He actually is. He completed his degree while shooting for 11hours+ for D3, he was also the choregrapher in D3 along with actor. Plus, in day out with him IV, Shan's aunty & uncle said shan is very smart, he got very good grades for his board exams, and he was telling his kids, shan's cousins to follow shan example lol😆

About joining research, did you see the WOD choreography, which helped DH won? If you analyze it, it shows, that there was lots of research that were done, the authentic poses, Ganesha poses, kathak, those beautiful formations, must have come from a brillant mind--> shan😉
