what can happen to prem if that situation occur!

guys ,i know what i m going to ask wont happen in the show ,but now-a-days we r compairing heer & gayu's importance in prem's life ,bcoz gayu has given prem options ( which cant be chosen by anyone ) & so comparision of heer & gayu came for this ,though BOTH LOVE R COMPLETELY DIFFERENT .now i want to ask what would happen to prem -
1.heer dies
or
2.gayu dies .
what will prem do when heer dies ?can he live ? what will happen to prem if gayu dies ?
my opinion is bcoz this is preemer love story if heer dies prem will also die or should die ( if CREATIVES UNDERSTAND THAT PREEMER R ONE & ONE HEART ,IF ONE LIVE OTHER WILL LIVE ,THATS THE REASON PREM DIDNT DIE ) ,if gayu dies prem will be hurt very much but after sometime he will able to be normal . now by knowing that we & prem will know what heer & gayu means to him .
