Shan acting is definitely better than Hina's. I am not saying that because I'm his fan, but shan did a lot of different roles while Hina did one only
I think it's OK that he was not able to do a task because everyone have their fears he tried that's it for us I think
I was kidding about that script and acting part its very clear that Shantanu has panic he first jump went wrong but he is true champion he still tries to figure it out in that situation too but unfortunately he lost too much breathe so he has not but abort it and second any one can conquer his fear anywaree but in water even good swimmer can panic after loosing a breath
Shantanu Maheshwari, who has garnered huge popularity with his character Swayam in Channel V's Dil Dosti Dance, has taken part in Khatron Ke Khiladi 8. The actor cum dancer, who was recently a part of Sony's Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa, shares his phobias, his excitement to perform the various difficult tasks and his views on the girl power in the show.
While he shares his excitement, he recalls the moment where his family is a little sceptical taking part in KKK. He (laughs) shares, "Though my family is amused with the fact that I am being a part of KKK as they believe I am not made for these kinds of shows. But I want to challenge myself because I never tried something like this and it will be interesting to explore myself. Shantanu, who is passionate about dance as well as acting, has not compromised on either of them; he now wants to try something new and explore himself. He (in an interview with Telly Masala) said, "Ever since my childhood, I have been watching interesting shows like Roadies, Fear Factor (the original one and not the India version) among others and have wondered if I had a chance to it. Finally, when I got this opportunity, I thought to myself, why not something new to challenge ourselves and work towards your phobias.
Speaking of how excited he was with the offer to be a part of the show, he exclaimed, "I was very happy. It was interesting for me to fight and work towards my phobias and emerge as a stronger and a better person.
Listing down his fears, he continued to say, "I have hydrophobia and fear of heights. I know it would be difficult to perform them but yet I want to give it a try.
KKK 8 has seven girls and five boys as contestants in the show. Shantanu, who is popular among girls, while sharing his views with TellyChakkar on girl power in the show, he said, "It was surprising when we got to know that there are seven girls and five boys. It's interesting in a way; it will be fun that there are more girls.
All Shantanu's fans, who are excited to watch the Khatron Ke Khiladi Pain in Spain, he is doing this show to improve himself. He said, "I am not sure how much justice will I do performing the tasks but I am ready to take the pain.

Anyway, since precap showed someone special crying, do you guys know which stunt Tannu will do?
Apart from bridge
Shantanu Maheshwari, one of the young dancers and choreographers of the small screen industry, is all set to take part in Khatron Ke Khiladi, one of the most popular and challenging shows of television. Here is what he has to say about his excitement he feels for the show.
Khatron Ke Khiladi is an out and out adventure game show, how prepared are you?
You can't really prepare for something, there's no definite plan. Jhalak is like a playground as I had been dancing there for years. KKK is an altogether different show. I'm pretty much excited. This is going to be different from a dance show. As an actor, one has to keep evolving. KKK is one such show where I look forward to finding what I can do.
So did you get rid of your water phobia after joining swimming classes?
I am at the moment taking swimming, up as a challenge, since the past few weeks. I have always wanted to learn it, but never really took it up as I had a major water phobia. I'm no master right now. It's not really that easy to pick up swimming but I'm going to keep trying. Maybe, this show came around at the right time where I get to work on my inhibitions and fears.
If you've seen the recent seasons of the show, do you dread doing any task? Any other phobias do you have?
Honestly, I have a fear of heights and water. It's funny because a majority of the stunts will be around that; I'm not scared but maybe anxious and nervous, like I'm before every performance but after it's done and it's over... the feeling is very satisfying. I don't know how I'll do it, but I will do it. Maybe when I'm back, I will be freed of my phobias.
Did you specifically change your diet or fitness routine before you start shooting for Khatron...?
Not really. I have never actually altered my diet for any of my shows or hit the gym and picked up heavy weights because my dancing does the work for me. Apart from acting commitments, I have a dance troupe and we religiously dance for however less time while managing other things. Dancing has kept me in shape, healthy and also strong physically and mentally.
Who do you think is going to be a toughest competitor to you?
I am going with a mindset to be blown away with the degree of the stunts, things that I'll be doing which I never thought I would. I have been part of reality shows before and we know the drill. You stop worrying about competition and concentrate on working on your own strengths and weaknesses.
He took swimming classes for 2 weeks only.
