Thx for bringing this up... the only way I could resolve that line was by thinking that maybe Preet was talking figuratively in that Prem would stop him from doing something wrong, but not actually hit him... and that he used the hitting thing as a metaphor in his anger.... but yeah... I can't imagine Prem ever hitting anyone... in fact when he hit Heer once, I let it go as a blooper... but the second time.... and then he never even apologized, although he clearly couldn't bring himself to face her once he knew the truth....

Prem has not been fair to Heer. Doesn't mean they should pretend that that is the real Prem and extrapolate the character mistakes to his relationship with all the other characters just to convince us that yes... he can and does get violent.... The person he should have beat the pulp out of was RR.... I really wanted to see that bit... if they wanted to show us Prem's angry side they could've used that very well indeed... lost opportunity... but still redeemable if they really open their minds and stick to the essence of the story and to what is universally accepted as chivalrous behaviour.. instead of letting it go just because he's the male protagonist...

I'm sure he didn't mean that he literally 'hit' his siblings. I did find it weird, though. I mean, even during Prem's intro, he hurt himself, just so Preet and Lalit would talk to each other. He's always protected his siblings more than himself.

I guess we should just write if off as a blooper, BUT, I still want The Prem back! Not because of this dialogue, but because The Prem DID fight the whole world for his Heer, and I want him BACK!

Ditto..I too want my THE Prem back!!

Yes me too think that the dialogue writer is not the same.... And he is not atall familiar with the previous Kis Desh story and Tracks... Before joining he should have atleast watch the whole show from the start to get into the debt of each character, so that he knows which dialogue will be appropriate for which character... This is not the first time...somany times either dialogues didn't make sense or were obviously false...Rem the other day Lalu said "Maine aaj tak tujh par Haath nahi Uthaya toh ab kya utthaunga" This dialogues writer has no clue what happend in old episodes... He is total freshmen to Kis Desh show.
Jyoti - Yes New creatives are not familiar with the previous Kis Desh story... I am 438573487% sure they never took out time from their busy schedule to go and watch prev Kis Desh Epis.... That is why these days they are contradicting the bygone episodes....

Nadia I noticed it then itself but then thought he must have said it figuratively informing us that Prem used to rectify his younger siblings when they were in the wrong not literally I think. It will be against the very nature of Prem to hit his siblings otherwise. But then again we r talking about these new creatives who have brought him to such a spineless wimp state! So no idea if it was another ploy to botch up his character!
