Wordless soft hums escaped their mouths as they continued to seek comfort in each others' arms.

A low moan escaped from Prem's throat when he felt Heer's hands hungrily push the back of his shirt up so she could touch his bare back. He pulled away and took it off tossing it to the side in a haphazard way. He returned his attention back towards his wife who was giving him a playful lusty look in her eyes. Their lips connected once more and he melted at the touch of her hands rubbing and gripping his back as the kissing deepened. They both groaned when they heard Prem's cell phone go off. "D*mn phone," he grumbled.

"Are you going to answer it?" Heer inquired between kisses.

"I don't want to," he sulked.

"What if it's important?"

"Nothing's more important than you right now," Prem replied as he continued kissing her. "It will go away in a few seconds." The ringing soon stopped pleasing both of them as they could go back to concentrating on what they were doing. The peace however was short lived as the phone began ringing again.

"Go answer it," Heer sighed as she put her hands up against his shoulders.

Prem childishly shook his head with a pout. "Can we finish this first?"

"Not with it going off like that," Heer replied. "Go."

Prem reluctantly got up and pulled his cell phone from the front pocket of his backpack. His eyes rolled but he answered the phone and put it on speaker. "Hey."

"There you are. Have you checked your e-mail? I've sent you the list of things I need you to get. Did you talk to Harman and Preet?"

"I haven't had a chance yet Didi," Prem replied.

"What do you mean you haven't had a chance yet?" Kulraj barked.

"Didi you just sent me the email today! Why are you in such a rush? Don't worry we'll buy everything that is needed," he defended as he slipped off his jeans and tossed them to the side.

"Dwaili is a little earlier this year and Bauji has decided he wants a really big party. So you, Harman, and Preet need to really help out. Us girls have enough things to plan and all the shopping we have to do for the gifts. You boys should be happy I'm not dragging you with me to the mall. You guys get so fussy. We still have to decide what we want to get for Ma and Bauji," Kulraj said. "Oh that reminds me this will be Heer's first Karva Chauth."

"I know Didi," Prem replied as he looked at his wife lovingly.

"Remember not to stay so late at the office. And you have to get a gift for her," Kulraj instructed.

"I will," Prem replied. "I really hate how you all have to do this."

"We're doing it for your long life. A wife fasts for her husband's long life," Kulraj explained.

"I know but still to go a whole day without food and water?" Prem worried.

"A-le-baba...you're worried only about your wife. You've seen Ma and I do it for how many years and only now you're concern?" Kulraj teased.

"I-hey...I'm concern about you too," Prem replied flabbergasted. "It's important now that your older."

"What did you just say Prem?" Kulraj snapped. "Did you just call me old?"

"Hello? Didi? Hello? Oh the call must have dropped," Prem quickly replied and hung up on his sister. He then turned off his phone before she had the chance to call him back and yell at him. He grinned and glanced over at Heer who was sitting on the bed with her mouth slightly open in disbelief at what he did.

"Kulraj Di is going to kill you when you get home," Heer said. "You called her old and then hung up on her."

"I didn't mean to call her old," Prem replied as he crawled back into bed. "The day of the fast you're skipping class, right?"

"Why would I do that?" Heer inquired. "I have to go to class."

"But what if you faint?" Prem replied with great concern. "I don't think it's fair that you have to go without food."

"It's the ritual Prem. And I don't mind it at all," Heer explained. She lovingly caressed his cheek, "I want you to live a long healthy life."

"What good is that if you're not there to be with me?" Prem asked taking her hand into his. "I'll keep a fast for you too. It shouldn't be just you. I want you to live a long healthy life with me."

Heer's eyes softened at his vow. "Prem..."

He just gave her a warm grin knowing what she meant. His eyelids instinctively closed as he saw her approach. His body tingled with warmth as their mouths connected and expressed the love they had for each other. Prem laid down taking Heer with him. He sighed happily when he felt her mouth wander away down his neck trailing to his left shoulder. Just as things were heating up between the two again Heer's cell phone started to ring. "Not again..." Prem whined.

"I'm sorry Jaanu," Heer apologized patting his cheek.

"Where are you going?" he asked as he tried to stop her from leaving the bed.

