Misty...its such a wonderful analysis of Prem as a person,as a man in view of all his facets.......a man who's presently torn between d love for his family n his promise.........but one thing tat Prem doesn't seem to realise is tat.....if family is an intergral of his being....so is he d soul of d family...without him they'll b lost.....

and I fall in the audience category. The thing with Prem is that he has a lot of responsibilities. He has had to forego his dreams, his happiness and somewhere down the line priorities have changed for him. He has forgotten how to dream and its heer teaching him how to dream.

He keeps telling prem to watch out for herself and think for herself first not because he wants her to be strong - thats one reason but the main reason is that he wants her to grow. He does not want her to be making the same mistakes he has made. For right now, for him, his life is short a life, where he wanted to do so many things and right now, when he thinks time is slipping away and is beyond his reach - he wants heer to live his share of life - one he thinks he cant live.

Right now - He wishes he can grow old with her - for him and for heer, love is all about growing old with a person...its what some one once told me, you know you are in love, when you will want to grow old with the person.

(I better go and add the above lines in the analysis)

His family does not misunderstand him. They understand him completely and hence they too will be pained and hurt, when they get to know that Prem couldnt tell them about his pain. May be this is where the barrier will come between the family and heer.

Thanks Pooja. He does realize that fact. Its not as if he does not. He knows his family is not going to be believe heer. He knows his family is going to look for him and come looking for him but he is helpless - helpless, helpless by what he thinks, is his fate and he wants them to move on - without him.

Prem didn't tell them? Did they ask? in their joy and happiness did they ever tried to look at the pain written in his eyes? I mean if they understand Prem don't they know he will never share his pain? Do they have no responsibility? It was amazing how everyone was dancing today while prem was crying and no one even noticed? Some how i am unable to digest this aspect of his family's understanding of him! He didn't tell heer either until she provoked him, she forced him simply because she knows Prem, she is the only one who understands him! Yesterday Prem was crying infront of LaLu did he bother to ask him why? 😕

Soaps, some times you dont need to ask...you understand. Some times, one will want one coming around, giving him time to assimiliate things... I dont think his family wants to push him. Rather they are giving him time to adapt, as they know he is just back and are giving him time. Some times, you need to wait for the right time. May be the Juneja's are waiting for the right time. I dunno. But you know something, when I am in a foul mood, my family knows why. When I am upset, my family knows why. Some times they ask me, Sometimes they get to know through others, Sometimes, they leave him alone and wait for me to tell them. It depends really.

Everyone will be furious when they get to know prems emotion has been played around with. Thats when you will see the love and strength of Prems Family.

Misty I havent been a very active member of this forum ever,so you may not even know i exist, but this post of yours is absolutely beautiful. Its seems like you have helped people understand Prem once again. The story line of the show right now, has way too many people upset with Prem. Some people say he's being foolish, some say he's too naive. I am glad you posted this. This will remind everyone who Prem really is, it will remind them why they loved Prem so much.

All I can say is you are a superb writer. May God Bless you!

hi misty...OMG...i seriously don't know what to say...you describes prem so nicely... it truly brings back the memories from the starting episodes....really nicely done...

and the quote

" The Woods are lovely, dark and deep but I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep" .... is best explained by " He wishes, he has miles to go before he sleeps as he has promises to keep' but his life is lonely, dark and deep" .....
