LOL you know I feel like I've watched the last two weeks of epis so distractedly since I've been in and out...was just now uploading the last week's set of scenes and realized I forgot to talk about that brief moment when DV is looking at the pictures on the wall...I think you mentioned it too and I forgot to talk about it then cuz I was busy ranting about my disappointments instead😆
But now I want to mention it...such an adorable bit...and that picture of Saachi's...looks like a real pic of Sangeeta's from her school days...they have a smaller version of it on the wall shelf near the dining table too...I've noticed it in the background pehle bhi but this is the first time they gave it prominence in a a scene...such a cute pic...and the fact that they showed DV smiling looking at it then wiping the little smudge off of it...these are the simple/lovely moments that make this show.
Yeah, it's a bit hard juggling detail-jotting and busy life duties on a daily basis...even more so during holiday seasons or vacation time!
Oooh, fantastic eye, Anu - I didn't notice that picture before in the dining table scenes, but I'd noticed other pictures...I'll be looking out for it when I watch episodes again. Yay for remembering that picture on the wall again! I know I mentioned it somewhere - definitely left Sangita a tweet about it - but I can't remember where that post was...Chalo, if you remember me mentioning it, that's all I need! 😊 It was truly a lovely bit...The picture itself stunned me for a moment when I saw it since it is so beautiful...and it also adds a nice, personal touch to the show, like those other pictures of Sulbhaji I noticed on the walls...They've done a very nice job with all the photographs, decorations, and mementos around the house, in all the rooms, I've noticed. The house looks very cozy and genuinely like it is inhabited by a family...Same with Dils' house, too. The collection of framed photos in the hall is one of my favorite things about Prabhu Niwas. I love that the picture of Sangita in that pose was finally given a moment to shine, as a snapshot of Saachi's years growing up. DV looks at it so fondly and then wipes off that smudge with so much reverence, too...I completely agree about these little moments that make this show...The simplicity and sweetness in those little details are what keep me coming back to it...