"I need to go and turn it off. Then no more interruptions." Prem let go of her arm and watched with anticipation as she took her phone out of her purse. He silently groaned and flopped back down into the bed when Heer answered the call. He rolled to his side and grumbled into his pillow at all the interruptions they were having.

Heer felt bad that she had answered the phone call but it was a number from India. She glanced over to the bed to see her husband groveling in disappointment into his pillow. "Aunty? Kaisi ho?" Heer politely listened to what her aunt had to say on the other line and knew it would be some time before she would be able to go back to her husband.

*****************************************************

Forty minutes later, Heer turn off her cell phone and turned towards the bed to check on Prem. She gave a soft grin seeing him sleeping in his boxers with the comforter covering less than half of his body. His chest and left leg were fully exposed to the air. Heer walked over and properly tucked him in and then went to the other side of the bed. She took off her jeans and then slipped into the bed. "I'm so sorry Jaanu," she whispered and then scooted herself closer to her husband and curled up next to him to take a nap. She had only been lightly napping when she felt him moving next to her. "Honey," he huskily called as he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Don't you have a group meeting to go to? You probably need to go before you are late."

"You are my group meeting," Heer replied as she opened her eyes with a smile.

"Huh?"

"I don't have a group meeting," she clarified.

"But at school you said you did," Prem replied confused.

Heer looked into his eyes and then shifted her eyes coyly downward. "I didn't want to let everyone in the auditorium know that I wanted to spend some quality mattress time with you."

Prem chuckled, "Quality mattress time huh?"

Heer smiled in response but then gave an apologetic look, "I'm really sorry about the call. It was from India so I had to take it."

"I figured that...when you started talking. Is everything okay?" Prem asked.

"Remember at the pool party I was talking to one of my cousins?"

"Oh yeah...Seema...she met someone in California," Prem recalled. "How are things going with the guy?"

"He's come to India with his parents. And well of course Seema and the guy arranged to meet each other. Somehow or another one of the neighbors in the subdivision where Seema and her parents live saw Seema together with the boy and went and informed Seema's parents. I'm not sure how they did it but they...her parents found the hotel where the guy and his family are staying at. They also found out they are from California. Aunty called to ask me if I knew anything about who this boy was that Seema had secretly met. She wanted to know if I knew what had happened when she went to California a few months back," Heer answered.

"What?!" Prem exclaimed. "Well, what did you say?

"I wasn't about to betray Seema's trust in me. So I just played dumb about it. But I tried reassuring Aunty that Seema isn't the type to run off and do things without a reason. That she and Uncle have raised Seema well and she's a good girl and would never do something reckless. After some time I was able to calm her down a bit and from the end of our conversation she and Uncle are going to try to invite the boy and his family to their house and find out a little more about them."

"Invite them to their house? How are they going to do that? If the boy's family doesn't have any idea about Seema then why would they come? I mean if Seema's family didn't have any idea and they were shocked can you imagine the boy's side of the family? What if they don't approve?" Prem asked.

"I know. I sent Seema a text message to call me as soon as possible. I was worried she wouldn't pick up because it's like 4am over there. I was surprised that Aunty had called me that early in the morning."

"She was probably really concern," Prem reasoned.

Heer nodded her head in agreement, "You're right. So, thankfully Seema called me back and I told her about her parents. She was panicking and flipping out. She said she was going to call Sidd...that's the guy...and talk to him later in the morning."

"Wow, I really hope things work out for them. I can only imagine how scare she is," Prem said. "We were pretty scared too when our mothers found out. Of course they walked in on us."

"I know. I wished her luck. From what I gathered from talking to Seema they seem like they were moving towards getting serious with one another but I don't know...their relationship is still very new and I'm sure now that the parents are getting involved it may change the entire dynamic of their relationship," Heer replied. "She said she'll call me later and fill me in on the details."

"I'll keep her in my prayers as well," Prem said. "Maybe they can have a prem kahani like ours?"

Heer gave a warm smile. "Maybe," brushing her hand through his hair, "But we had a lot of obstacles and it was so stressful...with Prashant and his family trying to take my father's business away and everything. I wouldn't want that."

"Well of course nothing like that but when it's meant to be it's meant to be...any amount of obstacles are surpassable as long as there is love," Prem replied. He tenderly tucked her hair back and smiled.

