Honestly I don't think it turned out there great but eh, read at your own risk! 😉
Tears
Premeer One Shot
She sat there on her bed reading the last line of the note over and over again.
"Heer, nothing happened between us last night. I have to go and this is for our own good, I hope you have a wonderful life ahead. --Prem"
Heer was devastated. How could he just leave her in the midst of their relationship? He thought this was all a joke? Was she some type of a toy that he'd throw away after he was done playing with?
All these questions were roaming around in her head as she tried to digest what she had just read. She couldn't believe that the one person she trusted would deceive her like that. Heer never imagined that Prem would leave her hanging without giving an explanation.
She slowly wrapped herself in one of the bed sheets as she made her way to the bathroom. Turning on the shower, she stood there to ease out the aching pain she felt all over her body. Her mind went back to the memories of last night, when they shared a beautiful moment together…
She could still feel the lingering of his kiss on her lips; she could still feel his soft fingers roaming around her bare back. She could still sense his presence over her. It was as if she was stuck in a dessert and he was her oasis.
Tears formed at the rim of her eyes - she was broken, and he was the reason.

Prem sat on a bench in the nearest train station.
He regretted every single word he had written in that letter to Heer, he didn't want things to turn out like this, but he knew his decision was for their own good. To an outsider it might seem like betrayal, but to Prem it was a sacrifice – he didn't have the guts to tell Heer that he only had a month to live…
Tears rolled down his cheeks when he thought of the beautiful moments he had shared with Heer ever since he had fallen in love with her.
Those were the moments he'd cherish until the end of his life, which was unfortunately getting closer and closer.
He could imagine the hurt and pain which would be evident in her eyes while she read the letter – he didn't want to break her heart, but it was better than telling her the inevitable.
"I'm sorry Heer, but I have to do this, I don't have the courage to tell you that I won't be in this world once we get married, I won't be able to tell you that I can't grow old with you…I won't be able to promise you that I'll be by your side, I'm sorry Heer…I'm sorry."

Heer still had hope.
She wasn't completely convinced that Prem would do something like this, he definitely had to have a reason – and she would find out.
Getting ready within five minutes, she head out the door in the cool wintery weather. She decided to head towards his house but it was locked from the outside.
Heer frowned.
"He's gone."
"What?" Heer replied.
"He left early this morning, he's gone for good." One of the neighbors said.
Heer sighed.
"Thanks."
She couldn't believe he moved out, at least he could've told her something! Just then she turned towards the elderly woman and asked,
"Excuse me ma'am, do you know where he went?"
"I'm sorry, I don't know exactly where but he did mention that he had to catch the train."
Heer was delighted!
"Thank you so much ma'am!"
She said, and ran off towards the train station.

The train's whistle indicated that it was time to leave.
Prem got up from the bench with a heavy heart and tears in his eyes. This was it. He was leaving back all the wonderful moments with Heer, his love, his future wife, his everything.
He stepped in to the train when he sensed something.
It was as if she was close by…
He turned around to see a feminine figure running towards him, as the train started to leave.
She saw him board the train; she couldn't let him leave, not now, not ever.
He saw her questionable eyes. He could see the pain in them, the hurt, the angst, the anger.
All emotions mixed together.
Prem shut his eyes and opened them as fresh tears rolled down his cheeks.
Heer knew Prem had a reason for leaving her.
She could read his eyes.
She couldn't stop the tears forming in her eyes as she looked at him – in one glance she knew this was it.
They were never meant to be.
Prem glanced at her one last time, taking in her beautiful sight, and turned his back to go inside.
He was gone.
She stood there, stunned.
It was all over.
Mohabbat se hum bhi ab toh darnel age hain
Lahoo banke aasoon baras ne lage hain…
