Okay so I am totally on a residual coffee high right now. So I'm gonna shut up and just post the next part. Whoooooo!
Preet frowned.
That voice.
He turned. Was it really her?
A smile turned up the corners of his lips as his eyes landed on her.
She still haggled with the same fiery spirit he had fallen in love with, but this time there was a lot more anger in it, and he felt bad for the poor vegetable seller. It was obvious she had a lot of pent-up rage.
He wanted to reach out and touch her, hug her. But he was terrified she would look at him with the same repulsion that everyone else around him was looking at him with.
His heart ached for her. Unconsciously he stepped towards her, slowly closing the distance between them.
He froze, his eyes widening. What was he doing?
The vegetable seller had given in and was weighing the carrots, even as she haggled for more carrots. Sighing, the vegetable seller gave them to her.
He backed away.
He had to leave her alone. He had to let her live her own life without him. He had to let her go on with her life with Viren.
Tears built up in his eyes as she turned around, in his direction.
He whirled around quickly, hoping that she hadn't seen him. He swallowed.
Every step he took away from her tore his heart a little.
But it was for her own good.

Meher frowned at the figure in the maroon shirt. From the back he looked oddly familiar.
An invisible hand closed around her heart. All of a sudden she couldn't breathe.
Was it him? Was it really him?
She took a step back.
It couldn't be him.
She told herself to get a grip.
She swallowed nervously.
It couldn't be him. He was dead.
She turned around, swiping at the tears in her eyes.
It was simple, she told herself, she was missing Preet so much that she was seeing him everywhere.
That was why her heart was telling her that that was Preet.
