Contrary to rumours, Ekta Kapoor's Kesar (Star Plus) is not taking a generation leap.

The show will continue to focus on Kesar, and Ekta has finalised the actress who will step into the ousted Nandini Singh's shoes. Prachee Shah, who has earlier acted in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, will now play the title role.

Prachee, who started shooting for Kesar last weekend, sounds visibly excited. "It's great to play the title role. I've committed 20 days a month to Kesar, and I'm sure I'm going to have a ball. It's lovely to be back with Balaji."

No bad blood

Till the generation leap eventually happens at a much later date, the current story will focus on Prachee and Yash Tonkk, with whom she did Kundali for Balaji.

Prachee insists that there was no animosity between her and Kapoor after she opted out of Kyunki.

"My character was going nowhere. During those days, the spotlight was on Mihir and Tulsi. It was a decision that Ekta understood. But I didn't lose touch with her. At times, we spoke on the phone. I even invited her for my wedding, but she couldn't make it since she was in Delhi," she says.

Thanks for the article😊.But I like Nandini better as Kesar,but if things are not working out with Nikhil and Nandini its better to get a replacement then end it,because I like Kesar😛😃😳.
