*humming ''bakhuda, tum hi ho, har jagah tum hi ho, haan main dekhun jahan jab
Us jagah tum hi ho'' under my breath as i type this. and hoping meera (indiandoll89) makes a vm with prem and heer from the rajasthan days on this..*
* prem-heer thing:
prem stares ... longingly. but did anyone wonder, longing for what?

* little thing: well, there was that part where that guy does a very gol-gol-conversation with prem when prem comes out of room #304, no? man! is it tempting to think that that guy knows everything 'bout the connection between heer and prem juneja, or what?!! *sigh, i do hope so...*
remember that point at which that guy asks prem how people end up meeting and falling in love all 'cause of fate? and how at the end, he gently berates prem that after all that fate has done to get him there, he might as well stay. that was very sweetly done - for an inuendo!!!
*sigh, i sooo hope that guy knows... my poor brain that is already so stressed with this show... *
'nyway. 'cause the show was just so full of them, here is my list of prem-heer observation things, all in one spot. ๐
1. the first prem-heer moment, where heer discovers prem is back in her life was - once again - curiously empty of much shock on heer's part, no? as if she was almost expecting it to be him by the time his face was clearly lit up in front of her? i guess after wondering at the ''feelings'' she has been having that things were looking like they did a long while ago, maybe it was not that much of a surprise for her?
so what was more remarkable in that scene was the waiting-watching look on prem's face. that one that seemed to contain more than a tinge of apology, as if to say he was sorry for having come back just then? ๐
* little thing: btw, what was with the weird wide eyes shots? almost creeped for a moment.
2. heer in prem's arms. once again, how curious that it was such a ... ''silent'' moment. it was a pheyeoooh, all right, but one empty of the usual prem-heer eye conversation. they just looked like they were drinking in their fill of a sight they had been missing for so long, as if they could make up not having seen each other for six years -- all in that one moment! at that moment, it seemed like there was no world, no universe, no time! there was just prem and his heer. making up for lost time... was a curiously deep but new prem-heer moment, no?
and of course, yet another one of those prem soliloquies: ''i never thought that i'd hold you like this, where i can breathe in every one of your breaths, feel every one of your shudders, the pulsing of the blood in your veins, every beat of your heart...''
3. it was when she turned away that it looked like the world started turning on it's axis again, the grains in the hourglass of time started falling again, that prem and heer register that there was a past, a present, and a future to deal with, no?
*sigh* pity that moment came -- 'cause it was then that their tears started.
and there was nothing that i wanted to know more than what prem was going to say to heer when he reached out to turn her 'round to face him? *sigh* man, that was a terrible moment for that guy to interrupt! wanted sooo badly to throw something at him just then!
4. but the most terrible prem-heer moment just had to be the one in prem's office. there were so many glass walls between them! prem-heer of prem-heer-are-one! man, i despise this time line shift of six years! it was heart-wrenching to watch 'em fence around each other. looking beautiful of course, but heart-wrenching.
and beyond the beauty of prem and heer, the thing that stuck me immediately was heer's desperation to tell prem not to be at the wedding. and prem's waiting attitude -- with a curious sense of accusation in his eyes, and his voice as he looks at heer!! and it struck me -- albeit much later when i saw prem's fierce resolve not to let heer freeze him off again -- that that conversation was all about their child??
heer may have couched it in terms of the wedding, but the key thing is that she doesn't want him there. why??? if she has gone so far ahead in her life, that she doesn't need his support, why should she give two hoots if he's there watching? surely a heer who-is-over-prem-heer-are-one wouldn't give a damn 'bout the prem part? 'cause you can't bear to tell your kid not to come to a wedding, and you don't want prem to see her -- give prem a reason to come back into your life with all his ability to tear at your heart, absorb your soul completely as he'd done a damned six time-line-shifted time ago??!
and prem! mr.i'll-go-'round-the-matter-till-i'm-blue-in-the-face prem!
''after six years? why d'you want to talk to me?''
''y'know? after six years, i thought we would have a lot to talk 'bout...''
oh, really, prem? given how the two of you were wrenched apart by life -- so badly that you actually went to canada for six damned years? why would either of you want to talk to each other, you duffer!
and have you forgotten that you came back only 'cause your darned father demanded that you do it? what the heck d'you think that you and heer would have to talk 'bout, you.. you.. beat-'round-the-bushes duffer!!!!
other than the fact that you have a child with her -- and you know it! but you want her to say it first??! prem -- just take charge, wouldja please??! *siiiigh!*
er... of course, i always get things wrong in this show. but this is how i saw this scene -- you are all most welcome to laugh at me when i'm wrong tomorrow. ๐ i'll bring the cake and coke. ๐
