unfortunately, this weekend is doomed on any t of the wtf. i mean, did you all see the last segment of the last show-day of this week?? such wasthe effect that it has not just two-two but four-four-four-four screen capture sets:

and then, khushi decides to make up for lost rtm**-time and put up two-two rtms! and that too of the show-week that is my absolute all-time favourites. *yeah, that's still true. other than the episode-that-cannot-be-named [ROFL], these are my favourite prem-heer moments. truly. absolutely. seriously.*

and yet.... even with all those prem-heer-wmd*** exploding in my poor epe/ephe# ridden brain, there are some struggling thoughts that made their way through. they are confused and confounded. but they are thoughts! the human brain is a lot stronger than you'd think! 👏 so in no particular order, here goes:

1. btw, this might sound strange. but as my brain was being fried, slowly but surely by 12/4-prem-heer, one clear thought in my head was 'bout garry bhinder. dunno why, but i just had this clear moment wondering how this would've been different if he'd directed this episode. 😕

2. liked the little-girl note that crept into heer's voice when she was telling prem 'bout dirtchachi. poor heer. i think she's still terrified by her - but this time, she will fight back!

3. i like preet-meher together. they are the youngest of their family. they were the kidders, childish ones. the only ones who were capable of having fun, laughing. it seems kinda ... right that they get together. 'cause i do believe they were friends. and they could be the ones to have a really mature boy-girl relationship at this stage.

4. what 'bout ash? frankly, i dunno what i feel for her. a chance at love made her more friendly and cousinly to her cousins. forsaken by love, she turns into the devil incarnate? it's these extreme kinda of changes that make me feel tired and bored -- isn't that kinda obviously vampy? 'course, i'm prejudging here -- ash has not really originated anything evil, has she? why should she? she's got her mother to do it for her... and that's when i had my funniest thought this weekend: ash has always had her mother as the excuse for her bad behaviour, no? and that is why i figured i never liked her. 'cause unlike dirtchachi who tried to make her love for her daughter the excuse for her evil behaviour, and failed! ashlesha has actually convinced people that using her mother's example as an excuse is okay for that horrible behaviour to her cousins. i dunno - i've always believed that owning your mistakes redeems all bad-doing just that teeny littul bit. so yeah, no matter how chummy ash and her cousins have been these last couple of months, i always felt prickly 'bout her. plus... she really didn't cry that much when prem died, did she? 😕

5. btw, despite all the times that the story looked like they were becoming focussed on harman-meher-maya-maya-dad/preet-lalit-juneja conflict, didja notice that the show's montage has always - always! - been focussed on prem-heer? once,there was just prem (when we were all spooked 'bout ag leaving?). and recently, there has been heer with meher and vitchface 🤢. but the focus has never, ever shifted from prem-heer. basically, same as prem-heer-are-one. so there.

6. the credits at the start of the show has changed since the strike. 😲 i actually got my prem-crazy pal to watch and send me a list of people who have changed. and since someone mentioned in another post that we should have an appreciation thread for the technicians of this show, i thought i'd elaborate what we found:

most scarily: there have been changes in the "associate creative head", the "associate screenplay writer", the "screenplay writers" and the directors! the editors and the post-production are the same...*sigh* i wonder what these changes will mean for this show... i hope the scary sets for the wedding are not an indication of things to come.. 😭

7. i saw the promo! the one where heer is painting prem's picture! s and old ratpal comes in (without chewing for once!) and tells her to forget prem. uh.. hasn't ratpal heard? prem-heer-are-one, you bozo! forget prem? she is prem when prem's not around. *snort!* bozo....

y'know? when i heard gayatri-mom getting hysterical 'bout having to stay in the house 'cause prem's gonna come back there (😡 still haven't forgiven her for doing that and ensuring that preet-meher have a miserable life!) i figured - so that's where prem's gonna re-appear in the show. but then the precap shows ratpal whisking heer away to pushkar for something.

