why such animosity towards Herman?

I guess my problem with his actions was that he was using a girl, who 's feelings he has no idea about, to please his father while he has another love..... do you think prem would do such a thing? he could have not said anything on that sangeet party when the video of him and heer was played... he could have stopped at " mera aur heer ka koi rishta nahin hai " his father would have been pleased but heer would have lost respect for him, that shows his character,

It is apparentli coz he was not a man enuf to own his love and even worse ashamed of her....wht crap was he tokn abt her bein not indian enuf anyway..ughh..hate suh double standards

And he's so spineless that he can't even stand up for the girl he loves or claims to love ! He has no guts to admit that he loves her in front of his parents. I feel sorry for her. He's not only cheating her, he's cheating himself. And on top of that, he's involving Meher also in it and forcing her to lie with him even after she refused once and to lead a false life. He neither respects his girlfriend nor Meher.

How long can he hide it? and for what solid reason ? Some day, the truth has to come out...why not now itself ?

He better not force Meher to marry him to continue his drama and then have an extra-marital affair with his girlfriend. Playing with two girls' lives !

'kay, to get to your question: i think most of the "animosity" stems first from the fact that he seems a little - just a little - jealous of pb. remember he first felt that his mother shouldn't sign her property to prem because they should all share the responsibility? and this time, even though i really think that it was vitchface veera who was the main trouble-maker, harman could have been a little less supportive of vitchface's accusations. personally, i think that harman does love his pb, a lot. so i didn't think he was bad.

but yesterday's episode showed him a bad light just because it looks like he is playing on meher's sympathy to get his work done. fine, he doesn't want to tell his father. but when meher said she didn't want to get married, he could've supported her! i mean, she has a good reason, and it would've been easy for laluchacha to let the marriage go if meher said no. that is what prem did -- he said, if you don't want to, you don't have to get married. harman could've been in laluchacha's good books and "kept his promise" and yet not been in the marriage-promise. so why did he bug meher to stick with it? that - the fact that he made meher lie for his sake - is why i suddenly really don't like harman. i didn't get this.
