well, at least, that's what i want to do -- let's see if i'm gonna make it. or end up like prem on some heer-promises instead... 🤔 😆
* little thing: ohhhhh! so gaali-maa was the one who convinced the neighbours to give evidence against nihaal... man, this woman is getting to be better than dirtchachi in setting things up to get her revenge! 🤢
* little thing: noticed how meher calls heer didi and prem jiju. noticed how ashlesha calls heer di and prem.. prem? she's ... nasty... 😛
* little thing: does anyone else get the sense that they are rushing through verything except prem-heer-are-one!??!
i mean, heer talks to a lawyer for nihaal -- that's rushed&hushed. the court case is rushed&hushed. that nihaal apparently got convicted for ''this crime'' -- for six years only though???! -- is rushed&hushed! everything but prem-heer stuff is kinda whizzing past in a blur, no?
* little thing: hmmm. i kinda thought the preet-maya moment in the garden was sweet. it is true -- preet has never taken maya seriously. and she was the one who vitchface spent most of her time with. so i totally understood preet trying to connect with the person who vitchface was most like, and was most with.
i guess i was also ... touched to see tha the shrimp did have some genuine feelings for vitchface. but i guess it's tough not to feel shattered when someone young and fun-loving and sooo like you dies ... in such a twist of fate, no?
* little thing: heer's conversations with nihaal were sweet too. the first one, where he has completely given up, and ready to ''join'' vitchface. and in total contrast, heer is all fired up about keeping him out of jail. the second one, where nihaal looks like he has reconciled himself to his punishment -- punishment that he seems to have convinced himself he totally deserves. and heer is just heart-broken that one of her family -- her own brother -- has no chance at happiness.. isn't it funny? i actually felt more sorry for heer in both those segments. i felt little sorrow for nihaal!
i did feel sorry for him when i remembered how he has always had the devil's luck on family, no? he was the one who had a chance to ''save'' his own parents, even though he didn't know them -- and he lost them. he was the one who had a chance to live happily with vitchface -- and he lost her too. *sigh* is this what happens when a person completely loses hope? they become like nihaal?
* prem-heer thing: heer is at the window, miserable and crying at the moon. and prem doesn't come to her... my non-existant heart got squeezed. just like it got squeezed at both of them quietly spending tears, alone, on their own side of the bed.
*sigh* mom was right *as always, darnit!* is not good to take troubles to bed with you...
another thing -- prem, who got heer to promise that he will keep work at office, and out of home, is now working in his bedroom? *sigh* although, i did think that the look prem threw at heer, standing miserable in meher's arms, watching her brother being carted away in the police van, was ... interesting. was he looking stern that she shouldn't care what happened to his sister's murderer? or was he looking stern that heer was crying?
personally, i think he was miserable that she was so miserable. but that he just knew that he couldn't do a thing about it -- and that it was s'thing heer had to deal with herself. 'cause he looked like he was totally convinced that he is right and heer is wrong.
oh, prem... don't you know the world is never as black&white as that? that only you-and-heer-are-one is the only black&white thing? that not even your mother's love is as black&white as prem-heer-are-one? when are you going to learn that, prem? when? please learn it fast, prem. please..
* little thing: man, gaali-maa wasn't kidding 'bout letting that diya go off, huh? who else felt the irresistable urge to run -- not walk! -- and blow that darned thing off?
* little thing: er... is it my imagination or is ashlesha totally cozying upto gaali maa these days??? where has kuldi gone??
* little thing: oh dear. the ig-idiot's back. and noticing that things are tough between prem-and-heer. but not that heer doesn't want to have anything to do with him! idiot...
* little thing: man! it just had to be gaali-maa taking that call from that ditzy woman offering the whatchamacallits freebie, right?
* prem thing: hmmm... after a month of grieving for his sister, didn't prem look more calm and settled with life when he went to the hotel? his face, the smile -- he looked more peaceful than he had all through the last two episodes. *sigh* why did it feel like if that stoooooopid call hadn't come; and gaaali-maa hadn't set him up; prem would have been comforting heer with her miseries tonight? *sigh* poor prem...
* prem thing: but huh! talk about charming! one ''please'' and that darned hotel attendant gives him full access to the cctv recording!
man, is prem scary or what? i mean, it wasn't even a girl who's mind shattered at that ''please'', for crying out loud! should be locked up as a terrible mind-destroying weapon, i tell ya!!! 🤣 and i know just who can handle such a terrible thing -- someone who is just. and honest. and fair. and immune to prem's charms! it's time to bring in .... inspector o.i.tseste! yes it is! 🤣
* w&w thing: is funny, no? how you see the whole setup coming together. like an avalanche in the distance. and you tell yourself that it's like all the other troubles that plagued prem-heer before. except that this time around, what's new is that the enemy is within ... themselves.
prem who still believes in heer, but thinks she was wrong about nihaal. heer who knows prem was wrong about nihaal, and still went ahead and got him punished anyway.
it is in their minds that their enemy lies. gaali-maa is just the enabler.
in a certain way, death was easier to handle 'cause both prem and heer believed in themselves, and their understanding of the other. but now...? that is a leetle shaken.
it'd be easy to say that there's no hope for prem and heer -- that they are being setup for a fall.
but y'know? at the end of the day, this is the prem who when he first saw heer, saw only her eyes, and knew that he'd spend this entire life to remove that pain. this is the prem who swore he would be a better son before a better lover, and broke his father's heart at the test. this is the prem who searched the deepst depths of the lake to pull heer out. this is the prem who said he would make new memories to replace her old ones. this is the prem who couldn't stay away when heer called from her heart -- has never been able to stay away. and i'm not sure that prem would turn heer away... not anymore.
and there is no doubting that heer has only lived -- probably from the moment she was born! -- for prem. who has always given up everything for prem. her sister's life, and her own. not just once, but more than once. to save prem from losing his wealth and going to jail. she is the heer who was willing to give up her heart and her life to save prem's family from becoming destitute -- not just for prem! heer cannot live away from prem -- be he in front of her physically, or the idol that she has of him in her heart.
so, i figure -- if there has to be a fall for prem-and-his-heer, it will have to be heer who will do it! ha! i bet you didn't expect this, no? remember i said prem hsa never been able to stay away from heer -- except when heer called him from her heart. what if heer doesn't? what if heer is ... heart-weary from having lost prem's trust for something that she thinks is wrong? what if heer doesn't trust his sense of what-is-right-and-wrong any more?
what if heer doesn't call? me? i think prem's gonna come to heer, even when she is katti with him... 😍 me? i'm w&w... for prem to finally answer the need in heer's soul, rather than just in her heart... 😍
highlight of the episode: y'know that moment when he realises that her dupatta is caught in his ring, and he looks down and slowly turns? that look on his face -- that was the highlight of the episode for me! that look -- of the sense that he is still recovering from the feeling of holding heer so close in his arms, that he is still willing his heartbeat to slow down; (like this moment, see...? doesn't he look like his heart is racing at 160??)
yup. that look, that moment was the highlight for me... i also liked how the dupatta slowly but surely unwrapped from heer's shoulder when she tried to move away, getting away from heer's shoulder and staying firmly with prem... 😍
*hmmm... this was not a short bt,lt either was it....? man, i am soooo doomed to writing long posts... sigh, going off sadly to my bed...*
