Hello everyone, I don't really wanna say anything about this shot....because I have loads of issues that surrounded this one but for now I'll shut up and let you know it's dedicated to Maddz, Sanya and Shifu
and all three of you know why! 🤗
"I hate stacking books," she muttered to herself as she crouched down in front of the towering book shelves.
She was spending her weekends at the local library just so she could get more volunteer hours so her college application would look good. When she picked the library she didn't think there'd be so much work involved. She had to scan the books in, alphabetize them along with stocking them back in the RIGHT shelves.
She had to be sure of the right shelf. She would never forget the name she put the N book in the M shelf. She had gotten a huge bhashan on that itself and then when she shrugged and rolled her eyes. It got EVEN worse. She really needed to learn to keep her mouth shut.
She continued stacking the books not noticing a cute little girl come towards her. "Aunty—mujhe help chaiye,"
She couldn't help but smile seeing the way this adorable girl was dressed. She had on a little dress with a tiny purse at her shoulder; but her shoes were the cutest. Every time she tapped her foot bright pink lights would shine through them.
"Aapka naam kya hain beta?"
The little girl looked at her with her big brown eyes. "Aap stranger ho. Main aapko naam nahin keh sakthi,"
She was floored. This little girl was like a little angel. "Chalo, hum yahaan behte hain okay?" She took her hand and led her to a small padded bench.
"Aapko help kyun chaiye?" She asked. "Aur aapke saath koi hain nahin?"
The little girl nodded. "Haan..lekin usne kaha woh do minute ke liye kahin jaa rahe hain, aur main yahaan bacho ke section main aao. Lekin aunty, mujhe bathroom jaane hain."
She had to smile. The poor little girl was so terrified seeking help from a stranger. "Chalo, aur haan mujhe aunty mat kaho. Mera naam Madiha hain."
"Theek hain. Lekin main didi ke sakhti hoon?" the little girl asked giving her a wide smile.
Madiha nodded. "Sure, chalo."
She picked her up into her arms and took her to the washroom. When she finished, Madiha helped her wash her hands and then took her back to the kids section where she saw a man with his back to her, asking people frantically for a little girl .
"Have you seen Suhana? My Suhana?" He ran his hand through his dark hair and she could hear his voice crack.
Madiha realized this was probably Suhana in her arms and she crept down. "Aapka naam Suhana hain?"
The little girl nodded and then she burst out of Madiha's arms. She ran to the man and stuck herself against his legs and he picked her up and turned around.
"Where did you go Suhana? Did you know how worried I got?" He kissed her face quickly and she pulled away.
"It tickles!" She laughed as she pointed at his stubble.
Madiha smiled as she watched the connection between Suhana and this man she assumed must be his father and grinned. She was glad the adorable girl had someone so caring in her life.
"Aap kahan thi?" He asked her quietly.
Suhana turned around and pointed in Madiha's direction. "Maddz didi ke saath."
Prem turned and saw a gorgeous woman with black square glasses perched on her cute nose. Her bangs fell on her forehead and she really did look like the type of girl you'd imagine working in a library. Her dark hair tumbled down her back and when she looked into his eyes he saw little flecks of hazel in her otherwise brown eyes.
Madiha smiled slowly as she walked over to the man and his daughter. "Hi,"
"Hi. I'm Prem. Prem Juneja. Thank for taking care of her," He leaned his head towards hers and smiled.
"It was my pleasure," She replied. "Your daughter's really very sweet,"
His daughter? Prem couldn't help but laugh to himself. He didn't know why but every time people saw him and Suhana together they always jumped to that conclusion. But according to his younger brother Preet that meant girls treated him better than most guys because they saw that he was sweet and sensitive. He didn't even realize that though, he was just happy to be spending time with this little angel of his.
Prem looked at Suhana then and Madiha felt that she was missing out on a private joke.
"Yeh meri beti nahin hain," He informed her.
Madiha didn't know what to do with the new information. She was surprised that Suhana was his daughter but then she mentally hit herself. That didn't mean anything for you though, She patted Suhana's cheek. "She's a very sweet girl."
"Bilkul aapni ma pe gayi hain,"
"Which obviously isn't your wife?" Madiha asked.
Prem smiled as he shook his head. "I'm not married. Suhana's actually my friend Sanya's daughter."
Madiha was surprised. Someone this good looking had to have the whole works. Nice house, two kids, loving wife. But Prem wasn't married either. Then she shut herself up by just smiling.
"Okay we'll get out of your way." Prem smiled as he turned to leave.
Madiha watched as Suhana quietly whispered something in Prem's ear before he turned again to face her. "Would you like to have lunch with us actually?"
"I—uh," Madiha mumbled.
"Hey Madiha, It's time for your lunch break," one of her co-workers told her.
Prem gave her a cute smile as she looked back at him. "Sure, I'd love to come."
Madiha took off her name badge and put it on her purse as she walked out of the library with Prem and Suhana. Maybe volunteering in the mornings wasn't such a bad idea after all.
