So what was JLZ today...I felt that I was seeing a 90's film where the hero, obviously the rich guy has fallen in love with a poor girl and has gone to talk to his rich business tycoon daddy about his love. Well the scene was very much like it and had the typical sad song ka tadka...
Nonetheless cliche, the show had its high points and was not completely doomed. I would be lying if I say that I found it boring. Even the cliche today was having intresting bits.
Firstly I liked it because today the story progressed, however on predictable lines but atleast it did and I am very happy about it. I liked the rich man Yashvardhan Goel's screen persona. He looked and acted every bit of an achiever. His role seems to get the show into an intresting mode and being optimistic that's something I would like to hope.
Secondly, today DV was out of Panchgani and was with his own family. Somehow he gave the feel of an estranged child who looked not one of them. DV's brother had met him so warmly at Panchgani but after knowing that DV is against the land he looked at complete loggerheads with DV and that to me looked strange.
I completely liked DV's interaction with Anway today and saw a glimpse of old DV. The way he smirked when Anway was not letting him meet their dad and pounced on him with his so called garib cloathes warning big bro to save his expensive dress, was impressive. This used to be the DV we all fell in love with. Never sad, never dejected...but full of confidence to beat the opponent at his own game.
Thirdly in this episode we got to know some more things about DV's past life. There were many scenes today that hinted that DV is indeed the most favourite child of the family and his parents actually let him do a lot if things against their wishes just for the love they have for him. The first instance was when Anway told him about the most expensive cabin of the office which his father made for him although he doesn't sits in it. This showed DV's place in the family even though he chooses to stay away. The second instance was the way father son met, DV's father despite aware of Saachi's truth in his life met his son with utmost pleasure. Third instance was when DV got furious at the intended insult of Saachi, his father immediately pacified him which looked unlikely for such a strong man but he Seems to lose to his son's zid...this shows howmuch is DV loved by him.
Fourthly, I liked that DV's father despite a strong and ultra rich man understands his son well. He mentioned how emotional DV has been ever since childhood so he knew how DV as a person is. Now father know that his son is irrational when it comes to emotions so he will show on the outer to have accepted his wish but as he separated him with that pillu he thinks it's his duty as a father to bring his son to senses and with emotional Dhruv, it has to be the polite way. Infact this shows that father dear care for his son and does not dictate terms on him unlike perhaps Anway who would be shown to be an obedient son...but it will be Dhruv who will be the favourite son.
Fifthly and most importantly, we came to know that DV is a very good lawyer. During the conversation with daddy darling DV did mention that daddy is well aware how good a lawyer he is. Also daddy asked him to come come back as holidays are over so we might see DV working once the story moves to Mumbai and also saw how he is not working since so many months...c'mon he is filty rich and it also appears that he cares damn for money and that's why he has also not joined family business.
After this great piece of information about DV I quiet liked his character more. It's given depth more and more with each passing episode. Today also he stood by his love very unlike Saachi who went weak before grannys and gave it up.
Also coming to Saachi, hers was the only boring part which I forwarded. I wasn't anymore intrested to see her senseless justifications but today she surprised me. She after her yesterday's rantings had mellowed down and was in deep pain. Somehow I could not relate to her pain as I found it somewhat boring. I was more intrested to see new tracks unfolding than the usual trust and pain game she plays.
I don't say that she was any bad today but just I wasn't too keen on seeing that track.
Dils as usual tried to give her sense and at the end she finally admitted to herself that trust is not completely shattered.
I don't want to again go into Saachi bashing mode and she was much sane today but I could not feel the same pride for Saachi as were in DV's words that Saachi is better than the best. I much rather loved the confidence which DV's father had and thinking how he will test her love made me look forward to watch the show much more than for SaRuv romance and trust less love story.
I liked today's episode as it was more than just romance or just senseless rants.
Looking forward to DV's mothers reactions, I was surprised that DV didn't tell his mom and he was only eager to talk to his dad. Wasn't he closest to his mom more, then why this? Mommy's reactions tomorrow will spill the beans perhaps.
All in all I am a satisfied viewer today.
