Four months later, Delhi.

Heer is sitting in the middle of pile of books reading Red Rackham's Treasure interestingly. Teji 'Heer' she stopped seeing her daughter reading a book. She got angry 'I told you to arrange the books. Here you are reading it.' Heer didn't hear anything. Teji pulled the book out of her hand 'like a kid reading TinTin. First I have to throw all these out of the house.' Heer 'ma' she pulled the book back 'its my favourite.' Teji 'ha I know. Your favourites are these old books and that old doll.' Heer 'yes.'

Hearing the sound Balraj came there. It is regular fight between his wife and daughter. Heer will sit and read when ever gets time. Teji gets angry when she sees her daughter reading TinTin like a kid. Teji 'see what is your daughter doing?' Balraj 'let her read.' Teji 'ha you will support your daughter all the time.' Balraj 'she is our only child.' Teji angrily 'do you remember she is our only daughter. then why you gave permission for her to go to Pune?' Balraj 'I'm not sending her to moon. nowadays girls are going to moon you are talking about Pune which is few kilometers away.' Heer giggled. Teji got angy. Balraj 'she wants to achieve something in her life.' Teji 'she is already working here as a secretary to MD in a big hotel then what is the need for her togo to Pune now. She is such a stupid. Resigned her job and going to search for another job.'

Heer 'ma, I don't like to stick on one place for more than a year. I worked for a year now. let me try something different.' Teji 'don't forget you have to marry soon. Your husband and MIL won't like if you roam around the country searching for job every year. ' Heer blabbered something under her breath which no one heard. Balraj decided to stop mother daughter fight . He Interrupted his wife to avoid further argument 'Listen Heer, I'm giving you one month time. If you didn't get the job then you have to return to Delhi. You are not allowed to go out of this city without us until you get married.' Heer 'Dad' Balraj ordered 'its final' Teji is happy because she know getting a job is not so easy. With a happy face she walked out of the room.

Balraj touched Heer head 'I have faith on your talent you will get it within a day.' He checked for Teji once. He pulled out a small card 'I already booked a room in this women hostel.' Heer excitingly 'thanks dad.' Balraj 'but if you didn't get the job then you have to come back.' Heer 'sure dad. but if I get the job.' Balraj lowered his voice 'I'll come to Pune after my retirement.' He sadly 'I hope you won't go to another city before that.' Heer 'no dad I won't. Pune is my favourite city.' Balraj 'good.' he checked the otherside for his wife then leaned closer to Heer 'tell me what is so special in Pune.'Heer 'only one thing is special but I'll tell you later.' Balraj 'why?' Heer 'now it won't be interesting.' Balraj curved his lips 'oooh. So something is there in Pune.' Heer got up 'definitely.' Balraj 'but you are not ready to tell that your father.' Heer 'yes. not now.' Balraj 'okay.'

Teji shouted 'Heer' Heer ran outside the room leaving her father to think about her special.

Heer sat in her seat inside the train waving bye to her parents. Till the train started to move Teji was continuously giving instruction and advices. Heer took a deep breath. 'my mother won't change.' She smiled to herself. Heer is only daughter of Balraj and Teji. Balraj is a Government Employee. Teji is a dedicated housewife and mother. They were in Pune for few years. When Heer was 11 years old Balraj is transferred to Delhi.

Heer finished her graduation and joined in a big hotel as a secretary to MD. Last week she heard hotel management were talking about a young man from Canada starting new projects in India. Something strikes in her mind. Even her boss was confused 'why he choosed Pune? Usually international business man targets Cities.'

Heer thought about this several time when her boss now and then spoke about Canadian's brilliance. He also expressed his fear that Canadian will easily dominated Indian hotel management. Heer decided to go to Pune to try her luck.

Heer looked outside the window. She whispred 'Prem Juneja, CEO of Juneja's'. The speeding train increased her fear 'am I doing wrong? Will Munna remember the words given to me? am I gone mad thinking him all these years? What is the connection between Prem Juneja and Munna? Why I'm going to Pune without any clue? How can I search a person without knowing anything about him?' Several thought running into her hearts.

Heer looked around the people sitting around her. As it is ladies compartment 2 young girls like her, three elderly ladies and 3 kids were sitting. Kids were busy fighting for the side seats near the window. She decided to stay away from others to think further about her plans. She saw a girl who is sitting in the other side 'you take lower berth. 'I'll take the upper one.' Girl is so happy to get a window side seat. She agreed. Heer took sheet from her suitcase and climbed on to the top berth. She has time till morning.

She opened a book and lyed down as if she is reading. Book is actually to hide her face. She is planning how to search for Munna. She planned to get a job in Juneja's. but how? what way it will help her to find Munna?

Suddenly her brain triggered some fearful question.

Will Munna remember about his words and return to Pune? He mentioned after his studies, did he finished his studies?

Okay, he comes back to Pune but how will I identify him?

If I can identify him, how will I prove myself as Pari? I don't even have that mark in my hand now. It disappeared.

Heer is helpless now. Totally she is confused about her decision. Can I give a try or return back to Delhi?

