Prem thing: yup PH at shiv mandir has always been magical. But must say it didn't quite do it for me this time. The reason being that Prem has always made lofty promises and stuff and the only time he actually fulfilled them was when he stood against everybody and fought for Heer (has he done it any other time?). The rest of the time he has always forgotten all the promises to Heer. Prem had said that his heart will cry if Heer's unhappy but isn't it ironic that he's been the reason why she's cried the most!!

actually, i think his heart has always cried when heer's unhappy. he never said that he will be able to keep her happy all the time, no? 😆 i mean, we automatically think he should mean that -- but s'how, i don't think that's possible for anyone. the one thing that i believe prem says and means is that he will always be with heer -- through thick and thin, sickness and sadness. and i think actually that is what heer really wants. she really doesn't mind being in a sad situation -- all she wants is that prem is with her when it happens.

the most recent lofty promise that prem made (that i can remember) actually is his promising heer that no-one in his family will hold her responsible or hurt her for what nihaal did. last night he made the promise that if someone tries to break them up, he will leave them. these are actually the first two promises that prem has made -- where he actually can do something about it! and here's where to w&w what he will do if and when we find out that gementor/gayatri-mom is actually trying to break them up as she has told vitchface. *i still think not -- but playing along with the possibilities here*

but what I want to know is if Prem has to choose between Heer and his mom again will he go with Heer or still be with the family? Prem, according to me, always stood for the right. But inspite of knowing that heer wasn't at fault for veera and nihaal problem he chose his mother over Heer .

oh, even i want to know what prem would choose -- btw, did you see the last wtf? i had a twist on this -- i wanted to know what prem would have heer choose in a battle of trust: would he want heer to trust him, or trust his mother, if he and his mother were on opposite sides!

i am not sure what he will do in this choice between heer and gementor if he doesn't know the truth!, actually. 😆 (if he knows the truth, of course, he would go with heer! no question! ) but s'times i think that i don't know what he would -- with or without the truth. know why? 'cause of what happened the last time he asked heer to leave the house?

did you notice that both of them knew exactly what the other was going through??? prem knew heer was shattered, asked her to leave and kept coming to her. heer knew prem was doing it against his will or his desire. and never held it against him. and i think this is prem-heer-are-one. y'know? in all the other shows, when such things have happened, things have rapidly spun out of control 'cause the hurt person never gives the hurting person a chance. heer gets hurt; but she always gives prem a chance. and i think this is 'cause she has been through the pain of having prem ... apparently die.

maybe this love story is all 'bout what happens when you face the reality that you lose your love to death -- and get him back again. how would that love story be?

prem and heer's love for the other are such contrasts 'cause of what they have gone through, no?

'bout prem? he's never had that experience of losing heer. and the way that he's behaving -- it's like he knows that he can hurt heer now and he will always have a chance to make her happy later. 'cause he knows of the depth of her love for him and his for her. he behaves like he has forever to love her -- what's a little minor hurt just now. but heer? heer can never forget that she is mortal and so is he. so she is the one who will ''suffer infinite pain for a single moment of love and life with prem''.

Also other thing I don't understand is when will we see Prem showing his loyalty to this relationship? It is always Heer who is proving time and again that she's completely in the relationship and will go to any extent to do everything to keep it strong.

yes, in all the cases upto now, no? even prem has been loyal to his relationship with heer -- well, upto now? he stood with her against the first set of veera accusations? and heer has been loyal to this relationship -- upto now? but heer is being disloyal to prem just now, isn't she? she's being loyal to gayatri-mom more than to prem?

it's kinda twisted, isn't it? the reason that she is so loyal to gayatri-mom is 'cause she is loyal to prem. but in the end, gives him his first reason to doubt her. what i loved 'bout this shiv mandir is that - at the first instance of disquiet in his heart about his own heer - he sets up a situation away from home and everything else to know what is important for the two of them.

c'mon, hope! how much more prem-heer-are-one can things be? i mean, forget 'bout the fact that it's also one way for him to reassure heer without being overheard by snoopy gementor and vitchface. and they are still in the dark 'bout how prem-heer have reconfirmed and reinstated that prem-heer-are-one. but cutting off the whole world to understand why this first trouble to bother him 'bout heer's faith in him -- was just wonderful! 😍 there are many reasons i loved shiv-mandir #3, but this is really one of the biggest.

but btw, i agree with you on one thing -- i always thought and still think that prem talks too much. he should learn (like i should!) that less can s'times be more... ? 😆

She had ample opportunity to tell the truth and tell him about the whole Gaya3 blackmailing story but she didn't, why? Prem promised that nobody will come in between them then why didn't she say it? Does she not trust his words?

'cause she is intelligent enough to know that there's something really fishy in what gementor is trying? maybe she checked with s'one else 'bout cases against prem and found nothing? and sure, i am not sure she trusts his words -- when it comes to gayatri-mom. 'cause she herself has gone against prem for gayatri-mom!!! if she knows that she has ... (to use a strong word bluntly) betrayed prem's trust for gaytari-mom, perhaps she thinks that it is correct that prem should betray her for gayatri-mom too!?

seriously for these two, gayatri-mom is just ... god.

And BTW why is everybody talking about the hotel being the issue here?

that's a good point -- i think that the inheritance is something that is weighing on everyone else's head -- certainly heers! i think the only one that is not disturbed by it is ... prem! he genuinely doesn't care and is pleased 'bout it. but noone else truly is. they all think that prem-heer-are-one will fail before it. well. not prem. (if my gementor-is-faking-it thinking is right) not gayatri-mom. and ... not me! 😆

AG thing: I quite liked her in the whole flirting bit. I think she does the whole fiirting with Prem part very well. Infact they both do it very well.

loved ur poem.... solution is dont fight it, enjoy the haze that comes with the hai mein mar jawan, daydream a bit about hc-prem cuddling ag-heer then come out of the haze to the realities of the world and wait till you can watch the show that day.... if you fight it, it takes over you, you have to accept their influence in your life and run with it 😉

er.. fatima? "that haze" tends to take over and cloud my brains for ... er ... quite a long while! i dunno 'bout you -- but i have to have forcible external stimulus to bring it out! (like my gang coming and knocking me on my head so hard that i fall over in my chair! or my pcp spooning pistachio gelato into my drooling mouth... 😆) and in the middle of an exam, i can't quite imagine a readily available forcible external stimulus!! 😆 when i fight it, i at least get my brain for a short time - at least enough time to write some half-coherent answers which will hopefully get me a pass grade!
