Heard of movie actors acting pricey? Now TV anchors are following suit. Aditya Narayan, Udit Narayan's son who hosts Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee, reportedly doubled his remuneration overnight to host another show.

The singer, who is slated to make his acting debut with the Bhatts later this year, was asked by STAR Plus to host Talaash-e-Baliye, a segment of Nach Baliye where a dance partner is sought for one of the celebrity participants from the junta. Aditya agreed to host the six episodes for Rs 20 lakh but three weeks after the deal he supposedly asked for Rs 40 lakh.

The inside story goes that Aditya, in his bid to be the next Himesh Reshammiya, has even hiked his remuneration for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. "Then, once he signs films, he can charge that much more," says a source.

STAR Plus, of course, wasn't ready to give in to Aditya's demands. They immediately took Aditya out of Talaash-e-Baliye and replaced him with Harshad Chopra, who is a popular face on the small screen, thanks to Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil, which airs on the channel.

Harshad had first started out with serials like Amber Dhara and Left Right Left but it is as Prem in Kis Desh Mein... that he has found his audience and a decent bit of fan following. STAR Plus would hope that Harshad's boy-next-door looks can repeat what Aditya's boyish charm does for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee.