and here's what i thought next: ratpal's gonna hold heer prisoner (maybe to take full revenge on the juneja family for ... well, sanjana's misery, or something?). and when prem comes back, she won't be there. and then! *drumroll!* prem'll go and rescue her! and my fantasy is: he'll go there incognito! like hanuman went quietly and incognito to sita while she was kept prisoner in ravan's palace! but of course, sita.. er.. heer'll recognise prem! *'cause prem-heer-are-one* but ratpal won't. and together, prem-heer will cause ratty's destruction and downfall. *rubbing hands in glee -- i can hardly wait!*

unless of course, that odd shot of lalit-juneja's face thinking that heer is crazy comes in the way of all this good stuff. if he gets hysterical on heer, saying that she is "spoilt" 'cause she was with ratpal for a while, i'm gonna ... gonna... hmm, have to think of something suitably explosive in a totally-non-violent way to do to lalit-juneja. *which reminds me... have the mnstrs put their case up??! i want to see some justice done!* of course, better that lalit-juneja takes the blame of accusing heer of being pregnant with ratpal's kid(s) than prem doing any such thing. 'cause prem. just. wouldn't. 'cause prem couldn't! yeah.

so! still w&w - and why not? even with wfp at 36 days, these evil creatives find ways to keep us hooked. actually, why am i blaming them?? if there is anyone to blame, this time it's heer and her prem! oooh, i hate 'em both! 😆

** - rtm stands for "reliving the moment" -- screen captures of old episodes that are absolutely mind-blowing... 😍
*** - wmd stands for weapons of mental destruction -- which is of course, what prem-heer are! 😆
# - epe/ephe stands for "extreme prem exposure"/"extreme prem-heer exposure" - a disease that destroys the brains of people who have it, and make them social .. uh .. idiots. *you gotta see me drooling in public to believe this, i know... yes, i have epe/ephe - severe case! 😆*

(btw, further proof that if.com hates me -- when i tried logging in early this morning, it refused me! and then my internet connection died! i mean, c'mon! do we need further proof that if.com hates me?? 😭)

I was literally ROFL-ing reading this whole post!! I think we all have epe/ ephe especially after thursday's prem-heer scene which drove us crazy- I'm still not out of my trance after watching that scene 😍!! And I agree about Ash, I don't think it's right to put all the blame for her actions on Daljeet- she is not a 'doodh peeti bachchi'!! LOL- Vikash Goopta, and Rajeev Khandelval?? They should seriously start paying attention to detail, lol!! Great Post!! I miss Gary Bhinder too!! xx

I'm sure that if.com does not hate you... it probably just gets scared when it sees your username, about the ummm.... rather lengthy.... posts to come. Not that i'm complaining. In fact, i wish all your btlt were longer. But, the poor system is the one who has to process it all. But your analysis of 4/12 Prem-Heer did take the cake. Which is why it is perfectly justified that I spent an hour drooling over the pics, instead of sleeping.

a good topic for your wtf, but i must confess i didnt pay attention to which episodes were directed under Garry and which were after his death, i remember reading about his untimely demise... but i cannot pick out things he did and how that has changed
overall i think they do a very good job, focusing on certain important things and picturising some things to reay pull at our heart strings, i guess thats their job
i really like where the show went this week hope it continues on the same tracks and the creatives can tell us a good story
i want to see a really nice preet and meher lovestory, however much we scorn the way they ended up together, the fact is a lot of marriages do take place because of circumstances and these two were fortunate enough to make the decision themselves.... ASH, did not like her in the beginning she has rarely acted well enough for me to feel for her, or cry with her, expect she'll be behind her mothers pallu a lot
did u miss a huge thing in the new promo? did u see prem? does that count as an end to the wfp? at least i am very hopeful that wfp will end next week, am trying to find the exact clip of the latest promo to share with everyone, so nice to see a glimpse of prem 😃
i dont know how they will bring prem back and what the story is going to be afterwards but at least it will be fun to watch
hope next week is great for the show and we get a good bt, lt out of it

hey back. well, maya (maya123) brought up the importance of a director in what we end up feeling for characters. or 'bout the show. and i remember the scene that persuaded me that i had to watch this serial - the jail scene where prem's hand inches up the jail grill to touch and hold heer's hand. and that was such a small part of the whole scene. 'cause all the time, prem was staring deep into heer's eyes. but - the director here chose a full camera focus on prem's hand. and from the point that his hand starts up the grill to the time that the hand locks on! to heer's hand - i was not breathing. seriously! i had never seen something like that before - let alone in a hindi tv serial let alone in a serial made by balaji telefilms!!!! that scene was made by the director - the actors, the cameramen, the editors follow orders on such things...

