Kis desh... is the soap which replaced the very endearing show of Balagi
Producing a show like this was a very difficult and challenging task for the production house to make the quality of this show as brilliant and sparkling as kasauti had. When kis desh started, many of the people didn't like it as much because initially the show had a depressed and gloomy background, as a result the show in its first few weeks it was unable to get high TRP but the show suddenly took off with high TRPS and one wonders how it happened.
How did the fan following of this show increase out of the blue? So the answer is the wonderful and sizzling chemistry of Prem (Harshad Chopra) and Heer ( Aditti Gupta). The couple was very much successful in spreading the magic on screen, and one thing which people really loved was the passionate character of Prem and the simplicity of Heer.
As a result in a very short span of time this show became the most adorable show. But it is said that things never remain the same, the very known trick of Balaji was seen, they killed the most likeable character of their show and that was Prem Juneja. It was a shock for everyone as a result of this the fan following of this show decreased. The show has not bad but average trp nowadays, may be the reason is the wonderful acting of Gaytri (mom of Prem), the way she cries for her step son is really heart touching, and secondly Prem's brother Preet (on screen name) is also doing a great job. All I can say is that Balaji is one of those production houses who has introduced many great faces, hats off to them!
