Part 1
Prem woke up in the middle of the night hearing his mobile. He jumped out of his bed. 'what?' he quickly switched on the light. Sajana 'why are you disturbing me? Switch off the light.' She covered her face with the blanket. Prem doesn't have time to reply to her. He rushed out of the house in hurry.
Prem returned home after several hours. His hair ruffled like he has ran fingers through that several times. His shirt is full of stains and dirty. He fell in the couch spreading his legs wide. His head rest in the back of the couch. Gaya3 rushed to him seeing his state. 'Prem what happened?' she sat next to Prem with a concerned face.
Prem burst into tears hugging Gaya3. 'we lost everything Ma. We lost.' He is crying uncontrollably. Gaya3 with fear 'Prem, say something. Why are you crying like this?' Prem 'ma our goodown got fire and everything destroyed. Complete into ashes.'
Gaya3 shocked. Prem continued 'we don't have anything now.' He is crying. Gaya3 don't know how to console his son. He lost not only his business. That is his hard work of his father. She know how much both worked hard to reach this level. Both were crying hugging.
Sanjana, yawning came down 'arrey where are these servants? Where is my coffee?' Prem and Gaya3 didn't pay attention to her. Sanjana sat in the other couch 'oh your mom son saga started early today.' She switched on the TV. The news flashed 'Today early morning Juneja Garments goodown got fire and everything got destroyed. The reason for fire is short circuit in electric line.' Prem is staring at the TV screen blankly.
Sanjana jumped out with a shock 'what is this Prem? Is it true?' Prem shook his head. 'yes everything is gone.' Sanjana clapped 'very good.' She laughed like a mad. 'That is the only thing you had. That too is gone now.' She laughed clapping her hands sang 'gone gone'. Gaya3 got angry 'Sanjana instead of comforting him you are making him sad.'
Sanjana 'why should I comfort him. What comfort he gave to me?' Prem shocked. Gaya3 'he gave all the freedom to you even after knowing that you are not taking care of him and your child.'
Sanjana 'come on Ma. You are really great. What you said? He gave everything. What he gave? Nothing. He gave me only pain. Don't do this that.'
Prem shouted 'Sanjana'. Sanjana 'why are you shouting at me? Are you trying to blaming me for your mistakes?'
Gaya3 'mistake? You did all the mistake and now you are blaming my son. You not even bothered to take care of your daughter.' Sanjana 'who? Sneha ? my daughter? What a joke?' Gaya3 and Prem confused. Prem got up.
Gaya3 'actually ma you don't know anything. I tell you now. It's the time to tell the truth.' Gaya3 'what truth?' Sanjana 'Sneha is not my daughter. But Prem's.' with a teasing tone 'born to another woman.'
Prem got angry and slapped hard on her face. 'you carried her in your womb. Now denying. What kind of mother you are?'
Sanjana 'yes I didn't ashamed to tell your illegitimate child as my daughter.' She turned to Gaya3 'I acted as pregnant to save this man's name when I came to know about his illegal relationship. Then I took his child from that lady. He is happy when she died after delivering his daughter. I brought his illegitimate child home as mine.'
Prem 'already I'm in tension don't frame stories to make me angry.' Gaya3 'Sanjana are you drunk? go to your room I'll send your breakfast to your room.'
Sanjana 'no today I want to clear all the blames on me. Because of that I started drinking. You all blamed me. But the reason is this Prem Juneja.' She moved closer to Prem 'you want a proof isn't it? I'll give you.' She kept her finger on his chest. 'tell me the truth did ever we had sex in our 3 years of marriage life?'
Prem shocked. He stared at her face with anger. Gaya3 turned Sanjana towards her pulling her by shoulder and slapped hard on her face 'what is the question you asking to your husband?' Sanjana 'how dare you slap me. We never had sex in our marriage life. He never touched me because he always loved that girl.'
Sanjana shouted 'Sneha is his illegitimate daughter. Illegitimate daughter. I'll tell this 1000 times in front of this world.'
Prem anger raised and slapped hard on her face. She fell to the ground and her head hit the nearby table and head started bleeding. Sanjana holding her head in pain 'you slapped me. You have to pay for that.' She angrily ran to her room. Prem fell on the couch with tears. Gaya3 sat next to him. He cried on her shoulder.
Sanjana came down dragging her suitcase after few minutes. Prem got up with a shock. She pulled out her mangalsutra out of her neck and threw on Prem's face. She walked out. Prem didn't stop her. Gay3 too felt no reason to stop her.
Next few days are the days which Prem doesn't want to recollect in his life. He lost all his business. He sold all his property to pay back all the money to customers and the staff. He sold his factory and he even sold the house. Gaya3 sent all the servants home.
Prem along with Gaya3 and Sneha moved to little house which Lalit brought when he started his business. This house has Lalit's hard work and Prem's childhood days. Prem didn't sell one more house where Lalit spend his childhood days with his parents.
Gaya3 continued to cheer Prem to bring him back on track but he received a heavy blow in the form of Sanjana's divorce.
Prem called Preet to attend his case. But he strictly 'Preet, I don't want to live with her anymore. So you don'try to save my marriage.' Preet agreed.
Sanjana proved in the court that Sneha is only Prem's daughter and not hers with DNA result. She used the injury on her head as evidence for Prem tortured her from the day they got married her. Her lawyere produced more witness as the proof for the false accusation.
Preet is wants to remove those false accusations on Prem but Prem stopped him.
Prem silence in the court has been taken as the acceptance. Judge declared divorce to Sanjana easily. His remaining amount of money which he had in his hand to start a small business also went to Sanjana as compensation.
Prem returned home with empty hand. Gaya3 'we'll get another way soon. Forget that.' Prem cried 't'row Sneha's birthday. I don't have a single coin to buy a gift for her.' Sneha came to Prem. She is always an understanding kid. Her smile always brought strength to him. She sat on his lap silently sensing that her father is in some trouble for past few days. Prem hugged her. He kissed her cheek. 'Ma, now I have only you and Sneha.' Only for them he is alive now.
Gaya3 don't know how to console her son. For the first time she is seeing him like this much broken. He is a very strong and bold person. Like his father he handled all the situations with confidence. But Sanjana made him a dead man now. But Gaya3 beleived this is an indication of Prem's bright future. She prayed for the same to God.