i agree with you that the cameramen have done terrific work on this show too. even though i am almost certain there is a bias for a certain young mr. juneja. 😆 but that's 'kay - the bias works for me... how 'bout you? 😆 the editors are the ones that i'd like to have pulled the ears of. or is the post-production team? i do wish they'd do a better job of cleaning up and presenting their material. sometimes the back audio editing drives me up the wall... but hey, i'm not very knowledgeable about the mechanics of movie making. so i'm gonna criticise very very softly indeed. 😆

Yes E...GB is the only one to give us such faboulous show...He could turn any rhona dhona scene into a cute Premeer scene...one of the MOST powerful Premeer scene, if you have seen the scene where DJ is mad and throws Heer to the ground but Premeer catches her? The one where Prem breaks his marriage with Ash cus of Heer? Who would have delivered us such natural scenes except GB?😳

yea, that was a brilliant segment altogether. i always wonder what that creative process is like - how much is because of the screenplay and the scriptwriters and how much 'cause of the director and how much 'cause of the actors themselves.... i remember the mind-blowing speech-less romance of 6/19 (otherwise known as the-episode-that-must-not-be-named 🤣) that gb did. and then there was also the 9/11 episode (ande-wala) which gb did not do. after being directed in the beginning by gb, does it make it easier for everyone to create a 9/11 episode? i want to know...

I am just thinking about the changes after the strike in the crew. I feel the Vikas person has been sacked. Ekta has been visiting her astrologer again and changed the names due to...ahem ahem...gaining TRPs which aint working unless we have some cute Premeer moments. You can just see the change when we see HC present and romancing/talking to AG in KDMHMD v/s a No Premeer episode.

🤣 i know! i was totally 🤣 when i saw the list of names and the funny changes that had been made -- i think that vikash goopta started life as vikas gupta. poor guy. *thinking* does he make the change in his passport, i wonder. or is it only for the credit titles that he allows his name change. imagine having to go to the passport office everytime mz. kapoor visits her astrologer!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I actually like Preetash more and I fully pity Ash. First she was the one to stop her and Prem's marriage, than she left her mom for the Juneja's and this is what she gets? Getting HER Preet married to someone else.

you're nicer than i am - i still hold a grudge against ash for her mean behaviour to meher/heer earlier. in any case, i can understand pity - i think i pitied her for a moment too. but do you sympathise with her actions? i read a forum-someone writing that they would do "the same" in ash's place. i just can't see anyone real go ballistic and curse the entire family 'cause she got her heart broken by a guy. me? i think that i'd be running far far away from the bozo. but maybe that's just me??😕

I can understand Preet as he wanted the better of his family, and thought that Ash would understand and Ash would have understood if he had told her the truth rather than hiding it but MEHER? Why the heck would she after knowing Ash loves Preet and she loves Harman suddenly decide to get married to Preet? She could have just told the truth and still be everyone's favourite?🥱

'cause the juneja's are her family, and she will do anything for family? especially those that she cares for to want lalit-juneja not suffer disrespect enough to kill himself? and after the terrible treatment that she had received from dirtchachi and ash, meher probably realised more the worth of being in a family that loves you. 'cause she learnt the desperately hardway that being an orphan can be hell on earth? most of all, i think she did it for preet. remember that everyone there had seen lalit-juneja tell nihaal that it was okay for him not to be married to veera. that he would manage things somehow. and yet, preet and meher decided to do what they did. they both are desperately similar in that they are desperate 'bout their family. bodes well for their life together, imho. 😆

and 'course, all said and done, the fact is that preet was never that strong 'bout ash. is sad that she didn't see it. preet has worshipped his pb all his life -- he has seen pb stick out for that "someone who was made for him", win her and win love. so i am fascinated by preet never having said anything concrete to ash, 'cause he probably knew that ash and he weren't close to pb-heer-bhabhi. and at the end of the day, preet so badly wants to be like his pb!

Another thing I don't understand is, Harher confessed thier love and Harman found out that Maya left him and ran away while they were stranded so why the heck did he run away from his and Meher's marriage? Didn't he say that Meher IS the right girl for him?

harma....an! has a lot to explain 'bout why he did that aboutface on his marriage to meher. i'm thinking that we'll find out the reason for harman's sacrifice later on... *yeah, i still think that the harman who publicly declared to maya's heer-abusing pop that he is the manager of the hotel is the real harman. we just need to w&w to understand what happened here... 😆*

😆 er... zahra? i think that the change in names were deliberate! as shifali pointed out, i suspect it has to do with astrologers and trps... just when you thought life is really funny, it gets even funnier, no?! 😆
