DVs Dad is such a strict man, really????

Don't know why every time I get confused with anything that comes related to DV's family. Firstly I was confused about his bro, now about his mighty dad. If he is really so so strict according to Ankita, then how could he let his son stay away from home for more than 3 MONTHS?? Its not that he threw his son out of the house. DV sought his father's help to change the date of Saachi's court case, and if I am not wrong he indeed helped his son in this matter. That means they are in talking terms, not much big problem is there between them otherwise he wouldn't have helped his son at all. If DV's dad is really such a heartless man that no one cant even breath without his permission, then how could he let DV to have such a long vacation??? And why did DV tell to every one that his dad is a free, friendly person and always allowed him to do things according to his wish??? Will CVs ever explain these confusions to us??? Don't know...
