Uff! So much going on! Where to begin? I don't even know! LOL J
Ok… just to try your patience, I'll start w/ the YN scenes. (Sabr karo AA fans. Sabr ka phale meeta hota hai).
So as usual, Ekta did a phenomenal job acting as the spoilt brat naaz. Let me hear a big round of applause. 👏After several near misses, Naaz's true face has come out in front of Yasir (as much as I am leaping for joy that naaz's underworld activities have been revealed, I pity for poor yasir. What khwaishan he had, and look at what fate has delivered him. This is a case in which opposites do not attract, or I might be wrong since it's only been two months since YN have married and much can happen. Nothing from their personalities or life style matches. Hopefully YN will be able to work out all differences… YN should both compromise, not just yasir. He shouldn't be the one constantly having to suck up to and pacify naaz. She should also take responsibility of her relation. Does she not realize that she is setting fire to her own home? What will become of her after this marriage fails? Naaz assumes that azaan bhai will always support her, but that's not necessarily true. As far as I'm concerned, naaz should have taken the initiative and told shahnewaaz that she wasn't happy w/ his arrangement before she and yasir married. It would have spared them both the pain and humiliation. And it is also shahnewaaz's fault that he thought to only possible solution to the near-rape was to get naaz married ASAP. That's not a solution; that's running from reality, something hadi sahib almost did.)
Going back to naaz, I'm so relieved that her true face is finally revealed. I wonder what story she will tell yasir tom. Hmm…. Hahaha! Watch the scene where noor tells her that she had just spoken w/ yasir… she looks like she's about to crap… lmao!!😆😆😆 Tehehehe! Bechari turned pale and had a heart fail! 10/10 on facial expression. 😆
I couldn't stop giggling when naaz sarcastically told noor that nothing's the matter.😆
I have to mention that all the khans are forgetful… or rather impulsive. First, azaan walks out on afreen when she tells him that saniya had called her to bail them out of jail. Arre bhudu, first drop your wife home then go confront that snake. Now, saniya gallops out of the jewelry store. What about the ring yaar!? What if noor cheats you and doesn't give if to you? She can pretend that you didn't even pay! Uff. *Shakes head sadly at naaz and azaan's lack of brain power*😆
Naaz and the darkness scene was... idk... she doesn't have the same lifestyle that she did before, but that isn't the end of one's life. half the darkness in her life is b/c of herself.
I'm quite angry at nandira phoopi. I know she is a "negative" character, but even she should have some sympathy for naaz. I'm not saying that naaz should give up on her khwaabs, her khwaishaan, but she should at least try to maintain the relationship she has w/ yasir. Everyone has to make compromises in all relationships, and naaz should get off her high horse and smell a cup of reality! Her position isn't going to change. It's so easy to hate her because of her immaturity and indifference, but you also are kind of in awe of her because there is nothing and no one for whom she is willing to change, and I admire that because she wants to hold fast on who she is.
Going back to phoophi, she should act her age and give advice that would help naaz. After she mom closed up on herself, she's only listened to nandira b/c she gives fuel to her rage. Whoever said that wisdom comes with age had not met nandira phoophi. 😛
Yasir: Wow! I'm just beginning to notice how great an actor he is. The facial expressions and subtle movements. Sometimes, he gets overlooked because he has a quite demeanor, but there is elegance in his simplicity. The last scene when he finally realizes that tambreen has telling the truth really affects you because you can see how he feels guilty over believing his wife over his sister… someone he has known since birth over someone he has just met. The saying goes: Love is blind… true that.
I wish, however, that he had more of a physical reaction when he heard naaz say that this is his status (when she saw the earings). He should be forward w/ her and tell her that he can't provide her w/ the lifestyle she had b4 they married instead of going out to buy the ring she liked. Fulfilling her every desire isn't going to make her more understanding, it's making her more selfish and bratty.
The AA scenes!!!! I was just totally engrossed. My heart was going dhadak dhadak! My mind was going hai Allah, hai Allah! Ya Rabba!
