No analysis today...just thoughts..lots of thoughts....
Shaadi Ki Taiyaariyan:
Lalit (I'm making a serious effort to stop calling him Ullu since he's redeeming himself) definitely has something up his sleeve.
My thoughts after seeing todays episode:
Tons of attention was given the DJ today that depicted how excited and happy she was about her daughter's wedding. It can't have been for no reason. Too, Lalit was watching her every move, and even egging her on to go all out since after all, its her daughter's wedding. As far as I see it, Undoubtedly, DJ is going to be in for some serious dissapointment. If we take into concideration what Lalit said to her (the convers that Heer overheard and misunderstood), we plan for weddings and sometimes they don't happen...but sometimes, even unplanned, two people get married. I think it was a big giveaway that indeed, this is Premeer's wedding they're preparing for. Lalit is letting DJ get excited and plan all these things for her "beti"s shaadi....can you imagine the look on her face when DJ finds out Preet/Ash aren't getting married? I bet Preet/Ash are in on it too....
Another indication: Prem in the precap today. He's very dressed up for one. I mean, I know its his brother's shaadi, but he looked like the groom himself. Also, he was very happy, blushing and gushing even, as he pushed the hair off his forehead. The reason for this happiness? The idea that soon, Heer will be his wife?
Hmmm....I wanna know.
Memory Loss or Not
This may be a thing with the writers/directors, but....
Yesterday, Heer looked very shocked when Prem came into her hospital room like that...she even retreated as he went to go hold her hand. Indeed, it seemed like memory loss.
Today, she's perfectly fine - no memory loss.
I like Misty's theory in that the stress and fatigue from the events at the dargah could have led to mild temporary amnesia. Her shock just looked too genuine in the hospital to completely ignore it now. This is the best theory I've heard, so I'm going with it.
Today, in the Raasta Roko scene (that I'm upset with b/c in the preview it was longer and here, it was butchered) it seemed as though Heer did remember everything..if you watch closely, she eyes the suit that is in Prem's hand. And Prem is eyeing her the whole time very quizically as if trying to figure out whether she really is lying or not. He goes and stands by the window and tries to collect himself as if he knows she's lying, but he's trying to force himself to just play along - maybe to figure out why she's lying? Then he turns and tells her about the dress, and very accusingly says "lekin tumhe toh yaad hi nahi hoga na...Kuch yaad nahin tumhe? Koi baat nahi - jaane do." ..."kuch yaad nahi tumhe?" There was accusation in his voice as if he were saying "why are you lying? i know you remember...you can't forget, you couldn't forget our past even if you wanted to b/c it is so much a part of you...of us."
I think Prem is well aware that she's feigning the memory loss...but, if he knows, why would he play along with it?
I wanna know.......
Identity Revealed to All
As Misty said: Does Heer remember (that is, if she really has regained all her memory or never lost her memory to begin with) that Lalit now knows the truth about her identity? If so, how could she make the grave mistake of misunderstanding what he said to DJ? More importantly, how could she think her disappearing act will make everyone happy? If Heer leaves, with her leaves any chance of Lalit fulfilling his promise...How Will This Make Him Happy?
ALSO: IF Heer knows that Lalit/Gayatri are now aware of her identity, does she know that Prem too must know? I wanna know why the creatives didn't shine light on this. Granted Prem is supposed to think she's lost her memory and doesn't remember anything, but I still would like to have seen Heer get some kind of affirmation that Prem too knows her true identity now. I don't want her to go on thinking that Prem isn't aware.
And IF she knows that he knows, then how and why would she think that for some reason, her leaving will make things better?
Also, I would have liked to see that Meher finds out that Lalit/Gayatri know about their true identity now. I mean, its a given that they know, and that she knows they know, but I would have liked to see her actually find out that they found out during the storm.
Heer's Insecurities?
What is with her "main tumhare saath jajti nahi hoon"? Where the heck is that coming from? Why does she not see that she is his better half...and he is her better half? This girl has lost her mind. She knows that she's incomplete without Prem...then, doesn't it go without saying that He Too Is Imcomplete Without Her?
Come on, Heer, think things through dear.
Heer's Determination?
She is Hell-Bent on leaving Prem. Before, she wanted to leave him because she was causing a rift btwn Prem and Lalit. But, now why does she want to leave him? All Prem/Lalit problems have been resolved, Prem's back in with the family again, and everyone is busy preparing for their wedding...the wedding they came to India for in the first place. SO, Why is Heer Still so determined to leave him? I'm not buying the "main jajti nahi hoon" business...I want an answer! Does she really all the sudden think that she's not good enough for him? What nonsense!
But, I must say, once she decides on something, she decides on it and follows through (she's very much like Prem in that way...heh...and she thinks voh uske saath jajti nahi hai...paagal ladki - they are the most determined, "main-bhagwan-nahi-hoon" people I've ever come across - clearly a match made in heaven). The girl packed her bag and left - kudos to her for her courage in doing this. But again, she's Not thinking it through. Where will she go? Where will she stay? Does she even have any money? What will she do? And again, why, is she playing run away?!?!
I would like to know....!
Sister Separation?
WHY is Meher not allowed to stay with Heer? According to Gayatri mom, its b/c Heer needs her rest. I'm not buying that. It didn't seem to me as if Heer was resting. AND, even if she was resting, she probably would have appreciated having Meher there with her. SO why the need to separate the two? Its not like Meher was going to be a disturbance to Heer. I just don't get it.
We didn't even get a Heer/Meher scene after the toofan incident. What are the creatives thinking? Have the sister's conversed at all? Has Heer told Meher about how Lalit discovered their identity? Does Meher know about what happened to Heer and that she had Memory Loss? Why wasn't Meher seen taking care of and nursing Heer? (Ok, it was sweet seeing Prem do it, but really, lets be practical.)
And the BIGGEST one: WHY isn't Heer telling Meher of her plan to be a runaway bride...and why isn't she taking Meher with her? If she thinks Meher will be safe and happy with the Junejas, she should know better - Heer is all Meher has and Meher needs Heer right now, just as much as Heer needs Meher. And Meher can never be happy in that house with the likes of Veera around anyway (what's with Veera? I wonder how she can really be related to the rest of Lalit/Gayatri's kids!).
Seriously...I'd like to know...............
Miscellaneous Thoughts
Where was Preet today? Even the "Prem Bhaiya" wasn't his dubbing.
Where is Nihaal and are they even going to continue his angle of the story? (Perhaps Heer will leave, find Nihaal, and Nihaal will see Heer's necklace and realize that she's his sister?)
Where is Beeji? With Nihaal?
Now that Prem is back in the Juneja mansion, Did Lalit kick his so called adopted son to the curb?
How come the sudden change in plot? Why couldn't they just hold on to the memory loss track for a week or two? It would have given us a chance to see some really cute Prem reminding Heer scenes.
Will be back if I think of anything else I wanna add to this list....