Heer gave an affectionate smile in return and then delicately traced her finger along his jawline softly speaking, "We've been interrupted so many times but you don't go to work until 6:00. We still have some time...if you are still interested..." She saw his eyes sudden light up causing her to give a short chortle. "I'm assuming that's a yes."

"You don't have to assume," Prem replied as he inched his lips closer to hers. "You know how much I love you?"

"I have an inkling," Heer teased putting her finger between their mouths.

"No assumptions. Let me show you," Prem said and moved her finger away so he could seal his lips with hers. Heer wrapped her arms around him as he rolled her over and began their journey of love.

Preet stood there starring at the various food vendors in the student union seemingly in deep concentration over his decision as to what he would be eating for lunch. His stomach grumbled loudly and he placed his hand on his stomach in the attempts to silent its protest that it was empty and needed to be fed. His eyes glazed over as he spotted someone carrying a tray with a chicken sub and fries. He breathed deeply letting the warm aroma of toasted bread, sauteed bell peppers and onions, melted cheese, grilled chicken, and fresh hot fried potatoes seep into his nostrils and down his throat to his stomach. He let out an uneasy groan and continued to stand there watching as people passed by him with trays of food. Those that passed by him gave him strange looks wondering why he was just standing there instead of getting something to eat. He looked completely famished. "Having trouble deciding what to eat?" Preet turned around and saw his brother giving him a small grin.

"PB? What are you doing here?" he inquired. He noticed that the look in his eyes was the same as the way he was feeling right now. "If Heer Bhabhi finds you here she'll beat you. Even after vowing to her that you would keep a fast as well you are actually walking around the food court? Are you crazy?"

"How do you know about that?"

"Meher mentioned it to me this morning on the way to school," Preet answered.

"I needed to use the restroom," Prem explained. "And I haven't eaten a single thing." He sighed, "Nor have I drank any water today either. I don't know how they can do this. I ate some of that stuff that was supposed to help with the thirst...Kulraj Di let me take some without anyone noticing."

"Yeah, the thirst is what's killing," Preet nodded.

"You're fasting too?" Prem asked in surprise.

"I found out Meher was fasting late last night. Veera, Ash, Maya, and Meher were talking in Veera's room and I overheard them saying they were going to fast too," Preet explained. "I thought if Meher was going to do that for me and we aren't even married yet the last I could do was to fast for her too. Besides you being Mr. Romantic...doing this so Bhabhi doesn't have to go through it alone...it puts pressure on us other guys. You are setting some high standards."

"I don't know what you are talking about...high standards," Prem chuckled. "I'm doing it because it's not fair that she does it alone."

"That's what I'm talking about," Preet teasingly grinned.

"You thought of doing this on your own without knowing that I was going to do the same thing," Prem said. "You're just as romantic."

"I guess I am. But I'm so hungry it's not even funny. I woke up this morning feeling fine but now I don't know how much longer I can keep going. Why isn't it night time yet?" Preet whined.

"You didn't wake up before sunrise to eat something?" Prem asked.

"You can do that?"

"Well, I just sort of followed what the ritual is that the women to do. They wake up before sunrise and eat something but then the rest of the day they don't eat anything at all," Prem explained. "That's how I got that stuff to help with the thirst."

"Oooh...I wished I did that," Preet said in a deflated tone. "I'm hallucinating food..is that normal?"

"You're standing in the student union food court," Prem replied.

Preet licked his lips as his eyes followed a tray carrying a plate of roasted chicken and black beans and yellow rice. "I know but I see it right in front of my eyes like if I were to reach out with my hands I could grab it."

"Hey you guys are here too?" Harman greeted. He was holding a tray with stir-fry chicken and vegetables, white rice, a piece of chocolate cake, and a soda.

"What are you doing on this side of campus?" Prem inquired.

"I had a meeting with someone earlier at the business library. Thought since I was already on this side of campus might as well get lunch. I thought you both had classes around this time so I didn't call you to see if you wanted to meet up," Harman replied. "You guys go get something to eat and I'll go get us a table."

"Oh, it's okay," Preet answered and started following his brother to a table.

"You guys aren't hungry?"

"I'm fine," Prem simply said and sat down next to Preet facing Harman.