First scene when AA are leaving is filled w/ symbolism and motifs. I'm going to list them and give a brief description:
- Azaan enters and says good morning, but khala corrects him and tells him to say assalam-a-laykum. I thought it could rep his two different sides. How he was in love w/ saniya, the "westernized, modern" girl, and is now slowly falling for afreen, the "traditional, morally instilled, righteous" girl. I think it reflects his changing attitude, which is later reinforced when azaan, in his feverish state, asks saniya to leave him and afreen alone as there is no place for her in their lives. 👏 afreen comes, and holds her FIL's hand in hers and then he holds her hands in his. This reflects the general support and attitude the family has for afreen. That they will support her in any situation. If anything should befall her, they will always be there for her. Poor Afreen, as she was leaving the house, she promised herself that she would unite AS, but I hope that this doesn't happen. Did you guys notice that afreen was wearing a white dress and azaan a black suit? *Smile mischievously* they finally dressed as they had in the opening credits. I wonder if this also reflects their growing relationship, or if I'm just reading too much into a mere coincidence. 😳 At the airport, I loved azaan's speech about how everything happens b/c Allah wishes it to and whatever happens, happens for a reason. From azaan's tone, expression and smiley, smiley, blushy, blushy expression, I was thinking he was referring to himself and afreen. How, now that they've had a chance to clear past misunderstandings btw them, have started a new relationship, and this honeymoon will bring them even closer. Azaan was talking about them, and afreen thought it to mean AS. I think azaan is fully aware that he's in love with afreen, but he doesn't know how to say it.😕 When he tells afreen that everything happens for a reason, and Allah decided that now was the best time for them to go on their honeymoon. First, the fact that he considers this a legit honeymoon is evidence enough itself, but also that now is the best time for them to travel. AA have cleared all (almost all) misunderstanding btw them. The first impression that azaan had had of afreen has changed, and they have gotten to know each other better. They have started a new relationship, and azaan has no probs fulfilling it completely. It was cute when afreen was complaining that she was tired of waiting for the flight. I was hoping that she would go into full pregnancy mode and start creating a scene by getting all pouty and craving something to eat, but I guess ekta has plans for that later. Anyways, it was just so adorable how azaan pacifies her. (But all those sweet words go to waste as afreen is completely one-minded. Anyone got a skull opener? Maybe if afreen's brain got more oxygen, she'd realize what's right in front of her.😕😆) When the other hubby was complaining how this was such a bad start of his honeymoon, I expected azaan to reply in the negative and say that he's thoroughly enjoying the time he's spending w/ his wife, but his eyes said that all. I hope afreen caught that look. 😊 azzan cares so much for afreen. The way he requested that she should ride in a car and then yelled at the driver to drive carefully. (Ok, I don't care what ya'll say. I know it sounds wired when he calls ppl idiots and it's a bit immature, but I think it's so cute and funny. Seriously, if this wasn't a family drama, he could say worse things to the ppl who hurt afreen. Remember what reashma bi said that afreen's hamsaffer will love her a lot and cannot bear her getting hurt. He's just fulfilling that prophecy.) Uff. Azaan, don't give me a heart attack. When he fell ill and afreen was touching his face and he was calling to saniya, I wanted to strangle him. Afreen was shattered.😭 She jerked her hand back and dashed from the room. God, but it's a shame that she didn't hear next what azaan said: that there's no place for saniya in their life. (I think this is as close as we're going to get to the "drunk" scene, but he didn't confess to either saniya's or afreen's face.)
- I was wondering, azaan was sleeping on the bed, and he would never have let afreen sleep on a couch or on the floor in her pregnant state, so did they sleep on the same bed? Hai!!! Why didn't we get to see this new occurrence? 😡
- Afreen ka dil to rook hi gaya when she found out that azaan had a fever. Expect some awesome hospital scenes guys! Afreen will be running around like crazy praying for azaan to get better. (analogous to an accident scene.) She will raise hell and will not rest until azaan is better
- Then I hope she gets sick and azaan has to take care of her and they have to extend their honeymoon. J
Hey, Saniya's getting a makeover. Hmm… one wonders how she will look. It's too bad azaan will never reach the hotel (nandira phoophi's tip went to waste)😆

P.P.S. WoW! This epi took over 2 hrs to analyze. 😕 But it was worth every minute 😉... now to tackle the dreadful monster sitting on my bed known as homework 😭
