"Heer slow down!"I turned to see my friend Nida calling me.
"Hey Nida what's up? You have this lunch?" I asked. I hadn't seen her since last year in art class. That class was fun. We barely got any work done and the teacher loved us.
" Yeah I have lunch right now. What about you? Are you going home for lunch?"
"I go home for lunch cuz I couldn't find anyone but that's going to change" I told her. Beats being picked up late everyday and being bored at home. I noticed a girl beside Nida. "Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?"
"Oh yeah. Sorry this is " Before Nida could answer a guy yelled out "DIDI!"
I turned to face a guy coming towards us. He was fairly tall and had chocolate brown eyes.
"There you are. I was waiting for you guys." He said
"Hey Prem. Heer this is Prem and his sister Piya" said Nida, introducing the boy and the girl who was with her.
"Hey. Nice to meet you guys. I gotta go now. My mom's probably waiting outside. Bye"
"Coming! Hold on. You should've woken me up earlier" trying to put the blame on me.
When I reached school the national anthem already started playing. Shoot now I'd have to give a quarter. The school had this rule that if you're late you have to pay 25 cents. I turned to see Nida's friend from yesterday.
"Hey. Prem right?" I asked.
"Yeah. You're Nida's friend right? Sorry I'm bad with names." he replied as we started going towards the teacher to give her money.
"It's Heer. So you're late too? Where's your sister?"
"Yeah I over slept. Didi tried waking me up but she left without me" he said as he gave his quarter to the teacher "see you at lunch? Or are you going home again?" I guess Nida told them I had the same lunch when I left.
"Yeah sure." And I walked of to class. He seemed like a nice guy. Even though it was the second time I saw him and first time I said anything, I was pretty good at judging people. There was something about him that I couldn't explain. Oh well. It would have to wait. Right now I had to hurry to math.