* little thing here: er... are you all sure that prem-heer's-little-child is called chahat and not... tapasya? ๐ personally, i think both are slightly strange names for a person and have no problems choosing between them by throwing a coin. but apparently, tapasya is at least a known girl's name in hindi. chahat, otoh... ๐
seriously, though. why does heer keep saying this wedding is her tapasya of the last six years? tapasya means... severely disciplining to acheive something in particular, no? what did she mean?? *confused muh*
5. then of course, there was the call -- prem calling her to say ''i'm leaving, heer.'' two... no, three things that was special 'bout this segment:
- er... was prem calling to assure heer that he wouldn't be there? gee. considerate of him. *by this time, i was gnashing my teeth and dying to shout ''duffer!!'' at the screen -- except that would have raised many eyebrows, then questions, then discussions at the dinner table 'bout how much we needed to subscribe to cable... ๐*
- he said ''heer'!!! prem said ''heer''... omg. no matter with how much irritation i wanted to scream at him, it all melted away to nothing when he said ''heer'' like that... no one can say ''heer'' like prem can. no one... ๐
- wasting time beautifully with prem and heer. ๐man! the creatives have really really really understood the power of prem and heer, haven't they??? they wanted to blow five minutes of the show -- and they just had a totally useless segment with prem and heer looking at the other, with longing and regret, laid over a whole lot of love. and did one person scream about how useless that segment was??! did anyone even notice how useless that segment was?? no, na? man! these people are becoming smart! now i am curious about the story they are going to tell us about why prem left india six years ago, and how heer was able to keep herself from running to him six years ago. seriously... that was brilliant time-wasting strategy on the creatives part... ๐๐
* heer thing here: ooooh!! was that an i-phone in heer's hand, btw??!! omg, i want one!
6. the last segment was such a flip-switch of a moment! heer crying (wow, oh so beautifully!) at the window looking at the moon. prem driving madly away from the hotel where he thinks heer is getting married to someone else... my hands were itching to go to my head to see if there was a switch i could throw to be able stop thinking 'bout prem-and-heer, when prem took that remarkable decision to talk to heer right away.
* little thing: hmm.. prem swerving madly as he drives on the road. like a modern day hamlet playing out ''to accident or not to accident?''
- for accident: prem has just landed from canada -- 8 hour flight or not ๐ -- and is probbaly suffering jetlag? he's driving on a side of the road after having spent the last six years driving on the other side. plus, it's apparently raining in the balaji-telefilms version of delhi... ๐
- against accident: prem's going to talk to heer!!! and most probably to ask about the little child that she has had of his, and that he probably wants to share -- even if it looks like heer no wants to be a part of his life?
when i asked her why she sighed, she said that this was the way of all love-lorn women -- they tell the guy with the full conviction of their hearts to go away. but deep down somewhere inside, what they really want is for the guy to never leave them. to go against the world, against even the girl herself!, but to never leave them. *sigh* i guess that is when that line that heer said at the end made sense to me. heer tells herself ''that she must not weaken.'' 'cause that moment when she asked prem ''matlab, tum nehi aongey, na?''. she sounded and looked like what she wanted most in the world was for prem to go against her ... and come! *sigh* damnit, heer! stop speaking to him wiht words in a convoluted way! y'know, prem's not as good at understanding words as when you speak with your eyes, no? ๐
* little thing: one thing that came across in their face to face confrontation -- heer looks more ravaged by time than prem, no? she's more gaunt, more brittle than prem who is more well-to-do, even though he is more shut-down and withdrawn, no?
* prem thing: but one thing must be said 'bout the guy. after the tls, prem has been completely inscrutable and stony. the only time he has come across as human has been in that tiny thawing towards that guy and... tears and sorrow 'bout heer. *sigh* he may have told heer ''you still can't meet my eyes when you talk.''. but he comes alive -- fully and strongly -- only for heer.
highlight of the episode: hmm.... what to choose, what to choose? i dunno, really. i guess the highlight for me was the sense that we may just not have to wait for very longto know what happened six years ago to make prem leave india (please, please, please, let this one be true, puhleeaaaassse??!) -- and why heer is so hurt by it? or for the little prem-heer-child to appear.... i soooo want to know these things -- right now!
lemme go peek at mod-am khushi's caps again... see if i can leave you with a tasty little tidbit... hmm, here! does that make you happy? ๐

or even this? ๐ prem's hands holding heer close, firm, safe... heer's hands clinging on his shoulders... *sigh* if only we had some more time with these two at this moment... ๐

or one of those magical faded out moments, that have both of them... ๐

(khushi's caps at http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?tid=1210051)
*sigh* i better stop 'fore i end up pasting all her caps here... ๐ see ya...
