Yes after watching half epi of yesterday i am sure otherwise a hot tempered guy like preet would never call a thing like his sister loosing her baby due to torture a small thing. He is being mahan because he knows veera is at fault, otherwise how come he did not say anything at all to nehal when he was all mad when veera came home and so ready to kill nehal? How can he call this a small thing? He is calling it a small thing because he knows its veera's fault (hello though its not a small thing still, just because your sister is at fault does not mean for otherside its a small thing too)
Also one of his dialogues yesterday hinted that too when he was telling Prem and gyatri abiout how the family stood together after the news of Prem's death and survived only because they were together after that he said gar ub bhi hum sab saath hoon tou veera ki ghalti....veera ki shadi bach sakti hey"" what ghalti ? I don't think it was just a slip of tongue or editing mistake......i think he was about to slip up but caught himself in time!!!
I am sorry Nadia, I have to disagree here. Preet is not being mahaan. He knows Heer is not at fault and hence he cant see the reason why Heer was told to go and too by Prem. Preets character has remained consistent as of now. Preet is the same. It was him who told Prem that Heer was putting her life on the line for Prem, It was Preet who told Prem not to marry Ashlesha, when Prem was hell bent on marrying Ashlesha. Prem even went to the mandap and sat in the mandap with Ashlesha. He only got up when Heer was being ridiculed by Daljeet. Preet even refused to be a part of Prems wedding coz he couldny see his brother go through Hell. Preet was the one to believe Heer, when the whole family was against Heer and Preet though high tempered has always been the one to differentiate between the right andthe wrong.
Prem himself knows he is in the wrong. He has not been able to look at Heer in her eyes when he was asking her to leave. Forget looking into her eyes, he couldnt even look at her. Prem was not able to look at Preet, when Preet was taslking to him. So, Prem knows. Prem knows what he has done is wrong but he is helpless.... and you really want him to go against his mom?
When we cant go against our parents, why are we expecting Prem to go against his parents? Seriously, are we not able to see the predicament. of a man to having choose between his mother and a wife? A son can go against his father - but he can never go against his mother.
When Harman left his family for Maya, we all hated him. Why? Why did we all hate him at that time? We all hated him, because he left his family at a time when his family neeeded him the most.
Gayatri needs Prem right now. Lets not forget, gayatri has just recovered from the shock right now. Prem knows what the situation is right now at home. its very heated up. He knows what happenned to his mother, when he was supposedly dead. He knows that condition and he is torn right now, for he knows, if he choses Heer and he walked out of that door at that moment in time, then he knows that his mother may just become a vegetative state again, plus he also knows the condition of what happ when he was not at home and he knows that come what may - heer and prem will always be together. They will always be one. They are inseparable. Their souls are one and their hearts are beating as one.
So you guys tell me if you were prem and you knew that when you left earlier, your mother had become a vegetative state. You know what happ in your absence. So if you were Prem, what would you do? Think over it and let me know... for i really want to know
and ya another thing, just because Preet fought with his brother and mother, I dont see how that makes him mahaan or then how does that make him the main lead? I fail to understand this. Preet is as much an important character in Kis Desh as is any one else.
He has faith in his love and he knows, that come what way, their love will only be stronger.... remember the way kis desh was introduced?
For me, even Gayatri Ma hasnt changed. Because for me, she is the same gayatri ma who gave prem seven days, to marry heer..... she is the samew gayatri ma who fought with lalit over heer, she is the same gayatri ma, who took prem to the mandap to stop the wedding of RR and Heer. She is the same and I refuse to buy that she can be soo mean to Heer that Heer, who put her life on the line for the Juneja's.
So for me, all the characters are the same and for the creatives to wake up to their senses before its too late, all they need to show is Prem getting infuriated at Heer getting insulted, may be this time by Maya or then Veera. For Prem still has respect intact for his parents - he wont say a word to his parents.