Preet's eyes just followed the movement of his brother's fork as it picked up food and entered his mouth. Prem sat there deeply breathing in the scent of food around him. After a few minutes he alarmingly thought what he was doing wasn't right and he needed to stop. He felt as if he was somehow cheating even though he wasn't physically eating anything. Harman had no idea what his brothers' had been doing until he went to take a drink and caught the look in both their eyes. "Are you sure you guys don't want anything? You two keep looking at my food...it's like I'm going to get the evil eye if I kept eating," Harman said. "Oh, I get it," giving a soft grin, "you want me to buy you guys lunch? Okay, no problem. I'll do that," taking out his wallet, "Here..."

"No, Harman we don't want you buy us lunch," Prem replied.

"Yes," Preet exclaimed happily and reached out his hand to take the money his brother was offering. But he then realized what he was doing and quickly retracted his hand. "I can't. This is wrong! I can't...I must stay strong...I must stay strong...strong!"

Harman arched his eyebrows at his brother's suddenly outburst. "Are you okay? What is going on? You two are acting really strange."

"Don't you realize what day it is?" Preet asked.

"It's Tuesday," Harman answered blankly.

"It's Karva Chauth," Preet explained.

"Oh, yeah...so that was the commotion this morning? I woke up around 4:30 to use the bathroom and I thought I heard people moving about...Ma was doing some pooja or something," Harman replied. "Oh man, Kul Di is going to be irritable. She can get so cranky."

"You would too if you hadn't eaten anything all day," Prem defended.

"So what has this do to with lunch?" Harman asked.

"Don't you know Maya is fasting for you? And here you are stuffing yourself with food," Preet huffed.

"She is? And why are you so upset about that? Karva Chauth is for married couples," Harman said.

"I thought you knew. You walked by Veera's room didn't you hear anything they were saying?" Preet asked.

Harman shook his head, "No, I didn't hear anything."

"Meher is fasting for me too. I thought the least I could do was to fast for her as well. She didn't have to but she's doing it for me. You get what I'm saying?"

Harman's eyes suddenly widen and uttered, "Oh sh*t...I didn't even think about that."

"It's not required for us to do it but it's only fair," Preet added. "PB's doing it too for Heer Bhabhi."

"What am I suppose to do now? I've already eaten breakfast and half of my lunch," Harman said with worried. "Maya is going to be so disappointed. She'll find out you guys did it but I didn't do it."

"Yeah...you got to get her a gift," Preet stated.

"A gift?" Harman exclaimed.

"You technically don't have to because you two aren't married. But it is tradition to do something like that for your wife," Prem explained.

"That's why I suggested it to him. Since he didn't fast he can give her a gift instead," Preet clarified. He then smiled and looked at Prem, "So, what did you get Bhabhi?"

"That's between me and your Bhabhi," Prem replied.

"Oooh...is it?" Preet teased.

"You'll see later," Prem chuckled lightly.

"Is this a gift we will see 9 months from now?" Preet excitedly inquired. "Ma and Bauji will be super happy to hear about that."

"No," Prem firmly replied. "You usually give saris or jewelry. I decided to give her some jewelry."

"I'm going to the mall to figure out what I can gift Maya," Harman said abruptly as he stood up from his seat. "I'll see you guys later," and quickly left the table.

"He left his food here," Preet said. "Take it away PB...take it away before I cave!"

"Stop being so dramatic," Prem berated. "You think this is easy for me?" He took the tray and stared longingly at the food. The only thing stopping him from trying to eat anything was the thought that Heer was going through the exact pain. If she had the will power to continue with her fast he had it too. He marched over to a trash bin and dumped the food.

*****************************************************

Meher held her stomach and groaned leaning against a pillar on the outside deck. She stared longingly at the night sky wondering when the dark clouds would move so the moon could be seen. "I don't think I can take any more of this," she muttered and started marching towards the back door of the kitchen. "I'm eating rice!"

"No you don't Meher," Ashlesha shouted as she grabbed her cousin's arm.

"Heh...let go...I wanna eat rice...I want paneer...I want samosas...I want food...I want to eat!" Meher exclaimed.

"You've lasted this long you can go a few more minutes," Ashlesha calmly explained.

"No I can't," Meher whined shaking her head.

"Oh samosas sound so nice right about now. I think I could eat 10," Veera murmured. "Just like Nihaal and my brothers."

"Yes, let's go do that," Meher said gripping Veera's arm. The two girls turned towards each other and nodded their heads in agreement with wide smiles on their faces. "We're breaking the fast!"

