My point is DV was mentally prepared for a serious approach to honeymoon ,and where romance was concerned , he probably thought he will have to work for it knowing Saachi ...but she soo dazed him that he could not get his bearings...thus Ruslaan 's quiet manner on the first day of honeymoon ,and Sangeeta's more aggressive manner...she had to prove that if she is older so what...she can think young and behave young..this was probably induced by prema calling her DV's didi, Saachi 's overcoming the embarresement,and publicly facing their age difference...so she went against her character...they both reversed their rolls...what Saachi did ,normally DV would do
So Saachi was aggressive ,yet mature and DV was completely nonplussed ...things were out of his control...thus you have a different type of honeymoon...
As for couples join company in their honeymoon, it is not unheard of...I know many many lovebirds in their honeymoon making friends and to this day keep in touch...
Back to DV and Saachi ...they both are shown to be very social...it seemed natural for them to join the other couple...and as for the other couple , they were the most popular couple in Chandigarh and lovey dovey, yet they were the ones who suggested to hang out !
Now since DV saw a different Saachi , second day will be different...there will be more fun and DV will rule ! More fun and games and teasing Saachi !
As for the performance of the leads,they both seemed restricted ...one is married and another is to be...the family and spouses seem not to understand that this is only a fantasy
You have hit the nail on the head. It looks like there is large populace that roots for DV just because it is played by RM and expectations from RM are pretty high. I think my advice is not to mix the two. We are discussing the character DV here as much as we are discussing Saachi the character... I think the episode was simply OUTSTANDING. Here is why i think so.
DV knows only the serious side of Saachi.. She had a private side to it that was very suppressed due to so many reasons. As a young boy, even i was very serious but deep down i was very romantic... my parents thought i will never fall in love and that they can find a girl for me. I surprised them, i shocked them when i not only fell in love but stood like a rock for my love. Saachi too is now revealing what she has deep down and what she can actually do for her man. PERFECTLY VALID... we may argue and debate about why she wore this dress, why she offered a drink etc etc... Come one, these are inconsequential things. The fact of the matter is that Saachi is doing what the serial is all about... living life in its fullness.
DV does not want to offend Saachi and that is why after marriage it is perfectly valid to have him shown a little reserved..., he thinks that Saachi is very shy, reserved, even serious ( remember his teacher comment)... How will he know if Saachi does not show him her depth of what she can do - FOR HIM ... DV knows the value of relationships.. he fought for Saachi, loves her and will do anything to keep her, including changing himself completely, including redefining what intimacy is. Saachi does not want him to do so now. Saachi knows that DV has given her respect, honor, support, just about everything that she wanted in a relationship, in a partner, in society etc. Therefore, with all these "given' to her, she understands what it means to be the woman for her man . She too wants DV to live life in its fullness and even more. She will go to any extent to not have him change so much for her sake.
DV too is enjoying this side of Saachi... he is discovering her little by little.. is this not what he too wanted...
Finally, one really does not need to see physical intimacy of the likes that we see in today's movies. The body language, the eye-locks, the dialogues are quite sufficient for one's imagination, if one is really romantic and wise. We can fill in the blanks, can we not.
