Part 8
The doctor had told them to withhold Kiran's death because of Kulraj's chemical imbalance post pregnancy. Lalit held his new grandson first and a tear drop fell on him. Kulraj said thaat Kiran had really wanted to name their child Jai if it was a boy. So as each took turns holding Jai, Kulraj noticed something was wrong. She repeatedly asked the family why they were actng so strangely. veryone tried to put her apprehensions at bay, and denied that anything upsetting had happened. While Kulraj tried to ask again- the Doctor came in and asked the family to leave as kulraj needed rest. The family hovered outside the door discussing teir woes. Kulraj pressed her ears against the door and strained to hear what unhappiness had overshadowed the birth of her son. She made out Veera's voice- i cannot believe that Kiran Jiju is no more- how will Kuldi survive this? As kulraj heard this, she collapsed and the family hear the thud and rushed inside.....
They were shocked that Kulraj had heard everything. Prem and Harman carried her to the bed and tried to wake her up. Preet rushed to get the doctor. Tannu and Vikas were crying, meher and soni tried to hush them and took them outside. Naina was consoling gayathri and yuvraaj was helping lalit. Veera was shedding tears at kulraj's side. The doctor came and told them that Kulraj had fallen in a pseudo-coma. She was not in an actual coma but the shock had left her in a non-responsive state and with the flurry of her hormones post-delivery she needed to stay in the hospital for two weeks and then she could go home. However, she was in no state to take care of Jai or any of her children. Gayathri decided to stay with kulraj. Lallit began making preparations for the funeral without being able to stop crying. Meher and yuvraaj took the children home. Preet was finally able to get through to ash and he told her what had happened. She said she was coming back immediately. These trying times were hitting the family hard and each member was left with an innumerable amount of grief.
A few days later....
The funeral had passed and the family was granted permission for Kulraj to be there. She did not react. Tannu and Vikas were in a horrible state once they learned of the father's death. Meher and Preet primarily took care of the children. Soni had to return to medical school and Prem-Heer's wedding was postponed indefinitely. Naina and Yuvraaj bought a house near by and Yuvraaj started helping the brothers. Yuvraaj bought 50% of the the new hotel project Preet was working on. Naina, heer, and gyathri took turns taking care of Kulraj.Ash was back and very upset with the attention meher had gotten for taking care of the children. The children were attached to meher and could not due with out her since there father had passed and their mother was not there. So ash decided to do something about it. She decided that if meher was not well enough to take care of the children then ash could take care of them and win over everyone's heart and regain preet's attention.Her brain was back o schemeing like her mother's. Preet and Meher had become closer while taking care of the children and spent a lot of time together. Meher would also bring food for Preet and Yuvraaj to their new office. Preet was very uncomfortable everytime yuvraaj and Meher talked, but Meher was oblivious to this. Meher was shooken up by all the events and had taken increased the number if her midnight runs. Her runs were the inly thing that kept her sane and pulled together so She could be support for the rest of the family. Prem and Lalit had been contacting several different doctors for Kulraaj's treatment. Even veera had become more supportive and began helping with house work. Harman broke up with Maya because she had been insensitive to his family's problems. He immersed himself in heading the business to alleviate prem and lallit.
Okay Guys I think I have two more parts left and in the next part you will see Ash's exit. I hope you guys are enjoying this- it is not what i expected but I hope after this ff is over I can write more. Thank you for all your encouragement!!!! 🤗 I love you guys!!!