"You two are not doing something silly like that," Ashlesha corrected. "We are almost done. Don't you want your prayers to be answered? To protect the one you will eventually marry or to find your soul mate?" Meher and Veera pouted at her words and just stared at her with big disappointed eyes.

"Maya how come you aren't saying anything?" Veera suddenly inquired.

She was sitting in one of the deck chairs leaning lazily back and mumbled, "Because I'm too tired to talk...too tired to argue...if I had the strength I would come with you to the kitchen and find something to eat but I can't so I think I'll just sit here."

"Ash, how can you be so cheery?" Meher asked looking at her cousin.

"I'm hungry too. You have got to be crazy to think I'm not," she replied. "It's just we are almost at the end. It would be a shame to break it when we are this close to completing it."

The girls turned their heads when the back door to the kitchen opened and Kulraj poked her head out, "Come inside and help with the rest of the preparations. The moon should be coming out soon." They nodded their heads and trudge their way into the kitchen. They were all dressed in colorful salwar kameezs for the Karva Chauth event. Their outfits weren't as festive as what the married women were wearing but they were still very attractive.

It wasn't long before the preparations for the prayer were completed and all the women in the household gathered by the pool side patio to wait for the moon to rise. They stood there waiting for several minutes slightly disheartened that the moon was playing hide and seek among the night clouds refusing to rise and show itself. Heer looked up at the sky with worry wondering what would happen if the moon never showed. What would it mean about her relationship with Prem. She felt a gentle hand on her shoulder and she turned to see her mother-in-law standing next to her.

"Don't worry dear everything will be fine. Sometimes the moon takes some time but it always rises," Gayatri said in a comforting tone. "Don't worry okay?"

"Haa Ma," Heer replied nodded her head.

"It must have been hard completing this fast. I remember when I had to do it the first time...it was a bit of a struggle I kept thinking about food all day," Gayatri said with a bit of chuckle as she reminisced her past. "Let me know if you are feeling faint. It can be quite a toll the first time you do it."

"I'm all right Ma. What matters the most is Prem and his long and healthy life," Heer said with a smile. "That is what has kept me going."

Gayatri beamed a proud smile at her answer. She placed her hand on her cheek in a loving and motherly manner. "My son is truly blessed to have someone like you in his life. You've made me and Bauji extremely happy. You've brought so much joy into this household."

"I'm the lucky one...gaining a second family. I love and care for all of you...you Ma, Bauji, Kulraj, Kiran, Rishi, Tanu, Harman, Preet, Veera."

Gayatri grinned happily at her response and gave her a warm hug. She then looked up at the sky, "The moon should be out soon. We won't have to wait very long."

The women continued to stare up at the sky waiting for the moon to bless them with its presence. They all turned their heads when they heard a growing harmonious melody coming from inside the house. (*Click the Link to Listen...highly recommended. Ishq Suifyana - The Dirty Picture http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4oMD7cyaBQ) They scurried in to see what was going on. Their eyes looked on in awe as the men of the household were coming in line down the stairs in their stylish kurta suits with their stoles hung smartly around their necks. They were singing to the beautiful tune playing in the house. It was like a scene from a grand Bollywood movie. "Rab ki qawalli hai ishq koi. Dil ki diwali hai ishq koi. Mehki si pyali hai ishq koi. Subah ki laai hai ishq. Girta sa jharna hai ishq koi. Uththa sa kalma hai ishq koi. Saanson mein uththa hai ishq koi. Aankhon mein dikhta hai ishq."

As they made it to the main floor of the house the sons and son-in-law respectfully stepped to the side letting their father take center stage. Lalit tapped his heart and extended his arm out high pointing to his wife as he sang, "Mere dil ko tu jaan se juda karde. Yun bas tu mujhko fanaa karde. Mera haal tu. Meri chaal tu. Bas karde aashiqana..." The girls gathered around Gayatri and giggled in a teasing fashion as she shyly looked away at her husband's outward display of affection.

Lalit just grinned and continued singing, "Tere waste mera ishqa sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana~" He walked closer and took Gayatri's hand into his and escorted her away.

