hello every one . my name is saira . i'm new here. i have seen ghar ek mandir it's similar to khwaish. again ekta kapoor copied her own serial , i like the serial but there should be some origanl things without copying her own serial.

Here are other similarities:

Afreen and Azan are laweres and fighting a case against each other.

Naaz is married to Afreen's brother and she is not happy with him as she wanted a rich and handsome husband.

Sanya is similar to Esha who was rich and spoil girl in love with Azaan

Mother's in shock after their son's death

I do not watch Khwaish regularly but was a big fan of Ghar Ek Mandir and Gautami Gadgil and Ram Kapoor back then(it was back in 2000).

yeah.. the story line is similar but not entirely...if u see in every serial , some things will be the same but the concept wud be different.... i was a huge fan of the serial....

Hi everybody, I am new to the forum:-
I hv watched a few episodes of ghar ek mandir - but don't remember much. But what strikes me is some similarity between khwaish and kumkum.. the girl marrying her devar, being pregnant, ex-girlfriend turning into a plotting female etc... I think they hv made a cocktail of both; in kumkum after the generation leap, they showed the bahu slyly encouraging the daughter towards modelling and getting her into trouble later on, just as naaz does now.
Who knows, ekta may even resurrect kabir like she did anuj saxena - kumkum's first husband; although kabir's body was shown etc.. these things always happen with ekta - parvati and om have reappeared from the apparently dead!
Btws, some questions on khwaish, since I started seeing it recently:-
Where is the location of the story? Dubai? How come the court scenes look like that then? Or is it Pakistan? Are the characters Indians or Pakis?
The Naaz character lacks motivation to be evil esp after afreen saved her life - does'nt gel with the story.
Anyways, the serial is captivating due to the excellent chemistry between afreen and azaan. 😉 .. the sparks were there even when kabir was alive.. hope ekta develops it well and not let it frizzle out like shiv and gauri in KAA

anoushka_113- yup the story is taking place in dubai, buh i didn't get y every1 was talking in urdu in the court seen. They never speak in english or arabic in any part of the serial😕 . Anywayz, i luv the spark/ chemistry between afreen and azaan too 😳 , and i hope it stays tht way.

evon, they talk in urdu bcuz the story is of two pakistani families living in dubai. and i too love their spark....stay this way? no way...i want it to get much stronger 😉


and taff and madiha...yea this drama is very old 1999 2000ish i think or maybe even older....my mom used to watch it...and i used to sit arnd and watched random episodes.
