Sid Makkad aka Shankar of Mere Apne will play Arjun in Ekta Kapoor's Kahaani Hammaray Mahabharat Ki.
He replaces Harshad Chopra aka Prem of Kis Des Mein Hai Mera Dil, who shot for the serial barely for 10 days.
Our source said, "Harshad was ousted from the serial because he was unable to devote long hours to Arjun's character.
Moreover, he did not have a great physique which is very vital for Arjun's role."
However, when contacted, Sid was not very forthcoming on his inclusion in Mahabharat. He said, "Balaji and I are still talking.
" But Suraj Rao of Balaji Telefilms confirmed the story and said, "We auditioned Sid in Arjun's
get-up and thought that he fit the bill. We have now finalised him for Arjun's character."
On Harshad's exclusion, Suraj said, "Harshad's track in Kis Des Mein Hai Mera Dil increased and hence we decided to replace him."
