Kal Ki Tarah...Premeer One Shot :)

Prem glanced at the watch which read 7:55 pm. Only 5 minutes to go, he thought and started his usual pacing around Tanu's room where she is tutoring his little niece as she does every day. The 5 minutes seemed like ages as she didn't show any sign of coming out.

Heer came out of the room still giving instructions to Tanu through the doorway. "Complete the sums like a good girl Tanu, bbye". Little was she informed about the person pacing was busy staring at her and she bumped into him, causing both of them fall on the couch beside. Both of them stared at each other as if they are not person but some interesting scene of a movie. "Miss", the soft coo, brought them back to their senses and they turned towards Tanu who brought a red pen in front of Heer saying," Miss, apki pen." Heer took the pen after getting up and straightening herself. She bid farewell to Tanu and walked to up to the door. Turning back to Prem she shyly spoke out," Bye"

She turned to leave again while he called out like everyday "Heer". She turned back again, "Yes?". "I want to know about Tanu's progress",he acted serious and she smiled as this is the thing he asked her everyday while she left. "She is studious and intelligent, don't worry about her", Heer quoted out the same lines she had been speaking with him since she's tutoring Tanu. She flashed a small smile to him and left.

As she left, Prem gazed at the direction she left. He was stuck to the same situation, same exchange of words since she has been appointed as Tanu's tutor. Prem still cherished the first day he met her and was going to plunge into those memories but felt a tuck on his pants.

He looked down at Tanu who was standing beside him with her notebook. "Mamu, please will you help me with this sum?", she asked him too sweetly for him to refuse. He smiled and scooped her within his arms and both of them sat on the couch. They were solving her homework problem when an idea struck him and a dreamy smile crept onto his lips. He was so lost into his thoughts he didn't release Tanu calling him.

He took out a pen and a paper and sat in his study. Taking a deep breath and god's name, he started to pen down his feelings regarding her. He wrote down everything he felt and asked her if she felt the same.

"How do I end it?",he frowned. "with love? Nah'your's only? Nah..forever your's?nah..just Prem will be fine.",he concluded and signatured his name , folding the paper neatly.

He tiptoed into sleepy Tanu's room and soundlessly placed the letter inside her homework copy. Wishing for the best, he left the room, not before placing a gentle kiss on Tanu's forehead.

Heer tossed and turned into her bed, still deprived of sleep and she is not surprised. This has been the case with her since she met Prem, her student's uncle. Though they both have chosen set of words, they exchange everyday still Heer looks forward for those thirty seconds of their encounter each day. She wondered how come the officially declared 'most talkative' tag upon her ceases to exist when she faces Prem. Every day she rehearses something new to talk but that doesn't seem to work.

Tired of tossing and turning she reached her window and gazes out. She admired the dark blue sky contrasted with the white full moon and blackish surrounding , everything unclear outside, but her thoughts were cleared, she did like him, it was more than like , maybe love. But for safety sake it is something in between Like and Love. "should I confront him?", she thinks out loud. "I am a girl", her mind retorts. "hell!",her mind fights back "if girls can reach moon, cant they confront a guy about their feelings? I am going to speak to him.", she decided.

She stood in front of her mirror and stared at her reflection for a while , trying to arrange words into sentences but failed miserably. She could speak up in her mind and tell him what she felt about him but once her thoughts needed to be brought out into words she got defeated. Giving up at last, she went to her bed and laid down "jo hoga so hoga",was the last thing she spoke before drifting into sleep.

"Tanu where's your home work copy?",Heer questioned as she flipped the pages of general knowledge book. "Here it is miss", Tanu handed her the notebook which she opened and started correcting.

Prem was pacing outside the door since she entered the room. "did she stare at me 5 seconds longer?", his questioned himself but gained controlled over himself thinking he must be hallucinating and nervous.

Heer was least concentrated on her correcting job and was glancing at her watch pretty often. She just couldn't wait for 8pm to come. She was so engrossed into her thoughts that she almost missed the paper inside the copy.

"Miss apki paper.", Tanu said handing her the paper while she eyed the paper suspiciously wondering, how it can be her's .

Unfolding the paper, she read the content and was ecstatic, elated, happy, everything at the same time. She couldn't hold her patience for long and therefore she got up to leave.

"Miss kaha jaa rahi hai?",Tanu asked confused

"Beta, I need to leave mujhe ek kam yaad aaya hai"Heer spoke out impatiently.

"But miss, you didn't reward me with stars",Tanu sounded disappointed

What stars?Heer thought and then understood Tanu's disappointment of not getting rewarded with stars on her homework. Heer smiled and rewarded her homework with 7 stars. Kissing her cheek she came out of the room.

Why is she out early today? Did she read my letter? Is she mad?,uncountable number of questions frolicked into Prem's mind as she came out of Tanu's room half an hour early. He frowned as he found her still standing ,facing him but not near the door as he expected her.

Reaching near her he stood numb unable to think of something to speak and therefore spoke the same thing, "Heer, I wanted to know about Tanu's performance"

Heer laughed aloud and Prem found that odd. Controlling her laughter she turned serious all of a sudden "She is studious and intelligent, don't worry about her"

Prem was waiting for her to leave like every day she did after saying those words but to his amazement she still stood there and continued further "'She managed to get 7 stars today"

Now that's something new, she spoke something new to him. Managing to find new words he spoke up "wow"

"'and someone else also got something.",she added.

"what?", he asked confused.

"One heart, My Heart", she lowered her eyelashes.

"who?",he asked breathily and his heart seemed to thump loudly.

"you Prem", she let those words out and fled out giggling in lightning speed

Prem still in daze as he looked out to the direction she left. Once the words got registered he let out a big grin and ran after her, hoping he'll catch up.

Ahahaha this one was so cute! I love how both Prem and Heer couldn't sleep 'cause they were thinking about each other. And it was even cuter how Prem put the letter in Tannu's homework book! And the 7 stars thing...😆😳 It was so perfect!
