After what happened yesterday, he had to talk to her. He had to tell her that he was sorry of suspecting her again...but why? He didn't want her to be married with a cheater like she had done before. He didn't want her to be in pain anymore. He wanted her to be happy. He had been stupid. Stupid enough to think that she was getting married. How could he? Just how could he think that HIS Heer was getting married? She hadn't moved on in her life, just like he hadn't. Why? Did she still love him? Ofcourse she did! But why? Why was she wasting her time over him? Him, who had never given her any happiness? Him -who had always given her sadness. Sadness to the extent that she was forced to leave from thier house. And this time, it wasn't her who didn't deserve him, it was he who didn't deserve HER. Prem recalled his past moments that had made major impacts on his life. He had misunderstood Heer of getting married. He had found out Heer wasn't getting married. He had found out that Heer was happy the way she was and he had found that that she still loved him as much as he loved her.
'Ye bhi koi jeena hai, jahaan mere paas na hi koi apne hai, aur na hi koi paraye' he thought. Seeping in his tears. He had promised himself he would never cry, but it was all failing. He had to cry. He wanted to cry. Heer wanted him to leave her alone and she was right. He should leave her alone. He was nothing but torture to her. Torture that ruined her life. The one that broke her trust. Why should she come back to him?
Prem walks over to his bed and picks him his suitcase lying there. He will leave. He will leave her alone. Leave her life. Leave this desh which had his dil in it. Leave everything, just so she could breathe properly. Just so she could live properly. Prem had a stern look on his face, remembering himself that he would not allow any drop of tear slide from his eye. He walks out his office door when he remembers the past moments they both had spent together. The promises they had made. The vows they had taken. He couldn't leave now. She hadn't moved on in her life so why should he try to move on in his? He had to talk to her. He had to talk to her just once. He had to tell her how he felt about her. He had to tell her that he still loved her. Just once.
Prem walks towards Heer's room, unsure of what he was going to do or how or what he was going to say but he knew one thing. He loved Heer and there was nothing in the world that would stop him from telling her that. Nothing. Not even his God. He loved Heer and that was all he cared about. Yes, he did make a mistake, a mistake that he should never be forgiven for but it wasn't that brutal. The mistake wasn't that big that HIS Heer went away from him. He had broken her trust but, he still loved her. Prem slowly pushes open the door open. The step he took towards her seemed like it would kill him to go any closer. It was HIS Heer. His Heer that he loved but no. Everything had changed. The world had changed, times had changed, then why? Why hadn't thier love for each other change? Why hadn't she changed? And why hadn't he changed? Even now when he saw her, it felt as if the old times were back. The old happy times, just to be woken up to see it all a dream.
"Heer..." Prem says, after a cold sigh.
Heer turns around to face him. Her eyes moist. She was wearing a light pink saari. Prem gives her a pained smile. Her face was expressionless.