Heer looked down when she heard 'are you alright beta?' A girl who is sitting near the opposite side wiped her tears 'ha I'm okay.' Elderly lady 'what is you name?' girl 'Nivi' elder 'are you travelling alone?' Nivi shook her head. Elder 'where are you going?' Nivi 'Mumbai'. Elder 'for holiday?' Nivi 'no. my parents are there.' She started crying again. Elder 'don't you like your parents? Why are you crying?' Nivi looked at elderly lady's concern. 'I I' Elder 'ha beta. Tell me. I'll help you.' Nivi 'you can't help in this. its my fault.' She started crying very badly. Elder rubbed her back 'first tell your problem.' Nivi 'a year back when I was doing my first year college I met a guy in the bus station. We both started loving each other. Later he got a job in delhi and left me promise to meet me in the Delhi railway station exactly after a year. I came to Delhi believing his words.' she sobbed 'but he didn't come to meet me in the railway station. I had some clue about his work place. So I went in search of him. In the entrance of the office I saw him coming with a girl in a bike. He ignored me and went inside. When I went inside and met him. He spoke to me like a stranger. He said he got a girl whom he is going to marry. I asked him about his promise. For that he simply said that is made a year back and he was not seious. He did that just to make her happy so that she won't create any problem while leaving.' Elder comforted Nivi.

Heer didn't listen what that elderly lady told Nivi. Only thing Heer heard 'Forget the past. Trust your parents and live happily.' Heer totally confused 'just one year back he made promise and forget but Munna.' She finds hard to think that 'it is almost 12 years.' She closed her eyes tightly unable to bear her fear.

She struggled to digest 'if he didn't return.' She just want to inhale some air to get freshness. She got down went to Washroom. She splashed some water on her face. She repeated looking in the mirror 'Munna will come. Sure.' Like a mad she whispered this statement several times to give strength to her heart. She climbed up the berth and closed her eyes and decided to sleep. She ate her food. She closed her eyes thinking 't'row surely I'll meet my Munna.' Sleep didn't come. She read the book in her hand several time. But she couldn't concentrate in that because its TinTin book and it remainded her only Munna and the way they read the book sitting in the steps. Her search for Munna seems to be stupid but she doesn't want to give up her hope. After several hours of struggle she drifted into sleep.

Heer opened her eyes when she heard people moving in hurry. She looked at her watch 'must be nearing Pune.' She quickly jumped down. She folded her blanket. Picked the things from the upper berth. Now and then she looked out confusingly. Elder lady who is lying in the lower berth 'are you getting down in Pune.' Heer 'ha maji.' Elder 'slowly beta. Train is late by 15 minutes.' Heer 'thanks maji.' She quickly everything inside her luggage and went to washeroom to comb her hair. In another 10 minutes said bye to elderly women and moved to the door. She placed the suitcase and a bag near the door and looked outside inhaling the fresh morning air.

When Train came to stop in the Pune station. Heer got out of the train and pulled her luggage. Putting on her back and carrying the another in her hand she headed towards the exit. She took a taxi to hostel. She finished the formalities and went to her room. She got a single room. she placed her things and took a quick shower. She called her father to inform about her safe journey. She went down and had breakfast.

Heer decided to check the newspaper for some idea. She went to the reception and found newspapers lying in the visiting area. All the other girls were in hurry as it is time for them to their office. Heer sat in the visiting area. She just went through some headlines before pick up the Job vacancy page.

Heer eyes widened when she saw 'Hotel juneja's' written in a bold letters. She studied that column and found Walk-in-interview called for Receptionist and some office clerical post. Heer thought for a while. For her experience as secretary to MD this job is surely less paid. After thinking for few seconds she decided to go for the interview. She thought as a Receptionist she can keep an eye on each and every person entering the hotel. She quickly took a paper from reception and wrote down the details. She asked the location of that hotel. Its in the walking distance from the hostel. Receptionist told the short cut way to that hotel. Heer went to her room and quickly changed. She took her certificate file and checked once before stepping out of the room with prayers.

Heer nervously entered the hotel. She enquired about the interview. A girl in the reception pointed a way to the interview hall. Heer entered the room and found some people nervously sitting in the room. A person in that room asked for Heer's CV. Heer handed over the CV and sat in place waiting to be called in. Heer's aim is to get a job in this hotel hoping that she may get a chance to meet Munna here. How? She don't have answer but she has only hope.

Soon one by one people are called in. Its almost an hour when Heer got her chance. she walked into the room. One lady and a man are sitting behind a big table. She wished them and took her seat. Man looked through the CV 'Ms. Heer Mann' Heer 'yes sir.' He studied the CV thoroughly and passed it to lady. Complete silence filled the room. Lady went through the CV before she look at Heer with a smile 'Ms. Heer, we'll consider you when we get a vacancy for Sectary post.' Heer 'Mam, I'm ready to work as Receptionist.' Man 'sorry Ms. Heer, you are over qualified for that post. We don't have vacancy in any post equivalent to your experience.' Heer 'Sir'. Man 'Sorry Ms. Don't waste our time.' Heer felt her hope shattering in front of her eyes. She faced defeat in her first step.