The girls smiled brightly at the elder couple hoping that they and their partners would be just as loving and caring when they reached that age. Kulraj's eyes widen in surprise when she heard her husband suddenly start to sing. "Tere waste mera ishqa sufiyana. Mera ishq sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana~" Her cheeks turned a gentle shade of pink and trotted off with her husband following quickly behind her with a huge grin on his face.

The men of the household sang the chorus lines together making the women smile. "Rab ki qawalli hai ishq koi. Dil ki diwali hai ishq koi. Mehki si pyali hai ishq koi. Subah ki laai hai ishq." Ashlesha and Veera watched on with great interest wondering who would be the next to receive a romantic melodic gesture from their significant other. They dreamily stared thinking about their own love lives praying that one day soon they would find their partner in life.

Meher stared up at the sky through the glass sliding patio door hoping to see the moon hanging in the dark night sky. She frowned slightly that it was still nowhere to be seen. Her ears perked and she turned around to see Preet gazing at her lovingly as he sang, "Sochun tujhe toh hai subah. Sochun tujhe toh sham hai." She felt her cheeks turning bright red. This was the first time Preet was being so open in showing his affection for her in front of the family. It didn't help that her sister was nearby giving her a teasing smirk. She wanted to run off and hide. She was pulled back by her sister who shook her head and playfully pinched her cheeks. Heer then gently pushed her towards Preet telling her she should go to him.

Just as Heer turned around to leave she heard her husband singing behind her. "Manzilon pe ab toh meri. Ek hi tera naam hai." She froze in her tracks while Meher giggled as her sister was experiencing the same thing she had just experience a few seconds ago. Heer turned around and watched with bated breath as Prem walked closer singing, "Tere aag mein hi jalke. Koyle se heera banke. Khwabon mein aage chalke. Hai tujhe batana." The intensity coming from Prem's eyes was making it hard for her to breath and she shyly cast a downward glance. She felt herself melt when he took her hand into his and placed it against his heart singing with great emotion, "Tere waste mera ishqa sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana~" She leaned into him with a shy smile as he hugged her tightly feeling blessed to have her in his life.

Preet glanced over at Meher who was smiling at the interaction between her sister and jiju. He grinned and sang lovingly at his girlfriend, "Tere waste mera ishqa sufiyana. Mera ishq sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana~" Meher looked at him with coy eyes making him grin even more. He reached out and playfully tapped the side of her nose with his finger. Her eyes sparkled understanding the reference he was making to one of her favorite SRK movies and tapped the side of his nose with her finger as well. They both then goofily giggled at one another.

Harman found Maya standing outside in the pool patio staring up at the sky. She was waiting just like everyone else for the moon to rise. His eyes softened realizing what she had done for him today and he softly sang, "Saath saath chalte chalte. Haath choot jayenge," taking her hand into his and bringing it up to his lips to place a tender kiss, "Aisi raahon mein milno na." Maya blushed a rosy pink as Harman continued to stare lovingly at her.

Kiran cornered his wife outside and firmly held her hand as he tenderly sang, "Baatein baatein karte karte. Raat kat jayegi. Aisi raaton mein milo na." He then dropped down to his knees and devotedly continued, "Kya hum hain. Kya rab hai. Jahan tu hai. Wahin sub hai. Tere lab mile. Mera lab khile. Ab door kya hai jaana," getting up and hugging her from behind, "Tere waste mera ishqa sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana~" Kulraj bashfully grinned and hugged him.

"Tere waste mera ishqa sufiyana. Mera ishq sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana~" Harman sang and rested his forehead against Maya's in a gentle manner.

Eventually all the couples made their way out towards the pool area. The men continued to sing expressing the purity of their love to their ladies, "Rab ki qawalli hai ishq koi. Dil ki diwali hai ishq koi. Mehki si pyali hai ishq koi. Subah ki laai hai ishq."

Heer demurely smiled as Prem dramatically sang to her the last stanza of the song, "Mere dil ko tu jaan se juda karde. Yun bas tu mujhko fanaa karde. Mera haal tu. Meri chaal tu. Bas karde aashiqana," rising his arm up pointing towards the sky as the dark clouds slowly thinned and moved away revealing the full moon, "Tere waste mera ishqa sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana~"

The rest of the men joined in on the last line and sang with great enthusiasm and love, "Tere waste mera ishqa sufiyana. Mera ishq sufiyana. Mere ishq sufiyana~"
