Ok so SPA is over a big thank you to all of you and all the Premeer fans all over India ... that in the most difficult of circumstances ensured that the win the award they most rightly deserved... Well done and we have every right to feel proud of ourselves as fans
Now coming to the point we all are worried about the show we love ... our show is facing difficult times; TRPs are falling, BT does not seem interested anymore as if the show doesn't matter anymore even when it has been their highest TRP gainer for ages; Star Plus does not promote the show and is not willing to recognise the talent of HC and AG as it should be!
We the fans are in a fix! We love the show and the two characters that make this show what it is today! Prem and Heer ... we get frustrated seeing the two chars being played with like a ping-pong ball! The storyline does not make any sense at all, amount of bloopers is increasing by the day, script writing is becoming weaker and weaker; all point to lack of interest on part of the producers!!!
The question is what should we the fans do now??? I have come up with this 3-point strategy, which I am posting for your opinions and feedback! As I believe in democracy and do not like to be called a dictator J
1) Increase the TRPs campaign:
I know many of you would right now be looking at me with an open mouth ... I too am not feeling happy writing this because we all know if the TRPs BUT right now the TRPs have gone real down, which is not good! Simply because it is unfair to the actors HC and AG who have kept us glued to the show despite all the bloopers, pathetic storylines and utter crap the creative's have shown us! The magic they both created deserves appreciation and if we don't support them it would be disastrous for them. I do not mind if the show ends after having a proper ending, as all stories have an end this one would to BUT I do not want the show to die a TRP death because that would mean all the effort put in by HC and AG in making Prem and Heer so magical and out of this world was in vain! I certainly do not want to see that, no fan would!!! I want that when they move forward from this show they move with the satisfaction that their work ruled people's hearts till the end!!! They so deserve that! Right now both of them are being used and misused; BT is using and abusing them to cover-up the crap they are showing in KDMHMD and Star is mistreating them by not giving them their due and their show enough publicity! We the fans have to step-up and make an effort for these two amazing actors! Hence we have to campaign to increase TRPs!
People in India are the ones who will have to play instrumental role in this! Convince your friends, families to keep their TVs tuned to Star Plus at 8:30 pm, whether they want to watch or not their TV sets should have KDMHMD on! Those who don't reside in India can contribute by going to different websites who have a good amount of resident Indian population and can convince them to watch the show! We can promote the show through facebook by highlighting its unique selling point i.e. Prem and Heer!
2) Write to Ekta
We won't write to her to plead for mercy or anything ... we will draft a letter sign it online as IF KDMHMD forum members and send it to her either through facebook or some other way! We will ask her one simple question ... Does BT not need KDMHMD anymore? If that is the case instead of being unfair to actors and viewers they should just move towards the end of the show rather than destroying it, hoping for TRPs to fall and star to axe the show that would be so unfair to both HC and AG
If BT is still interested in the show than why is it giving the show step motherly treatment? Why the worst creative heads are moved to KDMHMD? Why no notice is taken of huge amount of bloopers in storyline? Lack of continuity and non-sense that is being shown? If BT is still interested why are all the actors /characters taken out of the show just because they are required in other BT shows? Ash, Preet, Kiran ??? What is the fault of KDMHMD viewers who fell in love with the show if BT has a rift with Star Plus?
3) Write to Star Plus
- Ask them to give proper promotion to the show and not make us the audience suffer due to their rift with BT... It's not our fault if they can't get along well with each other anymore!
These are just my suggestions for future strategy; please give in your suggestions by tomorrow so that we can start working on it as soon as possible! I want to take any action only after everyone's consent because United we stand divided we fall!!! Consider this as a last ditch effort to save the show both from a creative disaster and falling TRPs!!!
